Best Urayasu Hotels

"This hotel, part of the Royal Park group, just opened this year. The lobby and rooms clearly show a well-thought-out concept, and the atmosphere, designed with Tokyo Disney Resort visitors in mind, is fantastic. I generally enjoyed my stay as expected, but I'd like to share a few points for future improvement. (1) Shuttle bus to the park and Maihama Station: The bus was far more crowded than I anticipated. With limited capacity and infrequent service (only 2-3 buses per hour), missing one means waiting about 30 minutes for the next. This would be miserable on a rainy day after leaving the park. I understand it would increase costs, but since the hotel is so close to both the park and Maihama Station, abolishing the timetable and having a continuous loop, similar to airport terminal shuttles, would significantly improve the experience. (2) Breakfast restaurant COMPASS on the 2nd floor: I was really looking forward to this, as it received high praise online and from YouTubers, but my overall impression was just 'okay'. Again, I know it would cost more, but in addition to the delicious hamburgers, the kitchen really needs a classic egg station. The coffee quality was a bit disappointing, tasting somewhat instant. I'm not asking for Southeast Asian standards, but the variety of fruits was far too limited. On the soft skills side, I noticed a stark difference in hospitality between the experienced Japanese staff and the foreign staff, who seemed to have limited work experience. The latter showed no smiles, were unfriendly, and didn't seem to actively support guests, appearing to be solely focused on their main task of clearing finished dishes. Please train them in the basics of customer service to develop them into top-tier hotel professionals. Working with such a lack of enthusiasm, even worse than a student part-timer, negatively impacts the entire restaurant's atmosphere. Of course, there are many wonderful staff, especially among the female employees, and I hope the newer staff can learn from these excellent role models. Despite my harsh feedback, the breads, dim sum, and miniature chirashi bowls were all very delicious."

"My stay at the Hilton Tokyo Bay had both its ups and downs. The biggest highlight was definitely the ocean view. Opting for a sea-view room gave me direct access to the expansive Tokyo Bay, offering stunning blue waters by day, breathtaking sunsets in the evening, and a fantastic nighttime ambiance. The scenic experience was truly outstanding. The location is a major plus, being right next to the Disney Resort. There's a free shuttle bus service to and from the parks and the train station, making transportation and sightseeing incredibly convenient. The surrounding amenities are also excellent, with easy access to shops and dining. However, the service aspect had noticeable shortcomings. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were rather inefficient, and the staff's attitude felt very process-driven, lacking proactive and attentive service. Overall, the service experience was just average. Other aspects, like room cleaning and basic facility maintenance, were acceptable with no significant issues. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel to travelers who prioritize ocean views and convenient access. If you have high expectations for front desk service, you might want to consider this more carefully."

"My family and I chose to stay at this hotel because of its location and free shuttle to DisneySea. The hotel has a dated resort feel but generally well maintained and clean. The room is small but that was expected when I made the booking so I was prepared to accept the tight space. However, the two super single beds were pleasantly comfortable and big and the shower stall, although tight, has a good water pressure. Good shuttle service to DisneySea and Disneyland. Also enjoyed the free snacks and drinks provided by the hotel for its guests and the good range of personal care products and tea bags and coffee which guests can help themselves to."

"This was my second time staying at this hotel, and it’s still very clean and spacious. Even though there’s a shuttle bus from Bayside Station, the walk is only about five minutes, super convenient and quick. I also love that the room has a balcony with a slight view of both Disneyland and DisneySea. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo for Disney Resort. Highly recommend this hotel! P.S. Their breakfast is excellent, definitely worth getting."

"We stayed here the night before our Disney trip. The location was absolutely unbeatable! We arrived at the hotel within seconds of exiting the station. Getting up early for park opening was a breeze with such close proximity. I was also impressed by the amenities – 'Are all these really free?' I wondered. The items for foot fatigue relief were a true lifesaver! I was most concerned about the train noise, but it wasn't an issue at all. I completely forgot we were under an elevated track; I barely even heard people talking. It might even be quieter than other hotels. The room itself is compact, so if you have two large suitcases, you might find it a bit tight to open them up. I'd recommend bringing duffel bags instead. However, the spacious bathroom and large refrigerator were definite pluses! Having a humidifier was also a great bonus. I would love to stay here again!"

"Our stay at Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel was honestly such a relaxing and memorable part of our Japan trip. The hotel itself feels spacious and luxurious without being intimidating, and the location is perfect especially if you’re visiting Tokyo Disney Resort. Getting to the parks was super convenient through the Disney Resort Line, and coming back to a comfortable hotel after a long day at Disney was the best feeling. The rooms were clean, cozy, and surprisingly spacious compared to most hotels in Japan. We also loved the view — waking up and seeing either the bay or the Disney area made the experience extra special. The beds were comfortable, and the amenities were complete, which made the stay very hassle-free. What stood out the most was the service. The staff were very polite, accommodating, and organized, which made check-in and everything else smooth despite the number of guests staying there. If there’s one downside, it would probably be that the hotel can get busy, especially during peak Disney seasons, and some areas already show a bit of age. Its a little bit old as well. Bath tubs kinda rusty. The smell is kinda old. But overall, the comfort, service, and convenience easily outweighed that. Would definitely stay here again, especially for a Disney trip. It made the whole experience more comfortable and enjoyable."

"Great location for people like us that are going to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea. Although there is free transport to the park, it starts late. And if you want to get to the park before it opens, use the local bus. The bus stop is 5 min walk away."

"Highly recommend! This was probably the most spacious room I stayed in during my trip to Japan. The location is super convenient; you can just walk through a connected pathway from the subway station straight to the hotel. There's a Lawson convenience store right around the corner, perfect for breakfast. The hotel itself is quite new, with rooms around 40 square meters, directly facing AEON, and the large windows offer a pleasant view. There's also a shuttle bus service to and from Disneyland, which takes about 20 minutes. The staff were all very nice. There weren't any USB outlets in the room, so I borrowed an adapter from the front desk, and they were all very helpful."

"HeWe chose this hotel because it’s located within the Tokyo Disney Resort area, making it very convenient to visit both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. We stayed for two nights and overall had a great experience. The room was extremely spacious — the largest we stayed in during our entire Tokyo trip. The in-room amenities were impressive as well. They provided bath salts, face masks, and even heat patches, which were perfect after a long day of walking around Disneyland or DisneySea. Unfortunately, these amenities were not replenished during our stay. The bathroom was another highlight, designed almost like a private onsen, and it was completely separated from the toilet, adding extra comfort and convenience. The hotel also has an in-house mart, though the food selection is quite limited. On the bright side, there is a small Disney shop inside the hotel where you can buy souvenirs without the usual crowds found in the parks. Breakfast was good and matched the standard of other hotels in a similar price range. I especially recommend the desserts — they were delicious. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning on our next Disney trip."

"It was ok, too expensive though. I got the family room, the room was big, but the bathroom especially the sink area was cramped, especially for how much the room cost. Small fridge but no freezer. Microwave all the way down in the lobby/foyer, that was annoying. There's a free shuttle bus to/from Shin-Uryasu metro, and also to Disneyland/sea. Its 10 min to the metro, but its about 25 min to Disneysea, because the shuttle stops at the metro and Disneyland first. Although apparently it also takes 25 min by taxi, according to the staff? Not sure. so just be aware, because I booked this hotel originally thinking it was a lot closer than it is to Disneyland. To get into town, its more direct to get to Tokyo station rather than Ueno if using public transport. There is a beautiful nature park right across the road though, that is good for children. You can pay to get the limousine bus to narita from there."
