"Facilities: I'd say they're decent. The elevator is a nice touch, the AC gets quite cold, and the hot water is good too. Hygiene: The cleanliness is acceptable, quite good for a guesthouse, and they even provide disposable bath towels which is a thoughtful touch. Environment: It's located in the Anshang Service Area, which is the closest to Yuntai Mountain. You can walk to the Yuntai Mountain scenic area, which I highly recommend. There are tons of places to eat and shop. Service: The front desk guy was really enthusiastic and patient. He thoughtfully upgraded one of our rooms so our two rooms could be next to each other, which was a huge plus. It might not be the absolute best guesthouse, but I definitely think it's worth recommending for a stay."

"Grandpa Niu's yard was full of surprises, and the peaceful and serene Da Nanpo shattered our stereotypical image of the countryside. Here, the children experienced stone-grinding soy milk, badge making, and even picking fresh walnuts; Aunt Niu's pancakes were so delicious 😋 The drinks at the village bookstore were great, and the supply and marketing cooperative even had small handicrafts consigned by villagers 💗 In short, it's a hidden paradise that I would highly recommend and return to 🥰"

"The suite I stayed in was very good overall. The mountain view was probably the best hotel in the shore service area. The public area outside was also very large, where you could have a barbecue and listen to music. Overall it was very good, with no shortcomings or flaws. The hotel also provided pick-up and drop-off at the visitor center."

Yuntaishan Shanwan Homestay (Anshang Service Area)
"Honestly, I was quite shocked when I arrived. The exterior was like a small pub, while the interior was a touch of luxury, perfect for taking photos. There was also a big golden retriever that wouldn't bite and you could pet it freely. The owner was beautiful and welcoming, and the breakfast was similar to what you'd get at home (although I found it a bit sour). Overall, I highly recommend it. I had booked another hotel, and then I forgot when I got a room notification, but when I saw there were rooms available, I immediately changed my booking to Shanwan. The guesthouses on the shore are all about the same distance apart, concentrated in one area, so distance isn't an issue, but you should book in advance. I was lucky to book Shanwan."

"The room I was in had a Greek theme, bright and lovely and with a large balcony. When I stayed the hotel seemed very quiet, and it had lovely views towards the mountains. It is a bit of a distance from the *main tourist entrance* to Yuntaishan, but close to some of villages on the mountain itself. I didn't easily see restaurants nearby. Foreigners are welcome at this hotel, just be prepared: they asked for a quite a few details during check in, such as the license plate number of the taxi I arrived in. But those are just extra questions, there was no further bother after that 😊"

"The location is amazing! It's right in the heart of the Yuntaishan Shore Service Area, close to the scenic area bus stop, making it super convenient for going up and down the mountain. You can even go back to your guesthouse for a rest at noon. There's a food street right outside, so you can have everything you need for eating, drinking, and shopping in one place. There's also dedicated parking for those driving, ensuring a worry-free trip. Highly recommended!"

"The room was surprisingly spacious, especially the double room I booked for my colleague. It had a large corner window with a view of the Taihang Mountains in the distance. The room was well-equipped, with an electric water dispenser providing purified water, which is rare in guesthouses. Towels and bath towels were disposable, but you can request regular ones. The lobby on the first floor offered complimentary milk tea, milk, and other drinks, and there was a refrigerator and microwave for food preparation. The owner even had a car wash machine and could wash your car for free, which was a first for me."

"The room is fully equipped with everything, the boss is hospitable and the service is thoughtful! Great! Sitting by the French window, you can see the Buddha statue of Wanshan Temple halfway up the mountain. Sitting on the rocking chair on the balcony, you can see the mountain view without any obstruction, as if you are in a painting. I closed my eyes quietly and listened to the bells from the temple, and my heart calmed down instantly. The scenery at night is so beautiful that I can't describe it, which makes me intoxicated! A very stylish homestay, which is the feeling I like, and I will patronize it again!"
