"These are basic, bare, small rooms with the amenities of a bar of soap and liquid shower soap, suitable for a one-night stop. I was concerned about the noise of an extended family gathering in the courtyard outside our room, but the door sealed well, so no problem. The owners were kind enough to lend an electric kettle, but can be quite strict. You absolutely must not show up before 4 p.m., which we didn't discover until after we booked and prepaid. We would have stayed elsewhere if we knew. The neighbourhood is quite suburban and rather dreary for walking to town. If you have a car, I recommend parking halfway, at the cemetery, and then walking along pleasant lanes into the old city."

"The hotel itself was very beautiful but my room, and from what I heard from other guests, they’re room was also gross with bugs everywhere. When we told the front desk there was an issue they grabbed bug spray and swept up the bugs we killed beforehand then they left us. Since there were so many bugs we needed a mop to clean them all. So the front desk cleaned one room and when me and my roommates told her there were bugs in the bathroom, shower room, and second bedroom she looked at us and said “No” and left. The first night when we ordered food; chicken wings, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, and a salad and most of it was cold in the center. The next day we went to the pool and it was dirty with dead bugs, leaves, and had no lifeguard."

And of course, delightful hosts. Uzes is definitely worth visiting, and the Hostellerie Provencale is centrally located and very quiet."

"I don't understand this hotel's rating. First, when we arrived we were told our room was not ready. No apology, just a statement. We had to wait. Second, the breakfast was poor and the coffee terrible. Finally, it was very noisy at night with people slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallway."

"What a wonderful b&b! We oved our week at La Maison Rouge. Fabienne is the perfect host – charming, helpful, always around, but never intrusive. And La Maison Rouge was the perfect accommodation, meeting our needs for peace and tranquility, space (the suite with garden & park view was well worth it), proximity to parking and to the old town and its cafes, restaurants and historical sights, and a garden and swimming pool in which to cool off after a long day. It was so lovely to wake in the morning to the sound of doves cooing and to go down to breakfast (delicious!) in the garden. For us, La Maison Rouge was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful old town of Uzes and the surrounding Occitanie countryside. "

"Great "inn", beautifully restored old silk worm factory from 1800's. The female manager is terrific. She speaks English and has thought of everything to make us comfortable. Her breakfast is full of homemade and local items, and the birds are happily singing on the large grounds. Swimming pool, too!"
