Hotel Villa Antica Tropea ★★★★
"The only downside is the lack of parking, being right in the center; it's hard to find a non-paid parking spot. It's also located in a restricted traffic zone, so unloading our luggage was a challenge."
Ananea Tropea Yachting Resort ★★★
"We had an exceptional stay at Ananea Resort Tropea from start to finish. The service was outstanding, with incredible attention to every detail that made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. The breakfast was one of the highlights—an amazing variety of fresh, delicious options with personalized service that made each morning special. The beautiful, spa-like pool was the perfect place to relax, and the attentive poolside service made it even more enjoyable. The location is excellent, with just a short walk up the stairs into the charming historic centre of Tropea. We also appreciated the complimentary shuttle service to both the town and the beach, which made getting around effortless. Tropea itself exceeded all of our expectations, and we can’t wait to return.A great place for both couples and families. A special thank you to Matteo and Nicoletta for your outstanding service, kindness, and helpfulness. You truly made our vacation memorable. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back! Your friends from Canada!"
Tropea Boutique Hotel ★★★
"More faulty down to Tui. Paid for an upgrade to a Junior Suite with lounge area and sea view. The hotel do not have rooms with this designation. Ended up in a small room with a disabled toilet that was not at all suitable as so high off the ground. Bathroom mirror so low I found it difficult to shave. No lounge area and had to sit on the bed. Could not put clothes on hangers as they were filthy, really dirty. Terrace furniture again filthy with ground in dirt and cracks in table. Hotel claimed they could not move us as fully booked. Tui rep would not visit us although they helped another couple. Sounds as if this was happening every week. Breakfast and evening meal were very good. Noticed that many family groups arrived and said they were not staying. Get the right room and it would have been a good experience. To quote about our room ‘someone has to have it’."
HibiscusUno Tropea Residence ★★★
Aether Suites Tropea - Free Private Parking ★★★★
"Very friendly and helpful staff. A few hundred meters from the historic center: strategic position. Even more so for the presence of internal parking, given that parking in Tropea is always a challenge. Recently built rooms and of a good standard. More than adequate breakfast!"
Hotel Il Vulcano ★★★
"Dinner on a mid-August evening with my family and that of a friend of mine from Rome. There were eight of us. All the pizzas were delicious—Vulcano, Napoli, Deliziosa, etc. The spaghetti with clams, the Mediterranean paccheri, and the fileja n'duja, the fried calamari and shrimp, were also excellent. The desserts were also delicious. The entire staff was very friendly. Congratulations again."
Sentido Michelizia Tropea Resort ★★★★
"Nice hotel, very helpful staff and a good location. Calm evenings with enjoyable evening music program at the pool."
Hotel Tropis ★★★★
"We stayed in a room with a sea view, a gorgeous view. It's a bit of a walk to the beach, but acceptable. The only thing is that there was no free water in the room. The room was clean. The hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was filling."
Sui Generis ★★★★
"The room is large and the hotel has an underground parking lot. From the balcony you can see the sea in the distance. The staff is very warm and friendly. The facilities are perfect. The breakfast is not bad. Have a great day here."

Residenza il Barone
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, and the rooms are spotless, with all the amenities you could need. The breakfast terrace is beautiful, making for a lovely start to the day. The hotel offers excellent value for money. The highlight of our stay was our host, who went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. He recommended great restaurants, arranged a boat trip for us, and pointed us to the best beach in the area. We are truly grateful for his kindness and hospitality."
Appartamento Gaia a Tropea
Residenza RoMa
"Located just outside the center. The old town center is a 10-minute walk away. Well-maintained rooms, friendly staff, and a delicious Italian breakfast. The only downside was that breakfast is served in the basement."
Hotel Calysea Tropea - Breakfast & Brunch Until 13-00 Included - Free Private Parking
"The worst experience ever. €245 for a room that was old and dirty, like a penguin's air conditioning that stank as soon as it was turned on, so we had to decide whether to die of the heat or the stench. I highly recommend it."
Kairos Tropea
"The hotel is in a strategic location, perfect for getting around easily. The rooms are very nice, well-appointed, and welcoming. The staff is simply magnificent: a family-run business that makes you feel truly at home, with everyone always so kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and high-quality. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel; it's an experience I would definitely repeat."
Hotel Villa Paola
"This location hotel tells itself as a five star we just couldn’t go higher than three for these specific reasons. When we pulled up, we could not find the front door. There were no signs nobody waiting in the gate was locked. We had to drag our bags in and knock until someone came. The checkout process was slow and lengthy. All we really wanted to do after a day of traveling is to check into your room, but they kind of held us hostage forcing us to wait around 25 minutes for them to check us in. Eventually, I had to go up and get our key as it was obvious they were not going to bring it to me. The hotel itself is fine. There is no beach close by although it’s advertised as beachfront. They charged us fees so we had to argue to get off the bill because we did not receive the service. Instead of acknowledging our concern on the bill and investigating it on their end they simply said you have to pay it. Eventually, with enough arguing, they agreed to take the minimal amount off the bill. Not the staff’s fault there is not a person there over 25 to teach the staff what 5 Star is. so I imagine none of the staff has been to a five star hotel. I’d avoid this hotel. ."
Tenuta Tropeano
"My boyfriend Kristofer and I stayed for a week at Tenuta Tropeano and we loved it! Beautiful hotel including the rooms, reception, pool area and garden. Safe parking space for your car. The owner Angelo, his family and the other staff were fantastic. Great service, communication, and cleaning. Angelo gave a high level of service all the hours of the day he was there, he recommended restaurants and places to visit, and with his warmth he made us feel so appreciated as guests. We already miss starting our mornings at Tenuta with their breakfast and incredible view. We recommend!"
Hotel Virgilio
"Overall - not a bad hotel. Close to the center and the train station. Very friendly staff. Clean. You can leave your luggage after check-out."
Hotel Colomba d'Oro
Il Borghetto Resort & Spa
"Il Borghetto is genuinely beautiful, well designed, pristine clean and immediately relaxing on arrival. The pool is a salt water pool (no salt taste by the way) with no added chemicals which makes for a very fresh and soft water experience. Complete with a shaded reading area and kiosk bar serving drinks and food. We stayed in a superior room with balcony overlooking the pool area and out to the sea ( I believe they all do unless you select a garden view) which was modern, well laid out with great functional air conditioning and a large bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious bedroom area with high ceilings adding an additional layer of comfort. Supplied with a fridge full of soft drinks (chargeable on use) and standard kettle and beverages. Practical considerations, you do ideally need a car to make the most of the area to Visit the centre and the beach / port. There is no restaurant at the hotel , so go and enjoy what are a selection of incredible and varied eateries with the Romano restaurant associated with the hotel which is a cut above the rest with exceptional local cuisine and taste.( you pay a little more but you don't have to dine there every night). There is also a very good restaurant/ pizzeria within 5 minutes walk of the hotel called the Locanda if you wanted to stay local. If you like walking then walk to the centre but it gets humid , taxis are available and parking is best achieved earlier in the evening. You cannot underestimate the secure gated parking Il Borghetto offers when you genuinely see what is available and you definitely cannot underestimate the warmth and embrace of a family run establishment from the Romano family through arrival , breakfast and departure"
Solmaris Tropea Rooms & Suites
"A bit pleasantly surprised, the hotel facilities are good, with its own underground garage, suitable for driving, the hotel is in a good location, across the street from the restricted area, it is very convenient to step into the old town for sightseeing. Originally I chose to stay in Tropea for the convenience of the ferry to Sicily the next day, I didn't expect the town to be worth a visit!"
Arcadia
"Arcadia seems brand new! We had a delightful stay, loved the kitchen, the walk into town was very easy and the beaches were not far! I would highly recommend staying there."
Donna Rosa Accommodation
"Francesco is amazing, and is helpful, warm, and go the extra miles to help. I have stayed in many B&B and many are friendly and helpful. What made Francesco special is he is personal, responsive, go the extra mile to help me. I can see and feel from my interactions with him and his interections with other hotel guests were that he cares for all his guests and their wellbeing. One example was he offered to send me to the train station as it was raining at no cost, and provided suggested places to visit and eat and also help with train travel. The hotel location is very good too. 7 mins walk from city centre where all F&B and shops and tourist attractions are located yet away from the crowd. Rooms are spacious and clean with daily house keeping. I am impressed and would recommend this place."
Blu Tropea Maison
"All memorable: from the absolutely central position to the reception and courtesy of Mrs. Ornella, to the cleaning of the building, a place full of history in an ancient palace. It is recommended that it allows you to reach the beach in very little while at the same time, the typical restaurants and fish are under the house at night. We will return."
La Torre del Mulino - Superior Rooms
"Me and my husband had the pleasure of staying a week at La Torre del Mulino in Tropea. We stayed in the room with a private balcony area, which was so nice for when you just need to have some down time. The location was great! Just minutes walk from the city centre, and a 15minute walk to the main beach. Antonio was accommodating and lovely!"
