My daughter stayed at the hotel for one night before leaving Durham after graduating. The hotel was quite large, with a resort-like feel, and the rooms were spacious. However, there were very few staff members; only one person handled check-in at the lobby, and they gave me the wrong room key, forcing me to walk across the entire hotel to get it back. No one helped with the luggage cart, and I couldn't even offer a tip.
Wow!! This beautiful hotel totally exceeded our expectations! We were having some issues with a third-party booking agent and the desk clerk Derek did an outstanding job of helping us through the challenges. Every aspect of the hotel is first class! The decor is beautiful. The room was fantastic and they offer many nice touches like a wine reception, upscale toiletries and comfortable robes and the sheets were very soft. The hotel manager, Anna was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. If you are looking for a hotel in the downtown Asheville area, you will love this hotel! We have stayed at many nice hotels over the years, and this hotel is definitely an A+.
This Hotel, overall is OK, Location is Fantastic, surrounding got restaurant , pharmacy and convenient store, all within short working distance, the room window not clean, during cleaning nee more suction the dust, under bed a lot of rubbish, the cleaner need to remove the bed and do cleaning, not just chang the mattress, bottom also need to clean, i found this because my heard phone drop to the floor then accidently saw this, need to improve. the breakfast is good, especially mii burger is tastily.
for me , this good hotel for stay, those need convenience for surrounding restaurant, it can be your first choice
If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills place to rest your head for the night, Motel 6 usually gets the job done. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional. The prices are reasonable, especially if you're on a tight budget or just passing through town.
Rooms are generally clean and straightforward—bed, bathroom, TV, and A/C. Don’t expect luxury, but most locations keep things tidy. I appreciate that they often allow pets with no extra charge, which is a huge plus for folks traveling with furry companions.
Staff friendliness can vary depending on location, but I’ve had more good than bad experiences. Check-in is usually quick, and they try to accommodate special requests when they can.
The biggest perk? You usually know what you’re getting. Whether it’s a small town or a city edge, Motel 6 tends to offer consistent value without surprises.
Overall, it’s a solid choice when you just need a clean room, a hot shower, and a good night’s sleep without breaking the bank.
More than 12 o'clock to allow early check-in, the service is very good! Twin room can sleep 4 people (slightly squeezed) There is a fitness room and a free laundry room on the ground floor. The surrounding environment is good, there is no difference in the Duke campus and in the forest, especially close to business schools and law schools. Breakfast for $20, standard American buffet (Bacon sausage, potato and fruit scrambled eggs, customizable quiche)
Because I participated in the graduation ceremony of my daughter Wake Forest University, I specially chose this nearest hotel. It is usually about 100 knives. The day of stay is the day before the graduation ceremony. The price has increased by 50%. The overall is relatively clean and tidy. The configuration of the hotel is convenient.
It was very cold so it as great to stay at the ******. Our request to be on a high floor was granted and I enjoyed our view. Overall everything was very good. The machines could have let me win a little more!

DDawn Mosely-NixonCan't say the hotel was too bad. However I can say the location is somewhat sketchy. Directly outside of the hotel their is alot of activity going on which is needless to say very questionable. Possible drug deals, ************ and drug doing. There is a gas station/convenience store right there on the premises which too draws a large crowd. However the rooms were ok. I just didn't like that I felt my car would be unsafe in there parking area due to the amount of questionable traffic. So sad to say I never took my luggage out the car in fear someone standing by would notice a bag or two and come back later to check it out. I did choose to leave but not because of the lodging. I think if you can get past the outdoor activity it may make for a nice rest spot.
TTravelers. The room is large and clean, and the bathroom is bright. However, slippers, toothbrushes and other supplies are not provided. If necessary, you have to ask at the front desk, but slippers are not provided.
There is a private parking space. However, there are several stairs to go from the lobby to the room, so you need to carry your luggage.
15 minutes drive from the airport.
There are many restaurant options nearby.
RRae FrykbergWe arrived around 2:30 ish pm and needed to get to our room, order LYFT and go to a meeting scheduled for 5:00 pm. The desk person said check in time is 4:00 but would ck to see if a room had been cleaned and ready for occupancy. He verified one was ready and allowed us to go to that room. We were appreciative of the cleaning staff and the desk person.
All the hotel employees were friendly and courteous. The desk personnel even helped me with getting a Lyft app set up on my phone. The breakfast buffet was really good and extensive. There was always a line to cook waffles which caused a back up and slow moving line. Maybe have more waffle irons available. I wanted to order food from a nearby Panera Bread but the desk personnel called and/or looked up on line to find it had closed. She suggested if I placed an order thru the Panera Bread app, the person who drives the shuttle could take me to a different Panera Bread a little further away to pick up the food. I accepted her offer, bought the driver a snack and gave her a tip. I was able to have a wonderful mid afternoon meal.
The beds were very comfortable. I like the bathroom door with ”cloudy” glass which allows light in for use of the bathroom overnight. I like the use of attached to the wall containers of bath soap, etc. which definitely cuts down on use of smaller containers partially used and thrown away.
One important thing we suggest is the street sign for Arrow Street be much larger. Not being locals, the area was unfamiliar with us, there is heavy traffic and the Arrow Street sign is very hard to see.
Otherwise, we were very happy staying in this hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is clean and I'm glad it's non smoking. They had a sign that they had cocoa, but they didn't have any. I got locked out of my room a couple of times, but the front clerk helped me. I liked the fitness center, except one of the machines didn't work. The walls are kind of thin. I could hear the couple in the next room **********.
GGuest UserI was very disappointed with the service I recieve. The first night I could not close the shade so I stayed up most of the night because there were cars and a lamp pole shinning directly in my window. I was lied to by the receptionist on duty that the maintenance man would fix the problem the next morning.. Again I had to endure the lights shinning in my room. I was told that they would move me. I was told by staff that the other rooms had broken shades also. I suppose to have a handicapped accessible room. Their virgin of a handicapped room was a shower with a overhead water and a small bench on the floor for a smallshort person. The maid did all she could to help by covering the window with trash bags and paste board boxes which worked amazingly well. I gave her a nice tip for helping me. I had to go to Walmart to purchase a shower chair so I could take a shower. They refuse to refund my money so I couldn't go any where else. I should not had to endure 2 days of little sleep and no shower cause it could be fix with a chair under 50 dollars. No hotel should be allowed to advertise handicapped accessible if they don't meet the minimum standards of what accessible means. The hotel is very convenient to my family and friends. The food was good and the receptionist on the day we left did apologize for the inconvenient.
JJessiWe booked a room for 2 adults and 1 infant. Our room was nice and spacious with a king sized bed and a chaise lounge sofa -that also was a fold out bed. The room was even large enough for us to comfortably open a Pack-n-Play and still have plenty of room to function. It fit perfectly beside the bed and did not block the sofa so that it could still be used. The room also had two dressers, a tv, a desk with chair, two night stands, a mini fridge, coffee maker, closet with safe and a bathroom with a glass door shower (no tub). This hotel is pet friendly too, so I noticed some claw marks/scratches on the back of our door -but it wasn't very noticeable. The hotel also has a fitness/gym room and a pool. There is a sign in the bathroom that states in order to save on water/energy waste they will change out towels and sheets every three days, but if you’d prefer everyday then just let the front staff know. We stayed for 5 nights and our linens never got changed out, nor did the trash. (Not a dealbreaker for me, as I like my privacy and knew no one had been in our room.)
The staff was really nice and greeted us each morning as we went for our outings. They even offered to take photos for us so we can show our little one when he’s older.
Overall, our stay was lovely. Would definitely book this hotel again when visiting Raleigh.
