Rooms are relatively small. Staff are helpful. Very close to the beach and lots of restaurants and casinos nearby. Parking is super expensive (around 49 euro)
The layout of the room, the bed and the desk are a bit strange, and the shower in the bathroom has no curtain. However, the Dutch can't play by the rules. It's on the 91011th floor of a building. The 12th floor is the front desk, which is also the reception for the spa, but some rooms are not in the elevator location of the front desk. It's a bit difficult to find it by going to the 10th floor. The building is next to the train station, which is convenient for travel. Leiden is like a fairy tale kingdom, very unique. It's worth a visit.
Had a wonderful stay whilst I was at the NHow Rotterdam. The hotel is located near a metro station and tram stop which will take you to Rotterdam Centraal and the main city centre.
The rooms are large, spacious and super modern!
It was a very pleasant experience - staff is very friendly and supportive, atmosphere is welcoming, CORPUS museum is just in front and might be a great place to visit with children, breakfast is delicious, the absolute highlight of the breakfast is the Chef who made my omelette with a big smile :) room was not big but fits well for 3 guest - the bed and the sofa bed both were comfortable. Silent environment. We enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Hilton Leiden Team:)
Hotel was in a good location, right next to the metro and lots of lovely restaurants nearby. For the price, I thought the amenities in the room were lacking. No iron, some of the sachets eg. Shoe shine was torn open, a wine glass was missing, bare minimum of tea options, the bath took 40 minutes to drain, and the hot water was BURNING - burnt myself (no warning). I usually don’t complain about stays but as this a highly rated hotel and for the price I paid, I was disappointed.
Nice NH with pool and some wellness facility. Everything was good apart from having to wait for the room to get ready. We checked in at around 16:20 but the room was not ready for another 25 min.
The front desk was friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
Unfortunately, a small white bag was lost. This was the first time in such a long time traveling in Europe. I am not sure if I forgot to take it at the front desk or it was stolen in the room. I asked the lady at the front desk but she couldn't find it.
There were people knocking on the door in the middle of the night and in the morning. The hair dryer in the bathroom could not be used. It was really a mixed blessing.
I went there for Novotel, but I didn't expect it to be an INN room, and it's far from the city. There's only a gas station in the distance, and no commercial facilities.
Three people stayed in one room, one of which was a sofa bed. The quilt was hard and heavy, and it was very stuffy without turning on the air conditioner.
The highlight of the room was that there was an outdoor swimming pool outside the window, with a good view; there was a cloakroom where you could stack suitcases and sundries, which was very useful.
The hotel is in a very good location. It is very convenient to go shopping in the city. The staff at the counter are very friendly and smiling. There are many types of breakfast and the service is also very good. I have lived here for more than a week. The room and bathroom are very large. Although it is old decoration, it is very clean.

RRaymond J GNice hotel, good location. We rented a suite for a combined business and pleasure trip. Hotel is rights above a supermarket. Be careful!! Supermarket delivery trucks keep you from sleeping at night. Also Internet connection not working. Strongly recommend to not stay here. At least not when you are expecting a good night sleep.....Only poor excuse was offered. Friendly staff, just noisy rooms. Stay away!

GGuest UserGreat place close to bus station but at the time I arrived many of the local food options were closed or very expensive, that’s not the venues fault lol
Ooral aslimHotels location is near Rotterdam Centraal station and this allows you to move easily. They have good staff that welcomes and help you when you need. Hotel has good and unusual concept. I stayed at red room, it was small but has toilet and shower and useful for sleeping. If you have plan to spend time at your room you need to choose other rooms. Only negative thing about this hotel they didn’t change my towels and bed in 3 days time but I didn’t ask for that also :) if I wanted they would do that I believe. Price / performance is great for this hotel 👍🏻
GGuest UserSmart hotel in a good location for exploring historical Gouda. Well-equipped and comfortable room - with kettles available (although not in the room as standard). Nice high pressure shower, good aircon, nice, quiet room. I didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked really nice. There was lots of rather strange, slightly unnerving artwork of people eating cheese... The artwork looked AI generated and overall felt cheap and at odds with the rest of the hotel's design.
The hotel made a show about being eco and 'environmental', however the bathroom cups were wrapped in plastic - this is completely needless (no one ever wraps the coffee cups in plastic!).
Worryingly, on check-in the receptionist insisted that I hadn't paid in advance and made me pay on the spot. When I later checked this I found that, as I thought, I HAD indeed paid in advance. To be fair, when I showed her evidence on my phone she immediately initiated a refund, but really - how can that be allowed to happen?? Surely it should all be on the hotel's system. If I hadn't spotted the mistake I would have paid twice. Not impressed!

LLimOur stay with The James Rotterdam was honestly amazing, front desk was always friendly and helpful and of course the location of the hotel was great as well!
Everything was perfect up until the night before we checked out. Thankfully we were up a little late as we were packing our luggages to leave the next day, when suddenly we heard our door opened, and a man came in, there seemed to be another one waiting by the door. They didn’t seemed “shock” as if like “hey why were we assigned a room with guests still in it”. They said something in their language and they left the room. Next morning we checked with the front desk, she said she was also handling the night shift and had no one came down to report anything about wrong room assignment. Afterwards we left as we were rushing for the train to the airport and the matter was left like that.
We checked out on 11th May around 620-630am, our room number was 703.
If the hotel could kindly look into this matter, we would much appreciate this. Thank you.
GGuest UserSituated in a very good and easily accessible location, jutst few minutes walk from Rotterdam Central Station and to other attractions and shopping points.
Very pleasant staff at the Checkin desk. Very spacious and ventillated room.
Would look forward to stay at the same hotel in next visit
