The room was quiet, clean, and looked very new. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and provided excellent service. The building's earthquake resistance is outstanding – early this morning, there was an M5.7 earthquake in Miyagi Prefecture (intensity 3), and I felt both the bed and the entire building shaking (O_O)! Despite that, it felt very secure! You can stay here with complete peace of mind! Complimentary toiletries are available on the 1st floor, along with tea and coffee sachets. On the 2nd floor, you'll find washing machines, dryers, a water dispenser, vending machines, and an ice maker. The room was quite spacious. Both the hairdryer and showerhead were high-end Refa brand, which was a pleasant and novel touch. Daily complimentary bottled water is also provided. No deposit was required, check-in was quick and convenient, and check-out was incredibly fast! Highly recommended!

The hotel is conveniently located on the third floor right inside Sendai Station. The rooms are quite spacious, clean, and tidy. It can be a bit tricky to navigate the station, but if you see Din Tai Fung, you're practically at the hotel entrance. Sendai Station offers countless dining options, and the charcoal-grilled beef tongue is an absolute must-try.

great loacation, just a few minutes walk from station. lots of food and shopping nearby. convenience store at hotel building. Has self laundry and microwave, amenities (including drip coffee) provided. staff are friendly and professional, they helped keep my luggage overnight between my two bookings. room is spacious and clean, bathroom is quite large. as the room face the street, it is a bit noisy in the evening as people leave restaurants after dinner/drinking.

The room itself was remodel, the rest of the area like bathroom and general area shows its age. But as with all hotel in Japan even when the building is old, the facility maangement is always top notch that everything is kept spotless. Meaning while the style of the decor is older everything is always like mint. Cannot get more central location its always next to the busier street of Sendai and few min walk to the train station. the triple room with 3 beds is perfect for our family of 4.

A nice little hotel, conveniently located near the Sendai Station and is easy to find. The artificial public hot bath, though small, is nice to get rid of fatigue after a day's tour. The breakfast place is a bit small but the food is very nice with sashimi. A bit disappointed though as they didn't serve beef tongue curry (beef curry instead) on the day of my stay, but overall quite a good hotel and will book again if I ever visit Sendai again.

This hotel in Sendai offers great value for money. I've stayed here a few times. While it's a bit of a walk from the station, it's not too far. The rooms are compact, the breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the service is very warm and welcoming.

Hotel Monterey is centrally located just outside the Sendai Station and is easily seen after you exit the station. The staff was very courteous and helpful at the time of check in. Language could be an issue but is easily manageable. I was offered a single room in a lower floor and on my request for a room on the higher floor, without any hesitation I was allotted a double room on the higher floor. The ambience of the restaurant for breakfast was great and the variety of food served catered to Japanese and western. The breakfast was delicious. I had to extend my stay and this was also done seamlessly without any issues. Overall a great hotel centrally located with plenty of shopping around. If I come to Sendai again, I will return to Hotel Monterey if I visit Sendai again.

The location is close to Sendai Station, however, they should train the junior staff to be more helpful.

Mitsui Garden Hotel in Sendai is about a 15-minute walk from JR Station, just past the shopping street. There's also a bus stop right outside. The hotel is very new, with a great ambiance and kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection is excellent, offering both Japanese and Western options. The service is also top-notch. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Overall, I was satisfied. Parking is in the hotel's backstreet garage. After parking, you need to go to the front desk to pick up a coupon. It costs ¥1,500 overnight and is valid for one parking and one access. Access to Sendai Station and the city center is via the 2nd-floor overpass, making it convenient and easy. The men's bath is relatively small, with only one pool; the women's bath has hot and cold pools and a sauna. Remember to get the free popsicles, especially the milk-flavored ichiban.
