An hour’s drive from the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park, it’s clean and has breakfast. It is very quiet at night and the bathroom and bathroom are very convenient. My friend and I are renting a car, so an hour's drive to Huangshi is also acceptable. If you are not afraid of people on the road, it is OK~ very good

The house would have been nice for 4 women on a work trip, all having their own room. The rooms were in fact nice and the house was set up well. The host though was awful and we had a terrible experience. When we checked in, the heat was below 40 degrees and freezing in wintertime, which is absolutely unacceptable. We asked for blankets, which we received, but we still needed to sleep in outdoor gear because there were no space heaters (the host said there were), and the blankets were insufficient. The shower was running when we arrived - enough water to take a shower. Despite our complaints, we were told nothing could be fixed until morning, and the only solution was to turn up the heat very high to try to heat the house faster. The house was advertised as yellow, but it was white, which made it difficult to find at night. When we asked for a refund due to lack of heat, management not only lied in emails and refused, but were incredibly rude. They claimed we had children with us, which wasn't true - we were 4 adult women traveling for an early morning work event the following day. Staff saw each of us in-person when dealing with the heat and water issues. Management also claimed they offered to move us, but they didn't offer that, because they said they had nowhere to move us to. We hoped the host would make it right, and I'm very disappointed that they didn't. The lack of customer service and rudeness in a small town like Helena is disheartening. Please take your business elsewhere and support other folks who care about their customers. I do not recommend staying here.

Staff was very friendly, but they weren't very presentable.....messy hair, stained clothes didn't look like they cared about their job. They were friendly though. The place smelled like curry, which is a smell that, personally, turns my stomach. There was hair stuck to the shower walls and standing water in the tub with a film on top of it. Breakfast wasn't ready when I was told it would be. I had to turn things the waffle maker on, and the apple juice was fermented every morning.

The good and the bad: Good: Price was less than most in Missoula, the room was clean, bathroom had been remodeled, wifi and TV worked good. McDonalds and KFC are nearby (Is that good?) Bad: Neighborhood is kind of rough. Other than the bathroom and the flat screen tv, if I had walked into the room in 1970 I would feel right at home. Lighting was very poor. The beds were old and not very comfortable. They were probably there in 1970. There was a fair amount of noise from the road. No fridge or microwave and no breakfast. Summary: It was Ok for one night but not very comfortable. I think they are trying to update things and make it go, but there remains lots to do.

Absaroka Lodge

The Absaroka Lodge was a great place for us to stay during our trip to Yellowstone. Chris at the check-in desk was awesome! Informative and kind, he made check-in very easy! All of the staff there were great. We stayed for two nights - very convenient location - less than 5 minutes to Yellowstone's entrance. Walked to dinner both nights (Iron Horse Bar & Grill and the Cowboy Grille), as well as shops and ice cream. You can even walk to the Roosevelt Arch, where we saw elk crossing each night - there were even a few near the lodge. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the Yellowstone River (two chairs and a table). The room was clean (other than a few spiders, but being so close to the river that's not unexpected). Microwave, fridge, A/C, and great TV. Comfortable bed. We would stay again!

The room is large, and the price is a bit expensive on Saturday. Two large beds in the suite, as well as a sofa can also change the bed. Breakfast is OK, the place to eat is a bit small, and the air conditioning outlet is blowing.
Sportsman Lodge Melrose MT

A stay at the Sportsman Lodge in Melrose, Montana is good for the soul. Wonderful scenery and a quiet place to enjoy the beauty of the State. Ken and Bonnie hit it out of the park again, on my last visits in July of 2023. The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. Melrose is a great place for me to break from a long trip from Nevada to Montana. They never disappoint. Stayed in the main cabin and the Lodge on the way back. The Lodge now has a restaurant and bar, so every thing a person will need for a restful break. I highly recommend a stay at the Sportsman.
Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Kalispell - Glacier National Park Gateway
3.3/595 Reviews
We were looking for an inexpensive room for our 2 day visit to Kalispell! By far the cheapest hotel and while you get what you pay for our stay was not bad. The room was dated and showed wear and tear but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It came with a microwave, mini fridge and a small kitchen table if you wished to eat in your room. Continental breakfast was included. Over-all our stay was okay and we spent our money on what matters…the tourist experiences in Kalispell.
