"Extremely close to JR Station and the bus terminal, making it a great stopover. The hotel room was quite spacious, with a small sofa and even a capsule coffee machine! We could walk to Fugan Canal Park, and since it was a weekend when we visited, there were evening performances and a musical fountain at the park, which was very lively."

"Mixed feeling about this … it’s a walk from the jr station in the center of the red light district, cheap accommodation, no big deal … but first room the WiFi signal was bad, staff was helpful and changed to another room, again later on the WiFi was not useable, surely the manager knows about it , was planning to stay extra nights but was not possible, next morning manager rely the apologies and room fee was refunded"

"Great location, just 1min walk away from Toyama Station on level 5 of the Maroot building . It’s a perfect base to move around the Tateyama region. The room is on the small side but adequate and well furnished. For tourists who need the iron & ironing board, there are 2 sets per floor that you can use. This is a lifesaver. I’ve had to deal with the trousers presser only at certain hotels, much to my dismay. This was a nice change."

"This was my first time trying a Japanese-style futon, and the room was huge! Our family of four slept together, which was a fun and bonding experience. The meals were fantastic and plentiful, especially the grilled salmon and cod, which my kids and I loved. Soaking in the hot spring while watching the snow fall was incredibly enjoyable. I was also very impressed by the warm and attentive service from the front desk lady. We had a wonderful and pleasant three-day stay!"

"Location: About a 15-minute walk from Toyama Station. There's a convenience store, the Daiwa department store, and the Toyama Prefectural Library (Glass Museum) nearby. Overall, it's very convenient. Cleanliness: First, you need to take off your shoes when you enter. The entire hotel's hallways and guest rooms are covered in tatami mats, which is a dream for those who love tatami. The bathroom floor is made of bamboo strips, which feels much better than tiles. Every morning, you can see staff meticulously cleaning the common areas, which was a great experience. (They don't clean your room during extended stays, so be aware if that's an issue for you.) Facilities: There's a public hot spring with a large pool and sauna (also open to day visitors, but closed for cleaning from 10 AM to 3 PM). If you don't like public baths, you can enjoy a private soak in the small wooden tub in your room anytime, which is fantastic – it's like getting a private onsen experience at an economy price. The ice cream, yogurt, and massage chairs on the second floor are also a huge plus. Dining: Since I stayed for several days, I booked a room without breakfast. If you decide you want breakfast on any given day, you can just go to the restaurant, swipe your card, and pay when you leave (2500 JPY per adult per meal). It's highly recommended if you love fresh seafood, offering Toyama's 'three treasures' (squid, white shrimp, and tiny rolls), as well as various sashimi and roe for you to create your own seafood bowl. Even for someone like me who doesn't eat much seafood, there were plenty of options like fried dishes, bread, and refreshing watermelon. Overall, I highly recommend this chain onsen hotel."

"Whenever I'm in Japan, Daiwa's chain hotels are my top pick. The location is super convenient, and the hotel is clean. This particular one is absolutely perfect for anyone heading to Tateyama Kurobe early in the morning via the Toyama Chihou Railway. We were incredibly lucky; the weather on Tateyama Kurobe was clear and sunny from morning until noon, and it only started to get cloudy on our way back in the afternoon. We even made it to Hell Valley and Raichosō. So fortunate!"

"The environment is serene, and the hotel staff are kind, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel also arranged a guide to show us around the local area and introduce special local flowers, which was a very interesting touch. The dinner arranged by the hotel was also good, but the breakfast buffet needs improvement, both in terms of taste and variety. The only downside was that the weather wasn't good that night, so we couldn't see the stars."

"Stayed two nights in Toyama, and Dormy Inn was my top choice. The basic amenities are pretty much the same as other locations, with all the standard toiletries, but the service really stood out. There was a ********* girl at the front desk. We arrived right as it started snowing heavily, and she not only checked us in but also offered us dry towels to wipe off – so thoughtful! We bumped into her a few more times, and she was always incredibly friendly, even recommending local sights and routes. The hotel breakfast was delicious, featuring all the Toyama specialties. And at night, the complimentary ramen even came with a perfectly soft-boiled egg; my husband polished off two bowls! The front desk also provides free tram tickets, two of them, which was super convenient. Late-night snacks included: lactic acid drink; cold drinks."

"The hotel is conveniently located, less than a 5-minute walk from Toyama Station. While the lobby feels luxurious, the hotel itself definitely shows its age. The elevators were quite slow, and unfortunately, there were urine stains under the toilet seat in the room, indicating a need for improved cleanliness and attention to detail. The room size was decent. Although there's a convenience store nearby, you do have to cross the street to get to it. Overall, the experience was just average, but considering the cheap price I paid, the value for money was acceptable."

"This is a really good stay. It has everything you need and the room is actually quite spacious. We had 2 large luggages and can be opened easily. Price is also very affordable with complimentary breakfast. The only downside was you’ll have to pay for parking. There’s a multistorey parking just right behind the hotel, no labels whatsoever. It is shared with TIMES parking (the only label at the parking’s entrance) - so it was very confusing. Staffs were not able to convey the parking location properly, probably due to the language barrier. Should have put up a hotel parking signboard there to avoid confusion."
