Crowne Plaza Zhangzhou Reviews

I had chosen Crowne Plaza as it is an international hotel. However, it was disappointing to some extent, especially the service. My reasons: - I was provided with towels that were unacceptable (see photographs). The big bath towel was so thin and torn. After I requested a change of towels, a towel provided was still torn. Again, I had to feedback and the more senior housekeeping staff came to hand me new towels and a plate of fruits. While I appreciate the gesture, more care should have gone into ensuring the quality of towels in the first place. - We saw two signs indicating 50% discount for laundry given the hotel's anniversary. When we enquired, we were told that the promotion had long ended. Upon further query on why they were not taken down, the front line staff said no one asked them to take down. When we left after two nights' stay, the laundry discount signs were still there. Misleading and disappointing guests, I don't understand what the hotel was trying to do. - As I was travelling with elderly parents, I had requested a handicapped room and a connecting room. Upon checked in, I was told that the connecting room was not available as there was occupancy. While I understand that not all requests could be accommodated, I had provided ample notice, i.e., the request was made at booking a few months ago. I did not have problems with other international hotels in China in this aspect and I wonder why not Crowne Plaza Zhangzhou. That said, I would like to thank the hotel staff who helped us with the vehicle booking and luggage.

The hotel it located in a very quiet place, enjoy stayed there.

I stayed in January. in the room was very cold. The air conditioning can't be used for heating. The first day was as cold as 17 degrees C. second day, I asked, and the hotel provided a portable heater. After that, was ok.

The hotel is very spacious and clean, luxurious, comfortable, and has a rich breakfast. Very good

It was most unusual that we had to pay in advance CNY1,000 when we checked in for only 1 night. Our room rate was CNY427. The following morning when we checked out, the CNY1,000 was refunded immediately and then we paid the actual bill. The lobby, elevator and room were clean and nice. Huge bathtub, spacious room. As our group of 8 checked in late, we had buffet dinner in the hotel. Most of the food dishes were almost empty but the staff were helpful in specially preparing dishes for us. The seafood was fresh but the steak and the other meat dishes of pork, chicken, etc were tough and inedible.

Great location and helpful staff. Rooms were very good sized, comfortable and highly recommend.

In general, it was a terrible experience. When we arrived at the hotel, it was very late and the staff turned a blind eye to us and didn't open the door for us to pick up the luggages. The lobby was very noisy and the air con was not turned on at night, so it was very humid. The next morning at 9:30, we went to breakfast, we wanted to take away, the staff would not let us and had to ask the manager, although we finally packed breakfast, but the process was quite unpleasant. My friend ordered delivery , which was not delivered by the hotel staff or robot, so we had to pick it up ourselves. To sum up, the service consciousness of the whole management team is very bad, there is no international five-star standard, from beginning to end, it reveals the feeling of the old state-owned hotel in the 1980s.

Good location. Nice enough. Nothing special but nothing bad, either. Restaurant downstairs looked great but didn't have a chance to try it.

food is great. a lot of choices. Located in the city center near wanda mall

I have stayed in few Crowne Plaza hotels before and I noticed there are always mega construction projects beside the hotel. Pray that guest won’t be impacted by the loud construction noise in the morning. This hotel is well furnished but it is getting OLD and the nearest mall or small restaurants eateries are FAR away. . Great front desk staff and toiletries.

Nice and clean rooms as expected of an IHG Crowne Plaza, no surprises there. Friendly staff. Wished there were more to see/eat within walking distance. We had to ride the taxi to everywhere we wanted to go.

Overall, was a good stay

Modern facility outside and inside, even have free gym, very good
