"We were here for a short holiday with our dog. The room was beautiful and everything was very clean. The dog was allowed everywhere. There was a rich breakfast buffet that didn't leave any wishes open. So even salmon and delicious croissants. Parking costs €5 per day which is very cheap. Dinner was always very good and the service was fast and attentive. We can't understand bad reviews for the kitchen at all. No matter what we tried, it was all delicious. We are in the morning with the brockenbahn, which holds high on the brocken directly opposite and then walked down to the hotel again. A wonderful excursion Thanks to the herbal garden for the beautiful stay"

"Great location in Wernegerode, super starting base for a harsh holiday. Clean, properly liked again :-) Very very friendly and premature. Super breakfast and everything delicious. Parking and playground everything in front of the door. Grilling super."

"Visited the Hatz mountains with the Northants Morris minor owners club and part of the trip took us to the restaurant of this hotel. There were 17 of us 2 with food allergies. All food choices were made weeks in advance so the staff should have been well prepared. Upon our arrival we had drinks and sat on one long table. After an hour no food had been served. Complaints to the staff appeared to fall on deaf ears. We were adjacent to the main restaurant seating are and could clearly see people who had arrived after us being served but again complaints fell on deaf ears. When the food finally arrived it was cold for most if not all of us. 2 of the party who had the food allergies later became ill. Service was rubbish no snacks were offered to appease us and certainly no apology. They did however find the time to offer us drinks at our cost no complimentary drinks or drinks at reduced cost were offered. The impression i got was that we were English and treated as second class citizens a feeling felt throughout that region from some of the locals. I had served in the forces in Osnabruck Germany and generally found the locals friendly if you try and meet them half way but here i found some rude even though i tried to exercise my limited German. Overall a very poor account all round and for those of us who were visiting Germany for the first time it left a poor impression."

"We had a bean in the room. The boss pointed us to be here on the countryside and the problem is known for a long time. There we had luck again, there are also leaves and leafs on the countryside. The rooms are awaiting. The staff is very friendly and premature. At breakfast buffet everything you need is available. But according to my taste, the breads were just baked and no baker breads. The night buffet is not worth €28.50, but from the taste it's okay. Unfortunately, the second restaurant is closed on the site because of disease. In short there is for the boss, not for the staff."
