"The room and the hallway smelt a bit weird. We also had a constant beeping all night but apart from that it was a lovely place very different vibe to usual hotel and had everything u needed in the kitchen was a nice size especially for the two of us would be great for a family of 4. It was also a little difficult to find as it says next to the tiger inn you wouldn’t see the tiger in unless you were looking up as the sign isn’t in a clear place and no one in the town had heard of it ."

"Hotel stunk of paint,no carpet on the stairs to the rooms only underlay(there was a lift),room smelt stale,no handles on drawers only bare screws crack in the sink, broken tiles, shower didn't work, paint and dirt on the bathroom door,hole in the wall next to the door. When we complained about the shower and the fact that we had driven 3 hours to get there and wanted to freshen up the receptionist said 'well you don't smell ',we asked to be moved to another room but there wasn't anything available. WILL NEVER RETURN I do have a video of the cracked sink, broken tiles and bathroom door but will not upload"

"We stayed at the Rafters studio which was so lovely, had parking and was a great central location to get to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Whilst visiting, we completed a 20km waterfall walk, visited the Brecon Mountain Railway and took on the 4 peak challenge with Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, Cribyn and Fan Y Big. It is self-catering though the kitchen is on the smaller size with only two electric hobs; i would recommend eating dinner out given the limited space :-) We'd also have benefitted from a little more storage for clothing, but that is only a minor thing. James is a kind and understanding host and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone wishing to visit the area to stay at James' Places!"

"We stayed in Studio 9, Outside In and had an amazing weekend. Loved the way the studio was decorated, it was very cosy and great value for money. A lot of thought has gone into decorating the accomodation and we loved the unique character of the studio. The location is good for visiting the Brecon Beacons and is in the town centre which is very convenient. Self check in was easy and convenient. We have stayed at a different property of James' before, Brynawel, and that was also lovely and a great experience. We appreciated the email from the hosts with recommendations of places in the local area. Would definitely recommend staying at James' Place if you are visiting the Brecon Beacons, you will not be disappointed 😃 "
