Great location and facilities for Winter skiing chalet. Highly recommended.

The Fairmont Whistler is a very nice property and super central. However, we felt that it was generally over-priced and they pushed the limit the whole time there on the various non-room charges. C$50 resort fee. C$50 per night for parking. C$200 for buffet breakfast for 4. The cost of our stay easily doubled. On top of that, they seem to lack the capacity to service all of their guests. Breakfast lines were very long and we waited 45 minutes for our valet. On top of this, our rooms were not ready at 4pm per their guarantee and, once we received the keys, they didn't work. Lines at the front desk were super long as well. We have stayed at the Four Seasons Whistler as well and will return there next time. The guest experience there is much better.

Some towels need to be replaced! The in-room dining could be faster, takes a long time! Other services are excellent, the room is clean and the bed is wonderful!

It is a classic hotel, standard and everything is just right. The room decoration style is old-fashioned, not modern and stylish. The outdoor SPA and sauna in winter are great. The hotel is beautifully decorated during the Christmas season, like a fairy tale world, with concerts and Santa Claus. Of course, the room rate is also high. It is not reasonable to charge an additional 50 Canadian dollars per day for the experience fee. Some simple activities organized by the hotel, such as yoga, hiking, and visiting museums, have to be paid whether you participate or not. Note that you should give a tip to the room.

Overall it's good, but the facilities are a bit old and broken

The front desk service is not good. I booked a room on Trip.com, but she charged the room price for that night. I called her to ask why, but she didn't refund the full amount. She said that each person had to pay the difference of $58 Canadian dollars. Finally, I had to write Email, the group booking will receive a full refund. The front desk always blames the computer system for an error, but in my opinion, it was the front desk clerk who made the mistake. The shower head in the bathroom was broken and the view from my room was terrible. Maybe the peak summer season affects service.

I'm really speechless at the hotel. The check-in experience was very poor. There were no bathrobes and slippers in the room when I checked in. I asked the bellman and he said they would bring them right away. But they didn't come after half an hour. I called the front desk and they said they would bring them right away. I waited for a long time. Before the hour came, I met the room service in the corridor and asked her for some. She said that she would start a work order immediately and have someone deliver it. She obviously had a cleaning truck with bathrobes and slippers on hand, but she didn't give them to me. Then waited two hours. Still didn't get it, so I had to go to the front desk and ask for it myself. The service is really bad! Going to bed at night and finding blood stains on the sheets was so disgusting. I complained to the front desk in the middle of the night and asked to change rooms. The front desk said that no rooms were fully booked. Then they arranged for the guest room to change the sheets, and three service staff entered the room without knocking and swiped their cards and rushed into the room. Really speechless. The trash left by others on the table in the common area was not picked up and there was a layer of dust everywhere. When I wanted to drink coffee the next morning, I discovered that there was a lipstick mark from the previous customer on the cup. The price of a five-star hotel was more expensive than that of Four Seasons. Even with this kind of service, I was really speechless. Everyone, avoid the trap. It immediately changed to four seasons the next day. Fairmont’s expensive rooms are half the size of Four Seasons. Service facilities are also very poor. Very bad experience. Will never come again!

The environment is very good, the room is large and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is a bit old, but there is no odor.

The room size is very large. The two Queen beds can sleep four people without any problem. In fact, four bathrobes are provided in the room. The restaurant's steaks and soups are made on the spot in front of the table and are very delicious. October is the off-season, and a four-course set meal only costs 60 Canadian dollars. The hotel facilities are very complete, and it should be a five-star standard for such a remote mountain.
