The Cambie Hostel Seymour Reviews

Very convenient location if your sim is to be right in the city center. The two subway train lines are within a couple of minutes walk ,as is the main high street. The Canada line provides a direct route to the train station (tip: buy a day ticket and it will cost less that the ticket to cross zones plus the additional airport surcharge). The Canada line is so convenient that if you did not care about being in the city center then staying somewhere else along the line further out may be cheaper. Hostel was clean and well organized. There is a strict no eating in the room policy, though there are kitchen facilities to be used. Hire a towel. Rooms and front entrance has key card access. Room has no Aircon so can be warm, though there is a small electric fan. The room with two beds has bunk bed, cages under the bed and a stool….that is it. There are no privacy curtains, individual dockets or lights for each bed, only the main room light so make sure you have a touch/light, though as the curtains do not block all street light the room feels as it has a nightlight on and does not ever get really dark. I stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Sunday was quiet , though the hostel is above a bar and do Saturday had music playing for many hours while trying to get to sleep not the place for light sleepers.

Location is very close to Waterfront station and the room is big enough for single traveler , tiny but cozy Front desk staff is nice during check in and check out !

The hostel is in the perfect location, everything is nearby, SkyTrain station, convenient store, restaurants and shopping centre.

The room was not cleaned and the condition was completely different with one i saw in the photos that the host posted.

Still too noisy, the street outside will never be quiet. Unless you alway sleep like a baby.

The most unfriendly staff I've ever met. Because of my accent, I couldn't understand them, so they singled me out and asked if I'd read the instructions, then frowned arrogantly. There was no fan in the room, only a radiator heater, and only two outlets opposite the bed. I figured it was normal for there to be no towels or toiletries, but I didn't expect the facilities to be this poor. Since I'm traveling anyway, I hope I pay more for a better place to stay.

Everything was fine, except for the lack of air conditioning and stairs. You might wake up to the sound of seagulls crying in the early morning.

The room was dirty, smelly and the sheets were worn out. I couldn't stand it so I cancelled the stay, but I wasn't given a refund.
