No return to Japan in three years!
The most anticipated trip this trip is Li's Zhuquanzhuang Hot Spring Hotel will stay for 2 nights! On that day 2022-10-21 My wife and I were driving to the King of Tibet at 11 am in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The most ideal time for default is four and a half hours! At 6 pm, I arrived first! As soon as I arrived, the staff of Zhuquanzhuang used super kind attitude to condolences! After explaining, they dry the room without saying anything! Check-in at the extreme speed! After finishing, we will have a beautiful dinner for us! Fear that I will starve to death! After eating, soak up a hot spring and all the troubles are drying! On the second day! My wife and I are going to the nearby attractions to scare down the cable car to scare the maple leaves! About the hotel 6:30 meal! I know that the car is slower than before! Another half hour later, return to the hotel first! They again use their kind attitude to condolences! So they have used a kind of attitude to care about the guests for two consecutive days! Prove that the quality of the hotel service is not vegetarian! I really feel that they are waiting for their family to come back to eat! No matter the restaurant, open air style and room privacy is extremely high! Their service attitude is better than I thought! Looking forward to coming back next time ⋯!
I am not a god of food so I did not write food review!
To the hotel tips: the first time to be Boding outdoor wind Lu!
I heard this was the best hotel in Sendai when I booked it, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The rooms are spacious, the views are great, the service is excellent, and the restaurant offers both delicious food and stunning scenery!
The location is superb, just a ten-minute walk from Sendai Station. You can easily walk to places like Tohoku University (the former site of Sendai Medical College) and Zuihoden Temple.
The hotel here has spacious rooms with Japanese futons to sleep on. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff provides good explanations. The onsen here is very large and has many pools. The lounge provides clean services twice a day. In the evening, there is unlimited wine, beer, and snacks. Breakfast is good, with a wide selection and delicious.
If I have the chance, I will definitely come back to stay here again. I would like to recommend this hotel
Facilities: Excellent, right below Sendai Station with all the shops and restaurants you could ask for.
Cleanliness: Clean, though there isn't much of a view, just a parking lot outside.
Environment: Decent.
Service: Good, the front desk speaks English, and check-in was smooth.
Highly recommended. High-rise sea view rooms in the off-season are about 2000 RMB. The rooms are large and the view is very good. Daguanzhuang is located on the mountain, which not only ensures the view but also ensures that the price is not particularly outrageous. Then there is a hotel bus to go around Songdao. The quality of breakfast and dinner is also very good. I really want to secretly ask which product the crab steamed buns are made of. They are very delicious.
This hotel is perfect in every way. The view is excellent. Matsushima Coast, one of the three most beautiful views in Japan, is well-deserved. Sitting in the room, you can enjoy the beautiful view. The cuisine is impeccable, the small details are amazing, and the open-air hot spring makes the stay experience even better.
This is genuinely the cleanest hotel I've stayed at in Japan in recent years. Aside from a bit of dust on the outside of the mini-fridge (which absolutely wouldn't affect your use; I just have a habit of wiping everything down inside and out before using it), every other part of the room was spotless. Although the check-in time was quite strict, strictly 3 PM, seeing such a clean room made it understandable. I've stayed in much more expensive star-rated hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama, but none of them were this clean.
First of all, I need to correct the hotel location given by Ctrip. It is called Kamakaki Onsen in Japanese. It may be the result of the automatic translation software. It is called Kamadao Destination Onsen on Ctrip. It is very funny.
Overall, the price-performance ratio is good. After all, the price is there. It is relatively economical for Japanese hot spring hotels. You can't ask for too much.
In terms of hardware, the room I booked has to use the public toilet not far from the same floor. Of course, it is very hygienic, but it will be inconvenient if you get up at night.
The hot spring is divided into men's pool and women's pool. It is worth mentioning that according to the hotel, the hot spring water is from the source and is not recycled, so the hot spring water quality is very good.
Dinner and breakfast are OK.
The surrounding environment is very quiet, and a good sleep relieves fatigue.
The staff is warm and thoughtful.
I stayed at this hotel due to a foot injury. I originally thought I could eat all three meals – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – at the hotel since they have three restaurants. Breakfast was abundant, and the semi-buffet lunch was reasonably priced. However, I was a bit disappointed that for dinner, the only option was some food at the 14th-floor bar. When checking out, the front desk helped me call a taxi to the airport for 6000 JPY, but the meter showed 6800 JPY upon arrival at the airport, so I saved 800 JPY. Thumbs up for that!

Amazing
IIampareGreat location! Few minutes walk from Sendai station and surround with lots of shops, restaurants and department store. There are 7-eleven and Starbucks at the first floor. The room is very nice. Everything is new, clean, with good space for two 28” luggage to open at the same time and we still can walk around the room. The staffs were so nice and provided prompt support. We found problem about the hair dryer at midnight and the staff changed a new one to us immediately.
There are free amenities that you could pick at lobby.
Highly recommend and would definitely choose this hotel if we have a chance to visit Sendai again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

JJoyee LaiFrom the moment we entered the hotel, the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. We were warmly welcomed with a Nespresso coffee machine available as a welcome drink, which was a very nice touch.
The room was slightly more spacious than most hotels in Japan, beautifully designed, and very clean—making our stay comfortable from the start.
During our stay, we experienced the Aomori earthquake. We could clearly feel the shaking, and our phones received emergency alerts, so we quickly evacuated using the outdoor emergency stairs. When we reached the lobby, a staff member named 佐藤 (Sato) was already there, calmly reassuring guests. He noticed a lady who had run out barefoot and quietly brought her a pair of slippers without making a scene—such a thoughtful gesture.
Mr. Sato was friendly and attentive during check-in, and during the earthquake he remained calm, clear, and informative. His professionalism and kindness left a deep impression on us.
Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service and genuine care for guests. Highly recommended.
ZZhutoudabaobao✅ **Pros:**
1. It's brand new, having just reopened last month (June), and that freshness truly makes a difference!
2. Excellent value at just over 500 per night, especially for a room with a 1.8m king-size bed! This was a lifesaver when traveling with kids! We sadly didn't find another king bed of this size for the rest of our trip. 😂
3. They have a lovely public bath (onsen style) ♨️, and soaking there was my absolute favorite way to unwind. It was my first time seeing a 'Shampoo Bar' where you can pick your preferred shampoo and conditioner.
4. The service was excellent. They even gave little gifts to my child – toys on both of our two stays, which made my child incredibly happy! 😊 They provide a comprehensive range of skincare amenities. Plus, there's a free coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby, perfect for a few late-night drinks.
❌ **Only Downside:**
It's not extremely close to Sendai JR Station, roughly a 15-minute walk. However, you can reach it by walking through Hirose-dori pedestrian street, which is bustling with various restaurants, cafes, drugstores, Don Quijote, and other shops.
GGuest UserThe location is fanastic. It is close to Sendai JR Station, Sendai Morning Market and shopping streets. It is especially important given we have 2 ninety-year-old ladies in our group.
Breakfast was great. The dining hall was of Art Deco design. It had a mixture of western and Japanese dishes. The amount was plentiful and quality was good.
The onsen was free. There were jacuzzi and old water bath. It is pity that there was no open air bath.
We would consider a return if we happen to come back to Sendai.

OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.
SSunshinaIt’s definitely a 5 star hotel experience, the staffs at the reception is very helpful and professional.
There’s a petite yet posh boutique located at the lobby, traditional Japanese restaurant, western cuisine and Chinese restaurant with standard, yet the price is reasonable.
Although the double bed room is a little bit small, but mattress is comfortable, toilet amenities are with “full Japanese standard” ;)
The location is great, with family-mart, 7-11 and some little restaurants surrounding around. There’s even a local wet market around the corner, local shopping malls with affordable price. As it’s nearby the Sendai station, it’s convenient to go Tokyo or other prefecture, this city center is amazing and filled up with all branded name chain stores.
GGuest UserMy stay at the hotel was decent. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was generally polite, but I felt they could have been more attentive. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, it was a standard experience without any standout features.
