My daughter stayed at the hotel for one night before leaving Durham after graduating. The hotel was quite large, with a resort-like feel, and the rooms were spacious. However, there were very few staff members; only one person handled check-in at the lobby, and they gave me the wrong room key, forcing me to walk across the entire hotel to get it back. No one helped with the luggage cart, and I couldn't even offer a tip.

The room is large and has water and coffee supply every day. Go out to eat in many restaurants. Breakfast is not particularly rich, it is better to go outside to eat. Very close to the airport.

I stayed here with my family for a three day long vacation. We LOVED it. We needed a pack n play crib for our youngest and they were very accommodating even though we checked in late! Also, they had a fantastic breakfast. Very very clean with the best views!

It was very cold so it as great to stay at the ******. Our request to be on a high floor was granted and I enjoyed our view. Overall everything was very good. The machines could have let me win a little more!

Staff very friendly and attentive! Rooms were very clean and well kept. We have found our new halfway point for traveling to FL! Location is awesome and has a lot of restaurants nearby.

The hotel is very nice, the environment is very elegant and the facilities are very good. The restaurant waiter was very welcoming and the dishes were quite delicious. It is a pity that there is no breakfast, but the place to shop nearby is not far away.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ballast very much. It is located within walking distance of many things to do, see, and eat. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and that was comforting. The bathroom, while clean, has a few unique characteristics. The sink has very little room between the faucet and sink bottom. The commode is extremely low to the ground. We found it quite odd. We would stay again requesting a water view room.

Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Really good shower. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Coffee was very good. Staff very friendly. I would recommend and I would definitely stay there again.
