We booked a room with breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel at 8 PM, just in time before dinner service ended. The hotel dinner truly blew us away; there was so much food that two adults and two children couldn't even finish it all, and the quality and taste were superb. There was also a great variety of fresh fruit. The next day, we went to a fruit shop and regretted not having packed up the last remaining fruit from the hotel. I've already recommended this hotel to friends, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit Auckland.

Friendly helpful service, unit was clean and tidy, bed was basic but comfortable. shelf for soap and shampoo etc would be helpful in the shower. external noise was easily heard within the unit. Overall was comfortable and meet our needs.

Our last stop in New Zealand was this airport hotel, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Definitely five stars! ✈️ Incredibly convenient location: The hotel is right near Auckland Airport, with a free shuttle service to and from the airport. This was super handy for early morning or late-night flights, completely eliminating any travel stress – it’s an excellent choice for layovers or transitions! 🏨 Super comfortable room: We booked a deluxe room with two queen beds. The space was bright and spacious, the bedding soft and clean, and the room was spotlessly cleaned. The soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any airplane noise at all, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. 🏊‍♀️ Delightful facilities: The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool! After a day of exploring, a dip in the pool and some sunbathing instantly relieved our travel fatigue – it was so therapeutic! Other facilities were also comprehensive, perfectly meeting all our travel needs. 💁‍♀️ Attentive service: The front desk staff were warm and professional. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and they proactively reminded us about shuttle times and answered our travel questions. Any requests were quickly addressed, showing great attention to detail. 🌿 Wonderful environment: The hotel's overall environment was quiet and comfortable, with clean and tidy public areas and a welcoming atmosphere. It completely lacked the usual hustle and bustle of an airport hotel, making our stay very pleasant. This hotel played a big part in the perfect conclusion of my friend's and my New Zealand trip! We'll definitely choose it again for future layovers in Auckland. Highly recommend it to all travelers needing an airport stopover!

My stay at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre felt a bit like stepping back into the 90s, which was interesting but also a bit polarizing. The hotel's setting is actually quite good, located by the lake and generally peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. It's perfect for those looking to relax. Parking is also convenient, which was a big plus for me as I was driving. However, upon entering the room, the age of the place was immediately apparent: the decor was old-fashioned, from the carpets to the furniture, giving it a distinct 'old-school hotel' vibe, reminiscent of a 90s business hotel. On the bright side, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough, so it didn't detract from the basic stay experience. As for amenities, they were pretty standard. There weren't any particularly modern features; it leaned more towards practical rather than luxurious. The service was decent though, with friendly staff who were quite responsive. The pros are its quiet location, pleasant environment, and reasonable value for money. The main drawback is definitely its age; if you're particular about how new a hotel feels, you might be a little disappointed. Overall, it's an 'aged but not bad' hotel, best suited for those who prioritize peace and practicality over modern decor.

One of the best hotel / motel that I had stayed while visiting North Island. The room is beautiful decorated, very clean, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with bath tub etc. Getting to airport is easy with the Yellow Bus that stops directly infront of the hotel and operates 24/7. On-site parking is plenty and affordable at NZD 10 per day with unlimited exits. However, depending on your booking type, you may get complimentary parking during your stay here. The hotel receptionists AB and Nia are super friendly and always greet you with their smile. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone especially those taking early flight departing Auckland airport.

Nice hotel in the heart of Auckland city.  Very comfortable bed, nice room with all amenities, very quiet.  The hotel opened in 1998 and it shows in the furniture and common areas. Although all in order and clean, they do look and feel somewhat dated

Ideal solution for a late arriving flight, easy and simple with a spacious, well-appointed room. Excellent value for money, especially with the shuttle included. The food was the only disappointment, with a chicken burger being $25 but not having chicken breast patties like should be standard for this price-point - instead it had cheap orange-coloured crumbed minced ”mystery chicken” patties.

Overall, this hotel is satisfactory considering its location, apartment size, staff service. The western restaurant’s food offerings are not good enough but with a high price. A nearby Korean restaurant at the intersection of the drive and Hobson street is wonderful which made me feel better. Two weird things happened: 1. The Hot and Cold water in the bathroom wash desk is not easy to control the temperature of the water. 2. In the early morning, the refrigerator is leaking water and I even did not use it.

Hotel location is very good, crossing a small road is the port, not far from the sky tower Queen Street; the staff is very warm; breakfast is simple but enough to eat; whether the room or restaurant, ventilation is very good 👍

We had an amazing stay. We really loved the location right next to the Sky Tower. It was a special occasion for our son’s 18th birthday. It was a lovely touch having a card and chocs delivered for his birthday! It made our stay extra special.  We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which had so much choice and lovely surroundings. All the staff we encountered  were very efficient and made our stay exceptional.

LLingerbaobeiThe room had a beautiful view, and the balcony door could be opened, but you couldn't get out because there wasn't enough room to stand, which was a shame! The only downside to the room was that if you opened the refrigerator and didn't close it immediately, or if you closed the door too slowly, a speaker on the ceiling would suddenly start making noises in English. Since my English isn't good, I couldn't understand a word they were saying, and it was terrifying! I felt like I was being spied on, and I didn't even know I was changing clothes. Was there any CCTV in the room? It was quite frightening, and I'm afraid to extend my stay.

AAnonymous UserBest hotel experience ever. Everything is nice, clean, well equipped. Staff even gave me advice on how to get to the airport. Have free shuttle to city centre near the harbour. Really enjoyed food and drinks in the club lounge a lot. Breakfast was nice too, with a great variety.

ZZoe_eoZThe hotel's location is super convenient! There's a convenience store right next door, a supermarket diagonally across the street, and a subway station nearby. The room also has a washing machine and dryer, plus laundry detergent. The kitchen comes with basic cooking utensils, including a wok. However, you'll need to buy dish soap and seasonings separately at the supermarket.

DDeevanyah FrostWe just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Waitakere Resort & Spa for one night, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The resort is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by beautiful native bush and stunning views that make the whole place feel like a relaxing escape from the city. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Every interaction felt positive and professional, and they truly made me feel looked after. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared, offering everything needed for a restful night. The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The dining area also has amazing views, making every meal feel special. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the property is calm, serene, and very refreshing. I loved the walking tracks, greenery, and peaceful environment. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy nature. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, great service, and a beautiful environment. I will definitely be returning!

AAnonymous UserRoom is a little run down, especially the bathroom where there was black mold, cracked tiles, flaking paint and damage to the floor. There was also damage to the outside of the microwave and the edges of some cupboards. The bed was made up of two beds pushed together. Bath and shower were quite small. Staff were friendly and non-intrusive, although the room make-up service came in the mid-afternoon (approx 3pm). Possibly suitable for those who wish to self-cater (rooms have kitchenware and cooking facilities) but otherwise there are better options in the same price range.
