I am disheartened for so many reasons. First, when we came inside the room, there's a foul smell. We informed the front desk & they sent someone to spray the room. Then there are mosquitoes, i informed the front desk too. When we left the room, they did spray, yet there were still mosquitoes. I also need to request for the supplies every day, which I shouldn't because it should be automatically placed upon making up the room. We stayed there with my hubby & 5yo son for 5 days & 4 nights.
The beachfront view is beautiful, and the hotel is just 10 meters away. We could go straight back to our room after playing on the beach, which was very convenient.
Perhaps Boracay is too small. On our first day, we stayed at PLAM in S2, which was too noisy and disrupted our sleep. This hotel is not surrounded by bars, so it's quiet at night and allows for a peaceful night's sleep.
Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast is a four-star establishment located in the Newcoast area of Boracay. Opened in 2017, the hotel offers 559 chic rooms, two large swimming pools, and access to a 295-meter private white sand beach. Guests have praised its serene location, away from the crowded main stations, providing a more private and relaxing experience. The hotel also offers amenities such as a fitness center, spa, and multiple dining options, including the Savoy Café.
A standout feature of the hotel is its staff, particularly an employee named Maddie. Multiple guests have highlighted Maddie’s exceptional service in their reviews. One guest described their experience as the “Best Guest Experience From Maddie,” emphasizing her role in enhancing their stay. Another review titled “Thanks Maddie” reflects appreciation for her attentive service. Additionally, a guest at the Savoy Café mentioned, “Maddie is the best,” indicating her positive impact in the dining area.
Overall, the combination of the hotel’s amenities and the exceptional service provided by staff members like Maddie contributes to a memorable and enjoyable stay at Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast.
Overall a disappointing stay with Crimson. It started off bad and really never improved sadly.
Our flight into Caticlan was delayed 5 hours, arriving at 19:30. I was in communication with Crimson throughout the delay updating them on our progress and estimated arrival time. They had warned me that they don’t organise transfers after 8pm. However, upon arrival they had left us to transit to the hotel via a third party provider. This provider was fine, and did their job, but it was a transfer that involved stopping at 3 other hotels - very much not the private 5 star experience we had been promised, taking 1 hour and a half. The fact they did not wait until 8pm, when other resorts were prepared and waiting, was a big disappointment. The transfer was eventually provided for free after our experience - which to be honest is the bare minimum. It’s insane I even had to pay for the transfer considering most 5 star hotels would provide this for free.
Whilst the rooms were fine, the service was extremely disappointing throughout. Check-in took ages, and for some reason there is no aircon in anywhere outside the restaurants and rooms, so we were stuck sweating after an 8 hour journey whilst waiting the 30 minutes to check in. Additionally, every single request we made was either ignored or took ages. I had requested decorations in the room to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, but received nothing. I managed to get things organised whilst there, but after requesting matches to light a candle, these never arrived. Add on the fact we would have to request water multiple times before any showed up and it was all just very frustrating.
We had booked a sea view room, but were unable to fully enjoy it as it was located directly in front of the infinity pool, with guests able to see directly into the privacy of our bedroom due to the lack of any noticeable tinting on the windows. The rooms were also not soundproofed, and we had to wake up early every day to the sounds of screaming children using the pool in front of our room.
No amenities were on offer - no access to water bottles without requesting or paying, no access to coffee without paying, no welcome or departure drinks, no free water on the beach (which is seriously just dangerous).
Crimson certainly has a 5 star beach and sea. The access to the beach is superb and the sand and sea were typically excellent, but it’s not as if Crimson has control over these things. In fact despite the environmental fee, I regularly saw some litter in the sea and on the beach.
It felt very budget in the way they treat you. There are shuttles to the centre but these run almost every 3 hours and are often packed, offered on a first come first serve basis. Every little thing is charged too. For a check out at 12pm instead of 11am, it’s 2000PHP. There’s no way to charge anything to rooms to pay upon check out (like every other hotel) if you do not have a credit card. Debit cards are no good for the deposit apparently.
We just stayed at Piece Lio in El Nido, which was far far far superior.
It’s a real shame because Crimson does not do service to a terrific sea and stunning location. It may be the most modern 5 star hotel on the island but honestly just pay the extra and go to the Shangri-La.
It’s almost as if they knew how bad it was. We weren’t even asked how our stay was upon checking out, as if they were dreading the answer. It felt like an American diner leaving, where they just wanted us out the room as quickly as possible to make space for their next cash cow. We even arrived at the airport 3 hours early for a domestic flight for some reason.
The hotel is in a quiet place, on the edge of Bolabog beach, our room had a view of the sea, from a high hill, very beautiful, but you need to climb a steep staircase. I liked everything, I will especially praise the breakfasts - delicious and well prepared
One remark - a canister of water in the room, which they said was drinking water - you can smell chlorine, such water is not suitable for drinking, we used it when brushing our teeth, and for drinking and cooking we bought bottles.

Beautiful hotel with spacious room, very friendly staff and service is great. Beach near the hotel is convenient for kite surfing and not really for swimming, but the hotel is close to white beach also. Hotel has airport transfer which is convenient and great, shuttle to take you to dmall.

The panoramic suite we stayed in had a large room and living room. The most eye-catching thing was that you could see the sea view while lying on the bed. The balcony was very large, about 8 meters long and 2 meters wide. It was very beautiful to lie on the balcony and look at the beach and the starry sky. The color of the sea was rich, gradually changing from white to dark blue, blending with the blue of the sky. The tropical 🌴 trees made the beach full of charm. It was a good place for leisure and vacation, especially suitable for three or four people, and it was 5 minutes away from the beach.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pinnacle. Love the showers powerful and good temperature control, slight downside for water sipping through but all is good. It’s in close proximity to the beach so that was nice, however the part of the beach we were close to had a lot of sea****. Breakfast was ok standard options which sufficed. We like the two Queen size bed per room setup.
One of the thing that we were really thankful for is that they accommodated for our friend’s dietary requirements as she had to fast for the month of Ramadan.
Our stay at Alta Vista began on a disappointing note due to the hotel's early check-in policy and miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. We arrived as early as 10 AM, but were not accommodated for early check-in unless we paid an additional 1,000 PHP, which we declined—despite the fact that the hotel was not fully booked, and many others typically allow early check-in. After waiting until 2 PM, we were finally given a key, only to find that the room assigned to us was still messy and unprepared.
Thankfully, the experience improved somewhat after that rough start. The shuttle service to D'Mall was very efficient. The room itself was spacious but outdated and in serious need of renovation to make it feel more modern. The breakfast was decent, though it could benefit from more variety. There is no beach nearby, so you have to travel back down to either Puka or White Beach. On the positive side, the pool is large, well-placed, and offers a great view.

GGuest UserMy husband and I really loved our stay at Belmont Hotel Boracay. As introverts, we appreciated the quiet and exclusivity of the Newcoast area—it felt like our own little peaceful corner of the island. We even started calling it “the pretty part of Boracay.”
It was my husband’s first time visiting, and I’m so glad I chose Belmont. The whole experience was just wonderful. The staff were kind, polite, and always ready to help. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, there weren’t tons of options, but everything they served was fresh and tasty. We definitely went back for seconds!
What stood out the most was how clean and calm the beach was. Compared to White Beach, Newcoast felt way more relaxed and less crowded, which we especially appreciated since the weather wasn’t the best during our trip. It was still such a lovely place to unwind.
Leaving Belmont was honestly a little sad, we felt so at home there. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to come back again someday. Big thanks to the entire Belmont team for making our stay so special!

DDaniel123On my previous review, I mentioned some of the drawback regarding this hotel. On my recent stay, they have managed to turn things around and made my whole stay an enjoyable one. The staffs were proactive in asking if I need any assistance. The room is clean and spacious and they had more variety of foods for their buffet breakfast. I would most likely stay here again.
DDonna Marie Pellecer-Main AccountLoved our experience! Even it is far from the long beach, the stay is super worth it. If you want peace and quiet, this is the best place to stay. You can spend time with the nature. There is also a free ride going to the long beach depending on the schedule. It is near Ilig-Iligan Beach. Just 5 mins walk. And Puka is near too but you have to ride an e-tricycle if you are not able to catch up the free ride.
JJoel AgresorI had a pleasant stay at La Carmela. The location is great — close to the beach and easily accessible to nearby restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. The room was comfortable and clean, though it could use a bit of updating in some areas. The pool area was enjoyable and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day out.
Breakfast was decent with a fair selection, though it could be improved with more variety. Overall, it was a good value for the price and a nice place to stay for a vacation. I’d definitely consider coming back on my next visit.
PPedroExcelent resort. The resort is offering breathtaking views, pristine private beaches, and an atmosphere of pure tranquility.
The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our villa was luxurious, spacious, and impeccably clean
The food was exceptional across all the restaurants. We particularly loved the seafood at the Sirena Restaurant. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve experienced, with a wide variety of international and local options.
Shangri-La Boracay is the perfect destination for a relaxing escape.
AAleksandr P.We returned to this hotel again from Gigantes Island and stayed for another 3 days. We were satisfied with everything, the only bad thing was that there were strong low tides in the sea. The staff is very responsive and attentive. There is shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper and bottled water in the room, the breakfast is very filling and tasty.
MmcspikyThis is my family's second time staying at Seda Hotel, and once again, they did not disappoint. The staff is incredibly kind and courteous, always quick to acknowledge and accommodate any requests. The breakfast was excellent—especially the coffee, which was a standout! The overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend Seda for anyone visiting Bacolod. It’s truly the place to be! 😃
