Booked a total of 5 rooms all under my name. 3 rooms are checking in early which is not together with me, is not allowed to check in even though it has a confirmed booking number. According to the staff, this is the hotel 's policy until they can receive verbal confirmation from the listed booking person. The location is excellent for a short stay or transfer as the hotel is just minutes away from the airport. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nearby can find fast food like McD, KFC and subway. Lone Star restaurant and bar just next to Woolworth supermarket.
We booked a family room and it was split into two floors where the top level had the big bed and the lower level had the twin beds, which worked well for elderly travelers. The interior was stylish and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher and a range hood. Wish they could've provided ice. The only big downside was the parking situation where despite having a big carpark, they charge NZ$20+ extra for overnight parking.
Kaikora hotel was absolutely astonishing from the meals down at the hotel - which I definitely recommend, to the lovely Alexa in the room to give you just the information you need. Sudima hotel had an amazing heated pool with a breathtaking view of the mountains and beach beside. You can save some money if you book directly through the hotel website after subscribing as a Sudima member.
This was by far the best hotel I stayed at in New Zealand. Compared to other Hilton properties, the bed here was noticeably larger and more comfortable. I stayed in a twin room, and each bed was around 1.2 to 1.5 meters wide, whereas other hotels only offered very narrow single beds (about 0.9 meters).
There was also plenty of space between the beds, which made the room feel much more comfortable. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was also decent, making it a very convenient and pleasant place to stay overall.
I would highly recommend this hotel — especially if you’re looking for a comfortable and restful experience.
The hotel is small and the facilities are complete! There is a garage for the corresponding room, but the front desk does not go to work on Saturday and Sunday. The keys will be placed in the envelope after 2 pm, very creative!
Well enough. good. The location is also OK. Interested to try it. Well enough. good. The location is also OK. Interested to try it. Well enough. good. The location is also OK. Interested to try it. Except there's a stain on my bedsheet, the hotel is a great to stay in as it's spacious and other parts of rooms and toilets are clean. 15min walk to Bontanic gardens or to Riverside market and a Casino just opposite.. Was greeted warming by the staffs n a breeze to check in. It's worth for a long stay where all amenities are provided, especially love their Huia series.
Just to note the towels are changed every 3 days but u can have it changed upon request for environmental friendly purposes.
The hotel is fairly centrally located (about a 15 minute walk), but at the same time in a quiet area. The room was huge, for lack of a better term - it's basically a lounge, a twin room and a double room. Not sure if that's actually the room I booked or an upgrade. At any rate, it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The outer design is also very nice. There's also afternoon tea for free from 15:30 till 16:30. The price is not particularly low, but all things considered it's value for money (only 25-30% more expensive than a private room in a hostel), especially if more than one person is staying. All in all, a great option, if your budget allows it.
The hotel is very close to the city center and can walk to the largest amusement park in New Zealand's South Island. It is very suitable for bringing children. The bed is very large. It is very convenient for a family of four to sleep in a twin room. The bed is also easy to move.
The only problem is that the positioning of Google Maps is not accurate, and you need to find the entrance.
A great business option, given location (walkable from airport and for me my meeting location). Thevhotel has a pretty standard restaurant and buffet breakfast.
Services and amenities standard (coffee making facilities,a fridge, a couple of sky channels and a work desk etc). No microwave.
The hotel as far I could see, has quite a large footprint, (I.e., single storey) ... so be prepared to walk quite far to your room (an issue for me since I am recovering from a broken foot).
Nice and quiet. Comfy bed ^^

BBocaiaihaozheHappy with this hotel. It's in a very central location, right next to the cathedral. The hotel itself was also very clean. However, the shower in the bathtub only had a half-screen, which meant the bathroom floor got completely soaked after showering. Also, parking costs 25 NZD per night.

DDan SudakovThe hotel is right in the center of town, not a bad restaurant downstairs. The room had an iron, hairdryer, a few towels, bath amenities and even a fridge. Unfortunately my adapters did not work, but the reception gave me two adapters for the duration of my stay.

AAnonymous UserAfter landing in Christchurch on a red-eye flight, it was already deep into the night when we checked in. The gentleman at the front desk, who had a British accent, was incredibly enthusiastic and efficient. Whatever we needed, even in the dead of night, was promptly brought to our room after a quick call. The hotel is conveniently located right behind a street bustling with restaurants, and it's also just a short distance to the city center for shopping. In fact, we later regretted not staying here again when we returned to Christchurch after our travels and opted for a different hotel.
HHudeedooExcellent! Highly recommended. I enjoyed the central location. For those drivinv just park at parkmate which is beside the hotel and i paid ard 18.50nzd a day instead of valet parking by hotel which is 35nzd
NNomadikThis is my 3rd stay in a few months . Each time, consistent check in process . Cordial and efficient on late night flight arrival into CHC. The team overall is super friendly. This time I was allocated a newer business room on 4th floor. These are amazing ! Large, modern sis opus bathrooms, plenty of wardrobe space, balcony, full size desk. I wished I stayed longer to enjoy for longer. The property is busy yet very quiet. So easy to sleep and get truly good rest. My favourite hotel near the airport. I tried two others which are also good but so noisy outside the room, which does not work well for me when arriving late in the night.
