The hotel is located in the centre and you can reach everything walking away. The information about parking at the hotel in the pedestrian zone was super notified in advance. The staff was friendly. The room equipment was very simple and came into the years. Nevertheless, everything you need was there. Breakfast was also simple. But little choice but toast, cutting, fruit and yoghurt was there. Who wants to make a great city trip and doesn't have any demands for equipment and ambience, can stay here more cheaply for Dutch conditions.

Right across from the train station and easy walk to old town across canal. Room is big and clean- a bit dark- bed is comfy and good pillows. Excellent WiFi. Staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a/c but not super cold- staff kindly added a fan for me. Windows open - love that. Grocery store up the street. Kettle/ coffeemaker and fridge in room.

Located in ”Draheten”, close to the bus stop of 320. The front desk is polite and welcoming and the service is very strong. The restaurant is large and quiet, and the dishes are very good. The room was clean and tidy and the view from the window was very good.

My husband and I stayed here a few nights. Great location to City Center. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. We didn’t use the restaurant option because we felt it to be more expensive than what was offered locally. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We would consider staying here again. Not sure why they have so many negative reviews- maybe it’s expectation / perceptions?

Wij verbleven het eerste weekend van oktober 2024 met ons zoon van 7 en mijn ouders, zeventig plussers, in het aparthotel Boschrijck. Mijn ouders waren sinds een half jaar, na een zware knie operatie van mijn moeder, voor het eerst een weekendje weg. Helaas bleek dit zeer teleurstellend. De matrassen van de eenpersoonsbedden zijn alleen geschikt voor kinderen. Ze zijn zo ontzettend zacht dat je er volledig in weg zakt. Ook het tweepersoonsbed is aan de zachte kant. Ze hebben 2 nachten zeer slecht geslapen. Helaas bleef het hier niet bij. Op de zaterdagavond hebben wij in de Brasserie gegeten. Het is lang gegeten dat wij zo zijn teleurgesteld. De zalm van mijn moeder kwam rechtstreeks uit de diepvries en leek gefrituurd of in een te dikje laag olie gebakken. Het had niets met verse zalm te maken. De kibbeling van onze zoon was hetzelfde verhaal. Mijn gerecht was vegetarisch en weinig inspirerend. De entrecote was nog redelijk. De aardappelen waren smakeloos. De friet leek gebakken in oud frituurvet. Na dit aangegeven te hebben, zijn er wat drankjes van de rekening afgehaald en is het kindermenu er vanaf getrokken. Het was zo teleurstellend dat we zonder dessert zijn vertrokken. De bediening was heel aardig, maar zeer jong en onervaren. En toen moest de slechte nacht voor mijn moeder nog komen. De manager heeft ons, na het horen van het eten, een uur later laten uitchecken, maar dit kon lang niet alles compenseren. Het was zeer teleurstellend. Wij komen nooit meer terug. Gelukkig hebben we heerlijk gegeten bij een lokaal restaurant op vrijdagavond. Hier hebben wij een fijne herinnering aan.

Dit hotel ligt vrij rustig. De kamers Aan de achterkant is het heerlijk je hoort nix. Time schone kamers. Fijne badkamer. Mis alleen de privacy op het balkon. Een badjas en slippers zou ook fijn zijn. Eten is prima. Ontbijt ook. Meisje in het restaurant erg aardig. Oudere man kan er wat van leren knalt je borden zo op tafel erg nors....Zeer ruime keuze. Sauna en fitness erg klein. Er komt een zwembad aan dat is zeker een meerwaarde. Hopenlijk ook een ****** of bioscoop zoals bij andere vd Valk hotels want hier is savonds helemaal niets te doen. Erg jammer.

The hotel was very clean, and situated in a convenient place! I really began to appreciate the lengths that folks in The Netherlands go to to keep their business operations sustainable as well. Gorgeous town with lots of friendly people. I fell in love with the place. I would definitely go again, and choose this location to stay in. The view from my room was very pretty, as well.

Nice room, good bed. Style furnishing. Complete and delicious breakfast buffet. The private wellness you can book for 1 hour for 12.50 is a recommendation. Location of the hotel is very central, a good outlet for a city trip

The hotel location is great, right next to NHL Stenden University. I came back to attend the graduation ceremony. I just came to experience the hotel. There is free parking and no breakfast, but it should be good. I saw a breakfast buffet. Although the cheapest room was booked, the interior was surprisingly good, very comfortable and welcoming, and the price was very high. Free drinking water and chocolate in the room, as well as dried plums and nuts. Will book again!

My fiancee and I stayed here during a recent long weekend break in May. The hotel is situated in a great location a short walk (~15 mins) from the harbour / ferry from Harlingen. The rooms are comfortable and are all approximately the same size, the only disappointment for us was that we were at the end of the hotel building and didn't have such a good view as most of the other rooms. My advice would be to avoid rooms *18 -*30 as these are all in the block that is set back from the main building. The doors of the rooms seem to have been inspired by a 1970's school, with very bright photographs, which isn't really in keeping with a four star(?) hotel, but at least you can't see it when you are in your room. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay, the breakfast is served in the restaurant which has a wonderful view over the marina / harbour and town. The buffet offering is quite varied, with a good selection of cold cuts etc. The only disappointment were the eggs were somewhat rubbery as they appeared to have been over cooked before placing under the heat lamps? (I appreciate it is very difficult to maintain the quality of fried eggs on a buffet, so maybe the hotel might consider an egg station / chef cooking to order?) The staff were very helpful and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a three-person studio, a clean, spacious and recently renovated room with a small separate bedroom. The studio was clean and well equipped. The large bed was separated from the living and kitchen area by a very large TV, with a two-storey kitchenette, a combi oven, a refrigerator, a nespresso automatic and a sufficient inventory. The studio also featured a complete bathroom with indoor shower, bathroom, double washing table, furnace, separate toilet and a king balcony. We haven't used the pool, sauna and the restaurant. With a very pleasant stay, we would certainly come back once again.
