A very good more upscale hotel in Montevideo. it's close to many transport options and breakfast was included as well.
The rooms were alright; but nothing that wasn't working.
The staff were super welcoming and warm, always attentive and smiling, especially at the front desk!

The hotel is old, the location is good.
The hotel is not big
There are six rooms on the first floor.
Breakfast is not included, about 10 knives, local currency 450 pesos
Not many choices
There is a shopping mall nearby
A few hundred meters can go shopping
Prices are not cheap, actually

First stay feels good
First of all, the front desk service was very friendly, and it was very convenient to speak English to our check-in procedures, and the room was very clean.

Freundlicher Empfang und einfacher Check-in. Zimmer sauber und alles drin. Frühstück mit frischem Obst und frischem Saft, aber abgepackte Marmelade. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt und würden wieder kommen!
Breakfast is quite good, although the choice is relatively small, but the quality of the product is very good, the fruit is very fresh, and the omelet technology is first class. Mainly the room is very clean and comfortable, the surrounding environment is also good, there is a pizza restaurant next door is very good, just ten minutes walk from the city center. Overall, the price is very high.

Decaying hotel and installations.
Needs repair/retrofit urgent.
The room was terrible: dirty and scratched walls, bed seemed to be recently used (although it seemed clean sheets) or was badly made.
The bathroom was old and the floor was dirty
the whole experience was a nightmare.
Breakfast is not so good and does not include water in the rooms, the rest fulfils its functions by location near the embassy

Very Good
GGuest UserAlthough the room is not big, it is very clean and tidy, and the front desk service is also very good. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
GGuest UserHotel location is very good, go out is a beach, the room is quite clean, unfortunately there is a music festival, the sea view room is gone. . (But the locals say this is not the sea, they are called river)
WWenjingThis hotel located in a very convenient location for tourists, right on the Plaza Independencia in the city center, walking distance to all the sightseeing sites, facilities are quite good, breakfast was above average, however if you want to go out for dinner after hour, there're very few dining options around, most restaurants closed before 8pm, even though Montevideo is generally safe, that area behind the hotel was dark and gave eerie feeling.

BBryce van de LaarWe spent two nights in Alquimiste and we never wanted to leave! The guesthouse which is almost 100 years old is full of antique furniture, original artwork, and even has a lookout tower on the 4th floor boasting 360 views of the Carrasco neighborhood.
It is a 2 minute walk from the beach and very close to some of Montevideo’s most famous restaurants. Carolina and Mark are delightful and happy to help with anything.
The restaurant is lovely, and the breakfasts is a real treat. Hot croissants, freshly baked scones with marmalade and cream cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, and beautifully plated granola we’re just some of our favorites.
Staying at Alquimiste, you really feel like you are apart of something special!
OOscarVery well located, in a quiet and residential area.
Cleanliness and service were up to expectations.
Its comfortable and spacious facilities.
Breakfast well varied and of very good quality.
Kk0sm0It's a hotel near the Independence Square in Montevideo, so I think it's a good place to stay for sightseeing purposes, but I have some points to worry about, so I'll point out that. First of all, the soundproofing is weak, not only can you hear the sounds and voices from the corridors and stairs, but also the sounds from the outside. From midnight to morning, I couldn't sleep easily and felt uncomfortable because I could hear the noise of people who were running EDM and making noise clearly. Next, the overall aging was progressing, and the water in the shower room on the upper part of the room was leaking little by little, but the lower part of the room was leaking. I put up with it because it was still a small amount, but I felt that I needed repair soon. Finally, it was nice to have a unique room and floor plan, but I was worried that the details were broken or not moved. As a hotel, I got the impression that it was fashionable and clean for the season, but there was something to worry about, so I think it's good to consider whether to stay based on that.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located outside the bus terminal of 3 Cruces, which is convenient. The room Igotwasquite small and therefore, the toilet was inconvenient to use due to lack of space. The service at the hotel was quite weird, they always had the main entrance of the hotel closed, so youhad to knock the gate every time you wanted to get in. To have your room cleaned you had togo toreception and requested cause nobody cleaned the room, only the ones where the guests checked out. I find the service of the hotel quite weird and for a chain like Wyndham quite bad.
MMister StephenAt first I didn't like the look of this hotel. There was graffiti outside and my room was cold. I spent most the night looking at more expensive hotels. The next day I was glad I didn't change to another hotel. The heater in the room eventually did its job. The location turned out not to be so bad. The breakfast was good. The desk staff were very helpful. It worked out well, but next time I would book a hotel near Pocitos.
LLanaStar13The hotel is located right opposite the station. Very convenient, so chose. Comfortable bed, white skiing, what you wouldn't say about towels. Well, why don't hotels provide at least one small bottle of water? ! I had to go to the supermarket, too across the road. For breakfast you can say almost nothing. Toast bread, butter, jam, one kind of cut cheese and ham, coffee, milk, juice and mushrooms. There were no vegetables, no fruits, no yoghurt. Baking 2-3 the species is absolutely tasteless. Omlet is required. Otherwise it would still be hungry at all. It is possible to stay overnight, but breakfast is definitely not recommended to take.
