Stayed at Sunshine Bay · Westside Homestay and had a fantastic experience. The room was spotless and quiet, the location is convenient for transit and the host was very warm, very responsive, and very helpful. Great value—would definitely stay again!

Perfect place to stat

It takes about 40 minutes by bus to get to downtown, but the bus stop is nearby, there are frequent buses, and you can check delays on Google Maps, so it wasn't an inconvenience. It was raining on the day of check-in, so the host contacted me to ask if they would pick me up at the station. My room key was broken, so I mentioned that and they replaced the entire doorknob for me. The host was very friendly. I'd love to stay here again if I visit Vancouver again.

The owners were very kind. The room was spacious and clean. There was also a laundry room, so I used it before returning home. There was no lock on the bathroom, so I left my slippers in front of the door to let people know I was using it.

All basic amenities are available, and both private and shared spaces are comfortable for reading and working. Recommended for solo travelers or those traveling with friends.
