Decent hotel but far from anything special. I think its still riding on its reputation. Overkill on security which is just a formality, but great if you get a kick out of staying at an extra ”secure” hotel with people kissing your ass. Also good for leg day because it takes about 10 minutes to get to your room due to stupid amounts of security and how big the place is.
Hotel rooms outdated, there are much better options for literally half the price. I just booked to see what the fuss was about (and this is coming from someone who regualrly stays ar 4/5 star hotels all around the world)
Reception staff also need to be more approachable, personality dead as a wooden top
Its a good place to stay if you want the illusion of being wealthy or having prestige. If you already have that, you wont like it.
Just my 2 cents.
The rooms are comfortable; staff is friendly and helpful. On request, I was allocated a room with a view of the main Boulevard Gulberg. Breakfast was good and staff there is also friendly. It used to be possible to park my car in the basement and get into the lift and go straight to the floor of my room. This has been discontinued because of security reasons which is understandable. Good range of food from their restaurant delivered to your room; prices are reasonable, the taste is authentic. I am a happy customer overall.

Good hotel, they bring complimentary water and apples. The room is of normal size.
In the restaurant, dinners are either a menu or a la carte, depending on the requests. There is a lot of meat and sweets on the buffet, vegetables and fruits are minimal, but this is everywhere in Pakistan.
There is a swimming pool - women's and men's visiting hours are separate.
The hotel has a small guarded area.
The area is normal, better than in the center. Only a taxi takes you to the sights.
UBL ATM in the hotel - you can withdraw from foreign cards - this is rare in Pakistan.
The service is excellent!

GGuest UserHaving read that the Pearl Continental was a 5 Star hotel, made me look forward to staying there.
Upon arrival, the staff at the reception desk were very courteous and professional. Check-in was slow due to some alleged computer issue.
The rooms were nothing special and looked very tired and in need of renovation. Especially the bathroom, which was on par with a 1 Star establishment.
Breakfast was acceptable and service reasonable. Definitely not to 5 Star standards.
Again the reception desk staff professional and courteous upon checking out. The icing on the cake for me was when we checked out, I asked where would be the best place to get a taxi. They said they have a desk near the entrance and the staff there can arrange transport for us.
So we approached the desk and told them where we wished to go. After tapping on a calculator for 5 minutes the chap told us the fare would be 10,000 Rupees. 10,000 I exclaimed! This was more than double for what the journey should be. I was expecting it to be slightly more as it was being arranged by the staff of a so called “5 Star” hotel.
I shared my thoughts on the fare but the chap was not interested. I reluctantly accepted the fare, paid the 10,000 rupees in cash, whilst trying to convince myself that it’ll save me walking a few hundred meters down the road and haggling with the taxi walas in the midday heat.
So we were escorted to the vehicle by the chap from the desk. The vehicle wasn’t anything special, just a standard saloon, which had seen better days.
The chap from the desk, gesture for me to follow him back to the desk, whilst he asked my wife to make herself comfortable in the car, and the driver began putting our cases in the boot.
I followed him back towards the hotel entrance and asked what was going on? He casually replied that he had miscalculated the mileage and would require more money. To which I laughed and replied that the cost was already more than double. How could he be asking for more!
I shouted to the driver to take the cases out of the vehicle and asked my wife to not get too comfortable.
I then told the chap at the desk that I have never been dealt with in such an unprofessional insulting manner. I voiced that these type of extortion tactics are very unbecoming of a so called “5 Star” hotel. I demanded my 10,000 Rupees, which he grudgingly gave to me.
Suffice to stay, I will never be staying at the Pearl Continental in Rawalpindi ever again.
It’s most definitely NOT a 5 Star hotel in any shape, way or form.
With staff like the guy who tried to rip me off, not once but twice, in broad daylight, just highlights the festering desperation, greed and total disregard of any form of respect or decency that exists here. Absolutely no shame.
Anyway we walked 6 feet outside the hotel and got a taxi for 4,000 Rupees for the same journey.
Be careful, everything isn’t what it seems. Watch out for these smiling passions and daylight highwaymen.
AAbid (郑和)Overall, my stay was enjoyable. The hotel's location is quite convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes, and shopping malls, particularly on M M Alam Road. However, the single beds in the standard twin rooms felt a bit small. The check-in process was smooth, and the valet parking was very good. Breakfast offered a typical Lahori spread with a variety of food options, which was nice. If you have booked in advance, be prepared to pay some taxes at the reception. Additionally, you'll need to deposit a certain amount as a security hold, which will be refunded at checkout. I found this a bit unusual. Overall, I believe the hotel is slightly overpriced, considering the quality of service and facilities provided.
GGuest UserThe hotel was great
Only thing is you should have complimentary
Spa not to charge 3200 rupees to use the sauna and steam room
That’s is not good
I have stayed in Serena hotel
Defence raya, pc, and avari hotel
None of them charge for this service
I was put off because of this

GGuest UserIts an old apartment complex. Most bedrooms are based on 3 bedrooms suite style. The bedroom window opens in the corridor and that itself is such a lame tactic of Avari. The location itself is quite inconvenient as you need to take a 5km u turn whenever you exit or enter the property. Overall, the hotel is disappointing and depressing. I hate to stereotype but It looks like another faizabad hotel took over by careless abbasi (s). The staff is apparently courteous but never cares to listen or understand the guests concerns. I hope that management will consider this as a constructive review and make solid improvements.

侯侯Apart from the old hardware in the room, everything else is very good! The whole building is very local and historical! Dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening with local singers performance appreciation, it is also a very good experience!
KKhanNaveedThe hotel was good overall. The coffee is not great but that’s usual in Pakistan. Room service was a bit disappointing - I ordered a margarita pizza and club sandwich - both were pretty bland and uninspiring. They tried to charge me for breakfast at check-out but pointed out it was included in my trip.com booking. They corrected the charge but I would have expected they get this sort of thing right before presenting me for a bill that is not correct!
