Excellent location, super convenient! It's just a 2-minute walk from the Shinkansen exit to the hotel. You pass by a food street with all sorts of restaurants on the way. You take the escalator up to the 4th floor to check in. On the 4th floor, there's a lounge exclusively for guests where you can enjoy free coffee and juice. There's also a gym, and the view is quite nice. The room is spacious enough for two people. And the Gyutan (beef tongue) street inside the station? A perfect 100%! ๐ฏ
The hotel's elevated location offers stunning views even from the lower floors. Four rooms have private baths (loan-kiri-furo), each with a unique style. The semi-outdoor baths are very airy. The large public baths are both indoors and outdoors, and soaking in the fresh air is highly recommended. The hotel also offers a full range of amenities for women, and the breakfast is very thoughtful. The hotel also hosts various events for festivals, such as fishing for snacks and fairy wand experiences.
Great location, about a 10-minute walk to Sendai Station. It's very close to the morning market and there's a convenience store nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and the kettle boiled water quickly. The lobby is also very beautiful.
Great location! Few minutes walk from Sendai station and surround with lots of shops, restaurants and department store. There are 7-eleven and Starbucks at the first floor. The room is very nice. Everything is new, clean, with good space for two 28โ luggage to open at the same time and we still can walk around the room. The staffs were so nice and provided prompt support. We found problem about the hair dryer at midnight and the staff changed a new one to us immediately.
There are free amenities that you could pick at lobby.
Highly recommend and would definitely choose this hotel if we have a chance to visit Sendai again ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
It is located on a hill a little far from the station. There is a shuttle bus, but it is also within walking distance. The view from the room was amazing. I was able to enjoy the sunrise without having to go out in the morning. Thank you!
very nice Onsen hotel.A very good Onsen.Room is Big compare to Japan Standard.Food was Buffet Morning and Dinner.A lot of variety. Not to bad to eat.Nice view to the mountain from my room.
Itโs an up scale hotel which located next to outlet mall and shopping mall. However, if travel by train might not be convenient but I heard hotel has shuttle bus service from Sendai train station. The room and bathroom are bigger than usual Japanese hotels.
Although it was a cheap plan, the room was clean and spacious, and it was too spacious for just two people.
The room was fully equipped, with a toilet, a bath, and a small sink separate from the washbasin.
You can bathe at the group facility Kounkaku and the nearby Takinoyu for free, which was very satisfying for hot spring lovers.
There was also a free shuttle to the parking lot, and the service was excellent. The crab at dinner was the firmest and most delicious of all the all-you-can-eat crab I've ever eaten. This is definitely one of the ryokans I'd like to visit again.
The Liff Max Hotel is located near Sendai JR Toga City Station and is about 15 minutes walk from the station. The room is spacious, you can open two suitcases, there is also an open air, guests can use it for free!

BBosiLeeThe room was quiet, clean, and looked very new. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and provided excellent service. The building's earthquake resistance is outstanding โ early this morning, there was an M5.7 earthquake in Miyagi Prefecture (intensity 3), and I felt both the bed and the entire building shaking (O_O)! Despite that, it felt very secure! You can stay here with complete peace of mind!
Complimentary toiletries are available on the 1st floor, along with tea and coffee sachets. On the 2nd floor, you'll find washing machines, dryers, a water dispenser, vending machines, and an ice maker.
The room was quite spacious. Both the hairdryer and showerhead were high-end Refa brand, which was a pleasant and novel touch. Daily complimentary bottled water is also provided.
No deposit was required, check-in was quick and convenient, and check-out was incredibly fast! Highly recommended!
GGuest UserI am so glad I chose Komatsu-kan during my stay in Matsushima. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. When I told him I am a vegetarian, he kindly informed the kitchen to exclude animal flesh and seafood from my meal. (Usually, hotels ignored my food request, or they just gave me tofu and pickles for my meal.) The next morning, I was so surprised to see my breakfast. I loved the fresh salad, steamed vegetables, over-easy eggs, chawan-mushi, and the pickles even tasted better than before.
Then the room surprised me with the pine tree and the beautiful sea view. The next morning I woke up at 4:45 to see the sunrise. Just from my room, I could see the sun slowly rising from the other side of the sea. Stunning! I really enjoyed the little Me time here.
Actually, this hotel is well-maintained, and that helps raise the value of it. I also love the fresh little flowers right next to the washing basin. And the people working here are quite ya-sa-shi. They are kind and gentle. Generally speaking, this is a nice place worth staying and relaxing in.
MM262711****The hotel is super close to Sendai Station, making transportation very convenient. It's also near Tohoku University, Sendai Asaichi (morning market), observation decks, and 7-Eleven.
The hotel service is excellent; check-in and check-out were quick and easy.
The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and tidy, with water and toiletries provided. When leaving, I noticed in the reception area that the hotel has won many awards. The breakfast buffet isn't huge, but the variety is decent, typically Japanese. They even have Sendai's famous Zunda Shake, so no need to go all the way to the station to buy one! Whether for leisure or business, it's a solid, comfortable stay without any real drawbacks.
On the day before I left Japan, there was a tsunami and earthquake. I was in such a panic late at night that I ran down to the lobby in my room slippers to consult with the manager. I apologize for that; please forgive me. I later realized that the staff on duty in the lobby were incredibly polite, warm, and helpful in their replies, and they all remained very calm.
GGuest UserHotel Monterey is centrally located just outside the Sendai Station and is easily seen after you exit the station. The staff was very courteous and helpful at the time of check in. Language could be an issue but is easily manageable. I was offered a single room in a lower floor and on my request for a room on the higher floor, without any hesitation I was allotted a double room on the higher floor.
The ambience of the restaurant for breakfast was great and the variety of food served catered to Japanese and western. The breakfast was delicious.
I had to extend my stay and this was also done seamlessly without any issues.
Overall a great hotel centrally located with plenty of shopping around. If I come to Sendai again, I will return to Hotel Monterey if I visit Sendai again.
NN Hovenvery nice Onsen hotel.A very good Onsen.Room is Big compare to Japan Standard.Food was Buffet Morning and Dinner.A lot of variety. Not to bad to eat.Nice view to the mountain from my room.
MM291451****I didn't encounter a Chinese-speaking receptionist, but I could still communicate with them. Dinner is served at 5 PM and 7 PM, a buffet with 90 minutes allotted. The best dish was the oyster rice; the oysters were of good quality, and you were given a small pot to cook them yourself โ a great DIY experience. The rest was just average buffet quality, edible, though the beef tongue was decent. Breakfast is served at 7 AM and 8 AM, with 60 minutes allotted. I recommended the seafood donburi, yogurt, and milk โ so delicious! The best part was the bar behind the lobby, with unlimited drinks. The room was large, and I think I was upgraded. The problem was the air conditioning; you could only adjust the level, not the temperature. However, I didn't need to turn it on when I arrived, so I didn't try it. There's a Lawson convenience store near the bus stop, and Leilei Gorge in the other direction, but I didn't go there.
SszjimmyGreat location, about a 10-minute walk to Sendai Station. It's very close to the morning market and there's a convenience store nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and the kettle boiled water quickly. The lobby is also very beautiful.
GGuest UserMy stay at the hotel was decent. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was generally polite, but I felt they could have been more attentive. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, it was a standard experience without any standout features.
TTravelightPerfect hotel location. A few steps to the shopping streets, restaurants, groceries, and convenient stores. A few minutes walk to train stations. Hotel was clean and we were given a family room instead of just a double bed room with windows facing the main road where the shopping streets are. Staff were all nice.Price was reasonable as it was not a busy season. Breakfast was reasonable for the price. Would love to stay again next time we are on that side. Thank you.
