This location is the best. 1 block from the beach, within walking distance to anything you want in Waikiki. The lobby is an open, grand lobby. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

This is Diamond Head View!
I was embarrassed because the actual resort fee was different at the site, but when I contacted Trip.com, I got a refund for the amount of the additional payment on site with a quick response.
Location, service, hygienically recommended!

The room was comfortable and spacious, with a balcony overlooking a small garden downstairs and huge fish in the pond! The front desk staff were very welcoming and gave us a corner room with an L-shaped balcony, offering views in two directions. It's close to public transport and the international market, but the hotel's swimming pool is tiny!
In the hotel's restaurant. We had to wait some considerable time to be attended to, we ended up seating ourselves, getting our own menus and water, whilst the sole server juggled his other responsibilities.
After a very ordinary fish & chips meal, with the thinnest fries we've ever seen we received a bill for the equivalent of AUD $90 to which not only had a 4% kitchen charge been added but additionally a further 18% service charge. Neither the meal or service justified this charge in any way. We left what we considered to be a fair and reasonable payment which more than covered the cost. For the AUD$ 75 cost we could have fed four people with a far better quality meal.
We had been unable to use our drinks voucher in the restaurant, so after the meal we went to the bar in the same hotel to use our vouchers to get a drink. Whilst there a very disgruntled server from the restaurant and some random woman from the bar came and accosted us, snatching a jam jar of tap water we had brought round with us to finish at the bar. We were basically accused of stealing a jam jar of tap water whilst sitting at a bar in the same hotel, as paying guests! A waiter from the restaurant hung around the entire time just to ensure he got his jam jar back!
Next morning we loaded our own cases onto the free shuttle bus. The driver tried to dismantle our cases, we asked him to leave our cases to allow space for other guests & we wanted them to stand in the luggage space adjacent to the rack, as they had done on the way to the hotel. The driver began shouting at us, threw a tantrum & went to get his boss, who came out & saw no issue with our cases. The driver then began driving recklessly, racing round corners and braking heavily. Guests had to tell him to slowdown and stop driving dangerously. He then made all the guests remove their own bags unassisted after we informed him his behaviour certainly did not warrant any tips!
A shocking & horrible end to our holiday & not a very good advertisement for the USA Dreadful tipping culture of entitlement even if service does not warrant it!

After almost a decade, I found myself back on Oahu and checking into the Hilton once more. This time, I was very fortunate to encounter a Chinese-speaking front desk agent who enabled us to check in early, a little after 1 PM. We also upgraded to the Tapa Tower for an additional $30 per day. Upon checking in, I realized it was the same tower I'd stayed in years ago. It's only slightly set back from the Rainbow Tower but is significantly more affordable, and elevator wait times were brief, usually under a minute. A big thank you to that Chinese-speaking front desk agent, who clearly outlined the room options and availability across the different towers. Just a friendly reminder: make sure to sign up for a free Hilton Honors membership; otherwise, check-in is not until 4 PM!
However, not all staff members embodied the aloha spirit. Specifically, there was an older, somewhat heavy-set male baggage handler who was incredibly rude and dismissive, with a perpetually grumpy expression. He was the sole reason for any negative impression and instantly put a damper on our mood right after checking in.
A very retro American country hotel. I was a little worried about the poor hygiene and facilities when I read the reviews on Google before, but the final stay experience was far beyond my expectations and I felt it was worth the money.
Facilities: Very retro, like something from an old American TV series, but there are no faulty facilities. If you need hot water, you can ask the front desk for a water heater.
Hygiene: I always see that there are bugs because it is very close to the sea and greenery. There is no air conditioning in the hot season, but we didn't feel it when we stayed during the Spring Festival. It was very suitable.
Environment: Superb, you can see the sea and swimming pool as soon as you open the door. The location is also very good. It is not far from the airport or the volcano. You can also go for food soon after leaving.
Service: Very good, there is reception even at night and they are very enthusiastic to register the license plate. The parking lot has limited parking spaces. If it is full, you can go to the big 🈳 muddy field diagonally opposite to park.
In short, it is highly recommended

The room felt quite new, likely having been renovated within the last two years. The only downside was the incessant sound of running water in our room, day and night. I suspect it's from a water pipe within the wall. Also, the microwave is located at the very end of the corridors on the 9th and 15th floors, built into a wall niche. If you're trying to heat up a couple of items, there's absolutely no counter space or anywhere to set things down beside it.

The scenery is nice and the service is also very good. The front desk is serious and attentive. The room is very clean. You need to queue for the buffet, but the wait time will not be too long. It is also close to the downtown area, about seven or eight minutes away by car.

Nice spot close to the beach. Rooms are clean and spacious but the building is a bit old.
Pricey a bit. There are other similarly priced hotels that are a better deal for the money in the area.
Building is only 20 floors - so ocean/mountain view is kinda limited.
Breakfast is just okay.
Its mostly the same menu everyday for people with dietary restrictions. Same fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread etc. no pancakes or waffles.

Mmay3Since I was mainly visiting Kauai, I stayed here for three days and two nights, focusing entirely on Ala Moana.
It's directly connected to Ala Moana, which is very convenient.
I ate at the food court.
I had a hearty dinner watching the sunset at Signature Steak & Seafood on the top floor of the hotel.
You can also go to Ala Moana Beach.
They also offer free water dispensers.
My shower wasn't working properly, so I called and they fixed it right away. The service was excellent.
The view wasn't great, but that wasn't a concern, so
I was able to stay a little cheaper.
It's also great that there's no resort fee.
There's a Starbucks below the hotel, and it's always open! It's a hidden gem.
I recommend this hotel for those who want to explore the main Ala Moana area.
The staff were also very helpful.
GGUOQINGThe hotel has good facilities and a beautiful environment. Our room is right next to the golf course. Walk in for a few minutes to the beach. The room is not very soundproof and can be heard when walking on the second floor. The parking lot charges 15 dollars.

Jjkim90058Great location between Ala Moana and Waikiki with easy driving accessl during morning and evening rush hours. Room is large and super clean with comfortable bed and bedding. And service is friendly and efficient. This is my choice hotel whenever business brings me to Honolulu...4 times so far in 2025.
JJordan NicholasNestled along the serene shores of Waikoloa, the Hilton Waikoloa Village is a haven of luxury and tranquility. Our recent stay at this breathtaking resort was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the impeccable service, stunning accommodations, and picturesque surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The check-in process was smooth, and to our delight, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Royal Suite in the palace tower. Stepping into our suite, we were greeted by spacious elegance and panoramic views of the beach and lagoon. Every detail, from the plush furnishings to the tasteful decor, exuded luxury and comfort.
The grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village are a true testament to paradise. Meticulously maintained gardens, winding pathways, and cascading waterfalls create an oasis of serenity amidst the lush landscape. We spent hours exploring the resort, discovering hidden gems around every corner. Whether lounging by the pool, strolling along the sandy shores, or indulging in a rejuvenating spa treatment, every moment was a blissful escape from reality.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the friendly greetings to the attentive care, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Whether offering recommendations for dining or arranging memorable excursions, their genuine hospitality made our experience truly unforgettable.
As seasoned travelers who have explored destinations around the globe, we can confidently say that our time at the Hilton Waikoloa Village surpassed all expectations. It was more than just a vacation – it was a transformative experience that left us longing to return. If you're searching for paradise on earth, look no further than this remarkable resort.
3333ひろ333I was surprised at how big the resort hotel was. There was a tram, but no boats. The service to make inquiries in Japanese ended in March. The shuttle bus to the nearby shopping mall was $5 one way, so I walked there (just over 20 minutes). The room was spacious, but the water flow in the bathtub was not so good. From the room, you could see the golf course and the sea. The grounds are large, so I got up early in the morning and took a walk, which felt great. The best spots to see the sunset were written on the map of the grounds, so I was able to see a really beautiful sunset. There were sea turtles and dolphins, and a fun pool, so I had a wonderful time.
혀혀니뚜니It was nice to be right next to Hilo Airport.
There is no elevator in the hotel, so it can be a bit difficult to move luggage. The scenery is nice, but the room condition is not very good.
MMeilihukanshijieThe hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time.
The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea.
GGuest UserIt was a room with a view of the diamond head and the sea.
I was a little worried about the height because I wanted a clear view of the sea, but I was satisfied with the Lanai overlooking the two without any problems.
It is old as a whole, the bathtub is old, and it takes time to get hot water.
