Stoiho1The rooms and bedding were really clean, and the surroundings were quiet, so it was nice to relax. The boss was also very kind, so he took care of the necessary parts carefully, and thanks to that, I stayed pleasantly.

No tea bags or coffee sachets provided, which is a bit weird. Water pressure for shower is way too weak. No room cleaning services, leaving alone having your new towels put outside your room in the morning. Only 4 lifts serving way too many hotel stayers, resulting in long waiting lines and thus, time. Views are magnificient however. The room is so massive and the balconies are spacious.

Guest UserThe hotel is located 3 streets away from the ktx station, not more than 10mins walk with heavy luggage. And 20mins walk to the Jungang Market & shopping districts. Plenty of bus stops around the hotel. Convenient store around the corner.
The two guy receptions I met during my stay were super friendly and helpful even though they don't speak much English, and I felt very welcomed.
The basic room was perfect for solo travellers, may be slightly tight for a couple. Everything was clean and well maintained. There is not only a hairdryer, but also a straightener provided in the room. The shower's water pressure was good, and had an electric bidet. Bed was just right, streets weren't noisy at night, and I had a comfortable sleep throughout my stay. The housekeeping lady was lovely and taught me how to operate the A/C. Probably just the TV was hard to use as it was all in Korean (but should be able to connect with Netflix).
There are public PCs and washing-dryer machines with detergent provided at the lobby, and a lounge stocked up with instant noodles, breads etc. Everything mentioned above is free for guests - a big plus!
Just right opposite the hotel there is a potato soup restaurant - which is the best food I had in gangneung!
I definitely want to be back, and recommend to anyone making a trip to gangneung.

Olga AlThe hotel is nice and conveniently located within walking distance of the station. There's an elevator, but the luggage storage isn't obvious and doesn't lock. There's no staff on site, but you can contact them via a call button. I really liked the scents, and while the hotel is pleasant, it still lacks a cozy feel, and the air conditioning blows directly onto the bed. Also, the batteries in the single remote control for both the TV and AC were dead.

The owner was super kind and friendly! We came in to drop our bags, and they allowed us to check in wayy earlier than we were supposed to. For the price that I paid, I am VERY impressed with the room facilities. It was spacious, there were water dispensers and microwave on every level. The Microwave needs a bit of cleaning though. But my room and toilet was SUPER clean. I wished that they prepared normal sized towel, because we were only provided with a 'face towel'. But that's not a big issue. Location was okay, maybe 5-10 minutes walk (depending on the zebra crossings) to the nearest bus stop/metro. After checking out, owner also allowed us to leave out bags in her house (ground floor of the motel). She was very friendly. She can speak Korean and Chinese (Not English, but you can use Papago). Motel's location is also very near to a few cafes, a GS25, and restaurants. So it was very easy to have breakfast or dinner. Also walking distance to shopping area (Myeongdong-gil). That area also had MANY photobooth spots, a big Olive young. Conclusion: location was amazing!

Bokkie TruongA pleasant place for a short stay. It's a bit ”out of the central area” but a 30 minute walk to the station. Rooms have a small kitchette but lacking basic crockery etc. A convenience store next door is useful.
Our room was on 11th floor so away from street noice and with lovely sunset views over the city and mountains

To be honest.. all's good. Just 2 mini grumbles..
1. I suppose because they do generally allow their guests to smoke in the room, i can still smell the tabacco lingering. Not the best smell through the nights there.
2. No lifts. Thankfully my luggage is not heavy this round so its still manageable else i could foresee an issue lugging it up and down the stairs.
Now.. the pros..!
1. It is very clean. Bathroom attached which its great.
2. Room size is okie for 2. Has tv, wifi, lots of plugs.. facial care as well actually.. and a rather nice-smelling diffuser.
Spacious even, to put 1 luggage. Theres a heater and aircon unit ( of cuz not needed in this winter season)
3. Bathroom is spacious. There's towels provided. Shampoo, bodywash and toothpaste even! Abundant hot water.
4. A stone throw away from the bus terminal. Less than 5mins walk. Loads of eateries, cafes and even a diaso. Oh and the market.
5. Small town.. so everywhere's walkable. Quiet, slow-paced town. Awesome to chill here.

Kay SomneukThe hotel's location is excellent, you can clearly see the beachfront and sea view, while rooms on the other side overlook a lake. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores, and it's very close to a bus stop.
Amenities are well-stocked, including a hairdryer, in-room slippers, housekeeping service, and unlimited drinking water, plus a free water dispenser that helps cut down on plastic use. I also liked being able to open the windows for fresh air, and there are still insect screens in place. One small note: I couldn't find the amenities at first since they were kept in a box placed in the bedroom area, a label on the box would make them easier to spot.
As for towels, only short hair towels were provided; larger bath towels would be more convenient. The housekeeping staff were generously attentive, though the bathroom cleaning wasn't quite thorough, I noticed some stray hairs left in a few spots.
Overall, the hotel's location and service were very good.

It is in a great location, literally in front of the beach.
There is a self check-in available at the front desk, but for some reason it didn’t work so ended up talking to the reception staff anyway, which is okay.
While the main features of the room were clean (bedding, bathroom…), the air con unit was completely black with mould inside. Unfortunately I have some mould allergies, and so I had some reactions overnight.
The room also had some strange marks on the wall.. I think that the quality of the room looks better in the photos than the reality…
While I did book this place a little bit last minute (a few weeks in advance, but during peak time), it was overpriced for what it was (150,000₩ per night with a coupon).
It’s certainly not the worst place in the world, but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had to choose.
