This guesthouse is a beautiful Huizhou-style mansion. The courtyard is stunningly decorated, and the rooms are wonderfully quiet. The owner even provides pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot. Its location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for dining out and sightseeing. What's more, you can also enjoy meals right here at the guesthouse. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay. Xidi, in my opinion, is the most worthwhile ancient town I've visited in years, and this guesthouse is perfect for a comfortable multi-day stay.

The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. You can truly feel the thought and effort they put into running this guesthouse, from the excellent service to the meticulous design and amenities. The owner is also an amazing cook; almost every dish on the menu was a hit! Their signature 'stinky' mandarin fish is personally cured by the owner and is distinctly different from what you'd find elsewhere – much less pungent and far more flavorful. Choosing to stay here made our entire trip to Xidi absolutely perfect. We definitely hope to come back for a longer, more relaxing stay.

The hotel's setting was absolutely breathtaking. We happened to be there during a heavy downpour, and sitting in the courtyard's gazebo, soaking in the unique charm of Jiangnan's rain, created a truly enchanting scene. The owners were incredibly warm and hospitable, and remarkably capable, maintaining the hotel's interiors and exteriors to perfection. Every corner clearly reflected their meticulous care and dedication. The surrounding area is wonderful, ideal for peaceful strolls. This slow pace, combined with the exquisitely designed courtyard, makes it a perfect escape from the urban hustle and bustle. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Facilities: The in-room facilities are all brand new and kept very clean and tidy. The owner maintains the courtyard beautifully. Hygiene: Someone cleans and disinfects the rooms every day, which made me feel completely at ease during my stay. Environment: When I first booked, I was quite concerned about false advertising – perhaps the environment wouldn't be good or the photos wouldn't match reality – so I only booked one night. However, upon arrival, I was wonderfully surprised! I immediately decided to extend my stay for a second night! It's a shame my travel plans were tight and I could only stay two nights; I truly wished I could have stayed longer! It's incredibly comfortable, and I hope to come back for a few days every year if I get the chance! Service: The B&B is run by the owner couple themselves, creating a very comfortable and homely atmosphere. After parking at lot #7, the owner will come pick you up in a shuttle. They also have a quiet dog named 'Laifu'~~ The owner likely cooks as well, but unfortunately, I didn't get to try their food this time! I definitely want to taste their cooking on my next visit! I forgot to take photos of the B&B 📷~~ So I can only post some pictures of Xidi Ancient Village, but staying here was truly wonderful~~

Great location – not directly in Xidi's main area, making it wonderfully peaceful. The courtyard is beautiful, home to little fish, a lovely dog named Laifu, and a playful cat that can even climb the roof beams! We stayed on the second floor and had a fantastic view of the distinct Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. The interior decor was beautifully done and incredibly comfortable. A big thank you to the guesthouse hosts, who were incredibly welcoming and warm. Definitely plan to return!

From Huangshan, we looked into nearby places to visit and decided to head straight to Xidi after a quick search, bypassing Hongcun. Upon arrival, the B&B owner provided convenient pick-up and drop-off service (even dropping us off at Yixian East Station when we departed). We also had the delightful company of Laifu, a lovely dog. Our room was impeccably clean and well-equipped, and the owner even prepared a fresh breakfast for us. The biggest highlight, without a doubt, was the owner themselves. Beyond that, the house's architecture and the beautifully designed small courtyard created a truly serene and picturesque setting. It was perfect for enjoying tea, feeding the fish, or simply unwinding and daydreaming. Highly recommended!

Our room was clean, and from the second-floor window, we enjoyed views of traditional Huizhou-style rooftops. The owner's small courtyard is beautifully maintained. We had dinner there, and with the gentle breeze, the sound of rain, and sipping tea, it was truly idyllic. The Stinky Mandarin Fish with tofu and local wild vegetables prepared by the owner were all incredibly delicious!

The rooms themselves are a perfect blend of elegance and modern comfort, equipped with amenities like a Dyson hairdryer, a smart toilet, and a Xiaomi projector screen TV. This is absolutely a top-tier B&B. A highlight was even being able to photograph the Milky Way from the courtyard at night!

It's genuinely rare for me to go out of my way to write a good review. Most of the time, I just let positive or negative feedback happen organically. But for this place, I absolutely *must* give it my highest recommendation! The owners are an incredibly kind couple, the service is exceptionally warm and welcoming, the breakfast is delicious, and the property has been beautifully upgraded – it's chic, upscale, and sophisticated. Honestly, I loved Fangyuan even more than Xidi itself! 😄 Plus, there's Laifu, the adorable dog who brings good luck (and seemingly, good reviews)! 🐶 And they even saw us off when we left! 😄

Excellent location, right within the scenic area. The couple running the place are incredibly warm and welcoming. The courtyard features a charming miniature bridge over flowing water and a lotus pond, creating an ancient and tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are well-equipped, and the furnishings are simple yet aesthetically pleasing. For breakfast, they offer noodles and steamed buns; just let the owner know when you're ready. Complimentary snacks and fruit are also provided. The small courtyard allows for convenient clothes washing and drying. All in all, it truly feels like a home away from home. On a side note, Xidi Scenic Area is larger than Chengkan and has more to explore. It's also less crowded, which adds to its leisurely and tranquil ancient village charm, and the entrance fee is comparatively cheaper.

A truly charming guesthouse! It was clean and comfortable, and the host was incredibly welcoming, even providing convenient pick-up and drop-off service. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious. Our kids absolutely adored the guesthouse's courtyard, where they enjoyed feeding the fish and trying out calligraphy. Our room was equipped with a tea set and a cozy tatami area, making it ideal for relaxing with a cup of tea and a movie during the hot afternoons. This was, by far, the place our children were most reluctant to leave in Xidi.

On our self-driving tour of southern Anhui with our parents, visiting Huizhou Ancient City, the foot of Huangshan Mountain, Hongcun, Xidi, and the Xin'an River Landscape Gallery, Mosangju was by far the most stunning, comfortable, and truly exceeded our expectations for a guesthouse. It's evident from every detail how much heart the owner couple pours into running it, allowing us to rediscover the beauty of traditional Chinese homes. The owner's cooking was also incredibly impressive – the local free-range chicken soup was exceptionally flavorful, and the stir-fried wild vegetables with dried tofu were extraordinarily delicious; we practically cleaned our plates! And the service was simply unparalleled – the proprietress personally picked us up from the parking lot upon arrival and dropped us off again when we departed. We truly felt like cherished guests. This is such a wonderful place; we definitely plan to return and stay longer next time to truly experience the slow pace of life and the charm of Xidi Village.

This guesthouse, nestled within a scenic attraction, comes highly recommended. The building itself is an authentic Ming and Qing dynasty structure, lovingly operated by a couple. The husband personally oversaw the renovation and redesign of its layout. He thoughtfully opted against maximizing guest rooms for profit (there are only 8 rooms), instead dedicating more space to functional areas like courtyards, lounging zones, and scenic viewpoints. There's even a laundry room and a drying area. This allows guests to relax and enjoy the scenery after a day of exploring, and even without stepping out, one can soak in the beauty of Xidi Ancient Village and its distinctive Huizhou-style architecture. It makes for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms also feature exceptional attention to detail. Each room boasts a unique design (we were two families and booked three rooms, all imbued with a wonderful Zen aesthetic). But what truly stood out was their impeccable cleanliness – the kind where you're asked to change into special slippers before entering your guest room or heading upstairs. We will definitely visit again!

The view from the room was breathtaking; I was immediately drawn in upon entering. The pleasant aroma throughout the house was delightful. The interior decor was rustic yet elegant, and all facilities were new and spotlessly clean. The owner mentioned it was a renovated old house. The courtyard was beautifully arranged, and my child loved it so much they didn't want to leave. For dinner, we tasted the owner's specialties like 'Stinky Mandarin Fish' and stir-fried pork with dried bamboo shoots, which were a true feast for the senses. We'll definitely come back for a longer stay next time!
