"We stayed for one night after a self-drive birding trip in the region, and before our onward flight. Norma provided us with a friendly and helpful check-in. We were grateful for her slow, clear Spanish, which, with a bit of Google Translate, allowed us to follow what she was saying. The whole hotel is decked out with a variety of art and colourful finishes. Our room was lovely with a big double bed, a well laid-out bathroom and a balcony overlooking the lush garden. There's private parking behind locked gates and the WiFi was fine. Breakfast was a simple affair of coffee, toast and cakes but they kindly catered for our diabetic requirement. The hotel is located a short walk from bars and restaurants. A enjoyable stay!"

"This is a lovely old place. You expect a cowboy to walk in the bar. The service is very much down to business no nonsense. The rooms are very very basic and I did question myself if this was a place to stay. Do not expect the mod cons or everything pristine. The bed was comfy. The ceiling fan worked as good as air conditioning. The shower worked a treat. But as mentioned you have to let the place grow on you. If you want hilton standard you are not going to like this place.Travelling is all about the experience."

"We chose this place because of its price, which is consistent with what it offers, and also offers a garage, always good for those traveling by car and a safe place to keep it and not to have to land the baggage in the middle of the street. In the coffee, I had the cold milk I asked for, and it was a happy stay."
