We had a fantastic time at Seasky Resort! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The resort is in a great location—peaceful and close to Siargao’s main attractions. Our room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool was a highlight, offering beautiful views of the ocean. We also loved the food at the restaurant—it was fresh and delicious. Overall, Seasky Resort was the perfect place for both adventure and relaxation. We can’t wait to come again.

In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

Everytime I come home, Watergate is my home.❤️ My one call away friend, Kate, deserves a big shoutout because she's always helping me with my bookings. I know there are times that she's not on duty, she always finds way to help me. One of my favorite travel stories took place here at the Almont Hotel. First a little description of the setting - the hotel is situated on a typical Spanish style town square with an old colonial Catholic church and a central small park with a bandstand and small kiosk businesses around the square. For the second time I was stranded in Butuan, this time due to a delayed flight from Manila arriving close to midnight causing me to spend the night there before continuing on the next day. Remembering my pleasant previous stay at the Almont, I checked in there a little after midnight into a pleasant second floor room. I had just fallen asleep when I felt someone shaking my bed! I woke up but there was nobody there! Ghosts? No. an earthquake! I had experienced earthquakes before so jumped out of bed grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around myself and headed out of the room and down the stairs and into the street joining the other hotel guests who were similarly wrapped in sheets and bedclothes all excitedly milling about while the ground was still shaking.! Suddenly all the power in Butuan went out and with it all the lights as well! It was a starless, moonless night and the square was pitch black and several screams and louder talking arose when suddenly a bright white cross appeared in the sky! I'm sure that everyone fell to their knees in prayer, certain that the end of the world was at hand and this was the Rapture. We were going to meet our maker! Gradually a few generators came to life - the first being the one in the church which was responsible for lighting the cross at the top of the steeple. We were all saved! And given a second chance to atone for our sins! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy retelling it again and again! BTW Butuan as well as much of the Philippines is no stranger to earthquakes with many small tremors every year. But the Almont was completely undamaged and I will feel safe there the next time I stay there!

Location wise it's great. Beachfront with a good pool. We stayed 6 days at their new and spacious Premier Villa. HOWEVER, they could do much better in terms of staff training, customer service, and breakfast food selections. Accomodation is quite pricey - similar to big brands in Boracay, Mactan and Panglao. So you would expect similar service from hotels in those areas. The staff rarely greet you and arent very attentive. We travel a lot and it's the first time my one year old child is being charged for the breakfast buffet. I thought they were kidding at first. Breakfast choices are very limited and repetitive. Had to ask the front desk to give us child friendly food options since our kids are charged for the buffet per day. Overall would give them a 3 out of 5.

The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Note for those who might be confused by this site: The information and reviews on this page are for the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel. There is also an Annex. Tripadvisor currently has the headings swapped.

Far from the city center, reasonable price but unfortunately the shower is lacking water or no water pressure in the morning.

Their new guest room is relaxing, comfortable with good room ameneties. The Hot and cold water is functioning well and room has good ventilation. The room is a 4 star! The Resort ambiance is relaxing. Our group had a planning session for 4 days and our function was well coordinated. Their entertainment (The Gems band) is truly a Gem (good interaction with the audience, great voices and they are flexible with the songs that you may request). We all had a great time with the great service and warm hospitality of the staff.

A very Nice hotel. Clean and well maintained. Friendly personal. And breakfast was also very tasty. Next I stay in Butuan I sure will have this hotel as adres again.

We arrived at 11pm from lipata port, so were no longer picky on which inn we would stay except for one requirement that it should have a heater on the bathroom. And so we choose to stay in this inn since the former two inns we visited has no heater. We stayed at rm 105. As we got in, the room smells like a stinky feet and as we used the heater it didnt work properly and the water has a rusty smell. So it seems that i didnt took a bath after all. I alredy told the staff. Hope they will fix this problem

Everything was great. Prime location and you can escape to the beach in just a few steps. Kudos to receptionist Jem and guard Kuya Mike fas they’re very accommodating and friendly all throughout my stay. I wish there were signages on closing the door slowly though as some foreigners dont mind their own manners when sharing quarters. Some throw their tissues in the toilet and dont tend to flush it, not sure if it’s their culture but something Mad Monkey has no control over. Bonus points on having a lot of bathroom to choose from. They also offer FREE SHOTS at the bar during night party. I booked the bunk through Trip.com for only 648 pesos. When I tried yo extend my stay, it’ll cost me more than 3 times more. So book ahead at trip.com for cheaper prices.

VERY GOOD, NEW HOTEL, EVERYTHING IS AT A GOOD LEVEL!!! CONS: BAD DRAINAGE INTO THE SEWERAGE SYSTEM FROM THE SHOWER AND SINK, UNPLEASANT SMELL FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER WHEN IT WORKS FOR A LONG TIME AT A TEMPERATURE OF 28 DEGREES, ABSENCE OF A KITCHEN!!!

Kalipay was in the best location ever, yet also like a sanctuary of peace! It helped that there weren’t too many guests when we were there too (as we were just at the beginning of the season). The staff were absolutely lovely and helped us book all of our motorbikes, transfers & surf lessons. We had the reception number on WhatsApp so if our plans changed we could easily contact them to help us - honestly, it took all the faff out of the holiday and meant we could really enjoy ourselves. The room was gorgeous and so big for 2 people! Great shower, air con or a ceiling fan, super comfy bed (if you prefer a slightly harder memory foam feel) & complimentary drinking water and tea. There was also a mini fridge of snacks which you did need to pay extra for but we enjoyed this to have a sweet treat post dinner! There are great drink / dinner options within a 2 minute walk, or 5 minute motorbike ride. We would recommend CEV for amazing ceviche (we went twice) & Goodies did a great cocktail. We also ate breakfast and lunch at Kalipay once and enjoyed both meals. Thank you so much to the Kalipay team - we’d come back in a heartbeat! Emma & Ed

WARNiNG!! DONT BOOK for THIS SCAMMERS!! We booked a room for 3 people (as it says sleeps 3 for one room) for August 2023 for one night only because we have flight in the morning. I’ve asked for the agent to change my name to my husband’s as I will be late for few hours and I was the one who booked them so I should show my passport and bank card. The agent changed it to my husband’s name and put my son’s name and didn’t include my name! And when ive complaint about it the hotel asked me for a payment of 2500 gbp extra!! Is something wrong with their heads or what?? Then they denied that in Hotel.com website says that the room sleeps 3. They said they only do 2. Then telling me that my son is 14 so he is not allowed in the room. Told them when I’ve booked, it asked me for my son’s age and there was no problem. Anyway I’ve ready all their policy and there was nothing indicating 18 years old above. What disgusting people!!!

I can say that this is One of the best resort at Siargao. Comfortable, spacious and cozy rooms. Friendly and hospitable staff. Good and heartwarming food. All you need in one good vacation - experience Siargao. Highly recommended place to stay!

Pros: • hotel is new, they only opened last August • room was very spacious • beds, pillows, comforter were very comfortable • bathroom was very spacious with complimentary toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner • airconditioning was superb • room has a balcony (that we didn’t use) Cons • because it’s new, apparently their how shower has not been installed yet. But they provide hot water from the kitchen and will bring to the room in a pail 😂 • location is not ideal as it is a good 10-minute walk on a dirt road to get to the main tourism road • breakfast wasn’t impressive. The tapa and the tocino were tough. All in all, it’s still value for money. The entries crew were very friendly and accommodating. And I will still consider staying there next time.

The service staff is very friendly. It is inevitable that the floor will be dirty after surfing, and they are also promptly cleaned. The hotel is close to the sea, and you can see the sunrise, but there are sharp reefs and no beach. The dinner options are OK. If you don't want to go out for dinner, you can eat in the hotel restaurant. A huge pitfall is that I had never expected before: the hotel restaurant has always had a resident band and DJ, but the volume is very loud, and it will last until 11 o'clock or even midnight. Even if you are tired from surfing during the day, it is difficult to fall asleep at night. In just a few days there, I have encountered several waves of guests who were unable to bear the disturbance and had to move out early. But the hotel management seems to be ***** and is completely indifferent to the guests' complaints. The staff is also helpless, and they only dare to tell me privately that it was not like this before, and the newly replaced management ”has a very wonderful imagination.” In addition, the wifi is always available and not available.
