"Despite initial promise, Kupferquelle's management left us deeply disappointed by reneging on a promised refund for a medically necessary cancellation, showing a lack of professionalism and empathy. In more detail, de stayed at many hotels and resorts across Africa during our multi-month overland trip, so we were excited to recharge at Kupferquelle, which had good reviews and appeared to be a professional, welcoming establishment. We chose it especially for my wife, who had experienced a small accident, making it difficult for her to walk, and as I also needed easy access to medical support. However, upon arrival, we discovered that our booked room was located over 200 meters from the main facilities, including the restaurant. Given our medical situation, this was impractical. We explained this to the reception team, who initially were very understanding and agreed to cancel our booking without penalty and assured us we would receive a full refund. Relieved, we arranged an alternative stay elsewhere. Unfortunately, this is where things took a disappointing turn. Despite filling out forms and exchanging a dozen emails over several months, we had to repeatedly follow up, only to finally be informed by management—four months later—that refunds were against their policy. This was a complete reversal of what we were promised. While the reception staff was friendly and helpful, we feel the management handled this situation unprofessionally. The lack of transparency and prolonged delay in communication were frustrating, especially given Kupferquelle’s reputation for high-quality service. We had expected better customer care, especially considering the medical nature of our request. We hope this review helps future travelers to be mindful of not only the amenities and photos but also the quality of service and responsiveness of management. We would advise other travelers to consider how customer satisfaction and empathy are prioritized, especially in unforeseen circumstances."

"Sadly we could only stay one night but we had such a fun evening with the staff. It's a beautiful decorated place, the prices for the rooms are absolute fair and the staff are the nicest people! The bed was super comfy and the shower is so big. Would recommend staying there with all my heart 💚"

"This is a gorgeous lodge and the best staff from top to bottom! There has been much thought in the making of this beautiful place. From our welcome at reception by Hilga and Ashley to the grounds and wildlife that are cared for by Sau, Joseph and many others I’m sure. The lodge is just a unique setting with great chalets that were clean and comfortable thanks to Elly and Salom. Now the meals and dining plus bar area look out onto the property so that was quite enjoyable as were the evening fire pit under the stars. The meals prepared by Chefs Victoria and Frances were top notch delicious and the warm and wonderful service by Monika and Paulus was second to none. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable and thank you Christine (the owner) who had such a wonderful vision in making this lodge and the work she does at her lodge and in the area of Tsumeb."

"We booked for camping for 2 nights and 2 people in a 4x4 Ute with roof type tent. beautiful little private spot we had. amazing amenities (hot shower, toilet, basin, then kitchen basin and large table). only thing we struggled with was that we were in campsite 2 and it was VERY hard to find a level spot. Our 'camper' was a bit unusual and had a very very high top on it when the tent was lifted so we struggled a bit. maybe a little grading or leveling there would be nice. but we managed and we LOVED it. nice little extra of someone popping down in the early evening to light our fire to heat the water. We did the walking trek AND the driving trek. both were amazing, we preferred the walking mainly because we were out in the elements and literally walking with Rhinos. we walked for about 4 hours and covered about 11km. truely one of the better things we did in Namibia. our guide was happy, knowledgable about everything and had water! we saw Rhinos of course (10 in all), Giraffe, Warthogs, Zebra and others.
