Hotel Sporting ★★★★

"Quite easily THE BEST hotel we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. Phenomenal cliff-face location with magnificent panoramic views of the sea, Marina Seiano, Bay of Napoli, the gulf and Mount Vesuvius. We stayed for 6 breathtaking nights in a full sea view room and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with Hotel Sporting. The service here is absolutely outstanding and the staff will do anything in their power to ensure your stay is both memorable and comfortable. Although the hotel is a four star, it could quite easily pass as a 5 star as it is set in a gorgeous location and boasts a stunning private part-shingle, part-sand beach. Rooms and hotel grounds are cleaned to an exceptional standard every day - you won’t find a cobweb in sight! The rooms themselves are well equipped and tastefully decorated in light pastel blues and creams. In your room you will find a minibar, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, safe, telephone and bath/shower. We would definitely recommend the sea view rooms if you want something magically romantic and charming. We dined at the hotel restaurant several times (Di Sole Di Luna) and were made to feel like absolute Queens. The waiters were both friendly and attentive, and the food was simply out of this world. Fresh, flavoursome and well presented. We would highly recommend the Tuna bresaola with Orange gel, marinated Salmon with caramelized Onions and definitely the black spaghetti pasta. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a splendidly and genuine varied menu. The hotel is approx a 7-10 minute walk to Vico Equense station, which takes you directly to Sorrento one way or Naples the other direction. Across the road is a quaint but beautiful little family-run pottery shop called Vitale which sells a vast array of colourful pots, vases, cups, crockery and several other nik naks. A stones throw from the hotel is the beautiful church, Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata, and down the road from the hotel there is a luxurious Michelin star restaurant. The local Piazza Umberto is very cute, with its pretty fountain and scores of local shops, bars and restaurants. Be sure to visit Gelateria Gabriele for its sumptuous selection of gelato, cakes and pastries and if you’re craving a decent pizza, we would highly recommend the Metro pizza house who cater delightfully for all tastes (including gluten free!). We’d like to pass on our eternal thanks and gratitude to Armando and his fantastic team of staff for making our stay at Hotel Sporting a special one. This paradise on Earth was like our second home and hopefully one day we will return. THANK YOU x"

"The room was spacious, the hotel breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the service was warm and welcoming! The hotel's location was also excellent, perfect for walking to the town of Vikêcuçé, and not far from Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi by car! The hotel's complimentary valet parking service was prompt and attentive, making our daily outings enjoyable! This is a warm and welcoming resort hotel, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit the Amalfi Coast! 👍"

"We had a fantastic holiday at Eden Bleu. The staff were very helpful with arranging trips and advising on transport. The breakfast was delicious and the service excellent. The rooms were comfortable with balconies, fridges and extra bedding. The rooftop bar had great views of the marina and Vesuvius. All in all we couldn’t fault it. Marina D’Aequa is a small fishing village popular with Italians at the weekends. It’s not too touristy and has a good selection of restaurants. Having a car would have been an advantage but the local bus takes less than 10 mins to get into Vico Equense proper, where you can get trains to Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples."

"Loved, loved, loved our stay! The hotel is a nice distance from Naples and is close to many sights - Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi, Sorrento etc. Super easy to manoeuvre between these and the hotel also has a shuttle bus. Breakfast was AMAZING! The staff, wonderful. Cocktails after dark - gorgeous! Views are stunning! Pool was lovely and very much needed in the heat. Room was great - superb shower and everything you need. Choice of restaurants on site - we only visited the pizzeria - it was lovely, but staff were very very rude - so much that other diners even commented on her attitude. Gorgeous stay - would definitely go again!"

"Spacious, modern, well-presented and equipped and convenient apartment about 7 minutes from Vico Equense rail station and just 1-2 minutes from supermarket, greengrocer, and with a handy bread shop just opposite. Restaurants under 5 minutes away. A little disconcerting on first arrival as there is no free access entrance, just an intercom on the wall which, in our case, was not answered first time. It may be beneficial to contact the owners with a clear arrival time if you have one. After this, various key codes were provided and access was then straight-forward. Also thought the price point was a little high, certainly compared to our comparable accommodation in Naples and Rome but maybe it is the going rate for the Sorrento/Amalfi area. We had a very enjoyable stay."

"Pre visit great service, very responsive on What’s app. 24h desk across 8 rooms makes everything easy. Great travel advice and always extremely welcoming. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. It is in the centre of the harbour area so that brings accessibility but also some noise, this is not off the beaten track. We loved the location and sea view, end if the day there was a lot of people drinking to the beach but we were already there The beach club is excellent and having rooms means loungers, parasols and access is all included."

"The room was very clean. It's a standard business hotel, but also suitable for families. The breakfast was excellent at €15 per person. If you're traveling by car, this hotel is perfect because it's not in the city center, but only a 15-minute drive away. I would book this hotel again if I had the chance."
