Wonderful central location with the friendly stuff, best offer, will stay again

Staff doesn’t speak English so if you don’t speak Spanish, you can use Google translate in your phone to communicate with them. There are two shared bathrooms. They have a pantry (free to use anytime but limited space) with free cold drinking water from water dispenser, hot water in an electric kettle, instant coffee and tea. Plates and mugs can be used too. They will knock on your door if you are making noises after midnight. Tax to be collected at the property can be paid using card. They are located in 1st floor and there is also small lift just for the luggages. Reception is 24/7 so we were able to check out early and leave our luggages which were stored in a closed room near the reception. Location is walking distance near Poble Sec metro station. The street of the hotel is being reconstructed so you can only walk on the sidewalks. Our room was just right outside the shared bathroom so it was really accessible. Felt safe as the receptionist is just there 24/7. Need to press Elkano doorbell to enter the building. Room was spacious for us 3 compared to the other Triple Room we booked during our Europe trip. This was the cheapest stay available during our dates and have mixed reviews. This was a good deal.

This is a very nice experience. The room has single bathroom, but I know it is not all rooms have single bathroom. I don’t have communication problems with the reception. This hotel is near the metro. Low price with high quality!

The staff were helpful and welcoming. It is a bit old and cramped, but that’s reasonable for the price. The location is a bit outside the city centre, but there is a 5 mins walk metro station near, which is good. Overall, it was a very good stay!

Location, room and hostal opportunities was very good but unfortunately the voice insulation was terrible. All the other peoples speaking and movement are like in your room so u can sleep well.

Heater doesn’t work. There’s no water at all for one night. Wi-Fi connection is very unstable and poor. Staff doesn’t understand English.

Pleasantly surprised by hostel elkano, friendly staff, 24h assistance, we had no problems whatsoever. Convenient for those who want to spend a quiet weekend

It was close to the metro station so it may be easy to access. However, the toilets and showers are shared so they can be dirty depending on the time of day.

The room is very small, the sound insulation effect is very poor, the facilities are not complete, and the sanitary condition is also very worrying

It was close to the station and convenient. It was nice that there was a microwave and a refrigerator. Unfortunately the walls were too thin and you could hear everything from other rooms.

Walls very thin, difficult for someone who is a light sleeper, otherwise ok.

Although the hostal is well located, the facilities leave a lot to be desired. The hostal is located on the first floor of an old building, where the original apartments have been adapted and each room transformed into rooms. This way there is no soundproofing, the building's stairs as well as the elevator are in the corridor leading to the rooms and in the rooms you can even hear the building's entrance door. The reception is literally in the middle of the rooms. The place has a fridge and a common microwave, which we only discovered later because no one informed us. As a positive point, we highlight the room's private bathroom, especially the shower.
