Even though it's called an 'airport hotel,' it's actually 3 km away from the airport, and the round-trip taxi fare isn't cheap. Next time, I'll definitely consider a hotel right next to the airport. However, the value for money is really high—only a little over 700 for one night with double breakfast. The breakfast was decent too. It's just that the hotel is quite old, and the room was a bit run-down.
The breakfast was lavish, especially the chocolate fountain! The hotel's dinner buffet is also quite famous in Auckland. However, the front desk seemed understaffed; I arrived after 8 PM, and still had to queue to check in. The room itself was well-equipped, but I was surprised they didn't provide tea, only instant coffee.
The hotel is quite close to the airport, with a lake and scenic walking trails nearby. The room was spacious and very clean, meeting the standards of a star-rated hotel. Breakfast was plentiful, and the steak at the restaurant's dinner was also good.
Room was clean and tidy with cooking facilities. Bed was hard and it was a bit noisy. Staff were good. Some of the parking spaces were very tight so looked for one a bit wider as I didn't want my car scratched or damaged while I was away. Liked how they had free parking and only $5 a night parking after 14 days. It was great that they had a service to drop you off and pick you up from airport. Great value for what I paid.
One of the best hotel / motel that I had stayed while visiting North Island.
The room is beautiful decorated, very clean, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with bath tub etc.
Getting to airport is easy with the Yellow Bus that stops directly infront of the hotel and operates 24/7.
On-site parking is plenty and affordable at NZD 10 per day with unlimited exits. However, depending on your booking type, you may get complimentary parking during your stay here.
The hotel receptionists AB and Nia are super friendly and always greet you with their smile.
I would not hesitate to recommend anyone especially those taking early flight departing Auckland airport.
I turned up late and was given awesome service.
Even made sure I found my room.
Was.only there fo underr 9 hrs max.
Good sleep. Ready for long trip next day.
Thanks for the.stay and much appreciated.
Functional and souless, but a good location for Queenstown with plenty of car parking. The customer service was poor by the usually warm standard of NZ. The receptionist commented on how ”tired you look” Grrrr..who likes to be told that?! And the breakfast venue was so dire and overpriced ($25 each!) we went instead to a nearby woolworths complex with excellemt cafes instead.
This is my third stay here. The location is unbeatable, close to the Sky Tower! It's so convenient for dining and shopping! This is an older hotel, so the facilities are what you'd expect from a 20-year-old four-star hotel. If modern facilities are a priority for you, this might not be the best choice. However, for those who love tennis, enjoy a heated indoor pool, and appreciate having a balcony, this hotel offers excellent value for money at this price point!
The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby until morning. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The service was also excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Auckland!
Excellent airport hotel—ideal for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds, great showers, and a genuinely helpful, friendly team. Check-in was quick and efficient. Breakfast was the highlight and exceeded expectations. Very good value.
Conveniently located as the first airport stop on the Yellow Hotel Transfer bus route. Walkable to the Apex car rental facility, or approximately NZ$10 by Uber.

LLingerbaobeiThe room had a beautiful view, and the balcony door could be opened, but you couldn't get out because there wasn't enough room to stand, which was a shame!
The only downside to the room was that if you opened the refrigerator and didn't close it immediately, or if you closed the door too slowly, a speaker on the ceiling would suddenly start making noises in English. Since my English isn't good, I couldn't understand a word they were saying, and it was terrifying! I felt like I was being spied on, and I didn't even know I was changing clothes. Was there any CCTV in the room? It was quite frightening, and I'm afraid to extend my stay.

YYYutravellerWe stayed in a family room, and overall the experience was great, except for the breakfast! It had two rooms with a kitchen, very spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were also good.
The only downside was the breakfast service. On that day, there were two Korean tour groups, and they were seated before breakfast even officially started. We, as individual guests, were told there were no seats and asked to come back an hour later (breakfast was from 7 to 9 AM, and we arrived promptly at 7 AM). Since we didn't have time to wait an hour, we stood there waiting for a table. Eventually, the first group of over 40 people left, and then the second group of 20 arrived right after! The food wasn't refilled, nor were the paper cups or tea bags. The coffee machine was broken, and there was only one small home-style hot water dispenser, which was clearly insufficient for 50 people. The waiter then brought another electric kettle from somewhere, and when I poured hot water, I saw black flakes – I realized the iron heating element inside was rusty and flaking off... A lot of people had already drunk from it (it was terrifying). In the end, I only ate an apple and drank a cup of tea. There was only one server, nowhere near enough to manage two large tour groups. No one was clearing tables, and the situation for us individual guests was even worse.
Another plus was the free airport shuttle bus. So, apart from the breakfast experience, everything else was very good. Free parking was also available.

DDeevanyah FrostWe just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Waitakere Resort & Spa for one night, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The resort is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by beautiful native bush and stunning views that make the whole place feel like a relaxing escape from the city.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Every interaction felt positive and professional, and they truly made me feel looked after. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared, offering everything needed for a restful night.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The dining area also has amazing views, making every meal feel special. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the property is calm, serene, and very refreshing.
I loved the walking tracks, greenery, and peaceful environment. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy nature. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, great service, and a beautiful environment. I will definitely be returning!
GGuest UserI loved staying with Chancellor on Hobson. The customer service was top tier, and the location was perfect. Is was in the city so it was quite convenient, the wharf is 10 minutes walking distance away, and the sky tower is about 5 minutes walking distance.
I had an amazing time with my partner and the staff were lovely! The pool, spa and sauna and gym were lovely!
AAnonymous UserNestled in superb locations, the hotel offers not only convenience but also serenity. The staff’s service was beyond impeccable, the room exuded cleanliness and order, and the overall ambiance created an idea setting for both relaxation and deep concentration.
