Trecarn Hotel
"Staff were friendly & a ground floor room with a bathtub was no problem. The free standing fan supplied didn't work & finally got a working one on the 3rd attempt. I booked the hotel as it said there was parking - no parking but still had parking sign up 🤔 I'm glad we took our own breakfast as the price for it is rather expensive. Other than that it was fine for a budget stay."
Hampton by Hilton Torquay
"Amazing stay at Hampton Hilton Torquay.Great location for town centre shops and bars. The hotel itself was very modern and well equipped with facilities. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Will definitely recommend to others. The breakfast was very good, with lots of quality food and drinks."
The Imperial Torquay
"The hotel entrance is lovely ans the room was nice, lovely sea view. A fridge in the room would have been a bonus. The pool and sauna and bar was also good. No hots drinks avaiable from 8.30pm, which was a surprise. The breakfast was disappointing."
Hotel Indigo Torquay by IHG
"Lovel, friendly, clean hotel. Got everything we needed"
Crofton House Hotel
"After reading some of the reviews, my partner and I were worried about our three day stop. We shouldn't have. Our room was clean and neat, with our own bathroom. Not perfect, of course, but this was only £40 a night for a small double. There is no useable outdoor pool or hot tub, as shown in older photos. However, there is an indoor pool and fantastic sauna and steam room.... I've never had them in a hotel at that price. There was plenty of tea and coffees in the room and a hairdryer, too. No breakfast, but a short walk away is Applebys pub. They do an amazing breakfast starting at 7:30 am. There is free parking at the hotel for 7 cars, but parking is available on the street also. This was a fantastic base for us and walkable to the marina."
Belgrave Sands Hotel & Spa
"Nice and clean hotel"
Coastal Waters (Hotel Barton)
"Excellent. Clean. Great breakfast good host. Good location. Good price. I definitely will book this accommodation again."
Hotel Hudson
"Great little hotel with "off the street" -save parking for motorbikes. Top floor room even had sea view. Very friendly host that took good care of us :)"
Tor Park Hotel
"Decent location. Spacious room with good in room facilities. Reception is open 24hours. Staff at reception were very friendly. There was a lot of noise from people running up and down the stairs and this continued till late at night. Otherwise it was an ok stay with value for money."

Riviera Lodge Hotel
"Stayed one Saturday night in the Rivera Lodge hotel in Torquay. Hotel is large with labyrinth of corridors. I had a refurbished room facing the main road, with single bed and pleasant decor. A portable fan in the room is essential as seagulls nest on the hotel roof and make a racket, so window shut and fan on. Breakfast was extra and average, yet catering for many people. Would stay again."
The Babbacombe Hotel
"Nice hotel, good food, lovely staff. Unfortunately the room they placed me in was damp and mouldy. Beds and pillows like rocks. As I have a poor sense of smell couldn't smell damp. Noticed the next day the wall was all mouldy. To be fair they changed my room but it should never have been occupied, it was obviously not new damp. Exacerbated my chest infection. New room was fine."
Livermead House Hotel
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Timeless Classic with Exceptional Service Livermead House is a wonderful reminder that true hospitality never goes out of style. From the moment you arrive, the team provides excellent traditional service — attentive, genuine, and delivered with warmth and pride. The hotel itself is a timeless classic: elegant, beautifully maintained, and full of old-world charm. Yet beyond the classic glamour lies a level of high standards and extra attention to detail that makes the experience feel truly special. The food is amazing — thoughtfully prepared, perfectly presented, and full of flavour. Every meal feels like an occasion in itself. If you appreciate tradition done well, with comfort, care, and character, look beyond the vintage charm and you’ll find a hotel that’s still setting the benchmark for excellence."
The Buccaneer Inn
"We used to visit this place quite often living locally as the food and atmosphere was really lovely, and then unfortunately it changed hands so stopped going as the menu had changed beyond belief from good quality pub grub to fairground hotdogs and more fast food. And then we noticed Sunday roasts were on the menu so thought we'd give it another go...what a mistake that was. We ordered the large mix meat roast, the meat if you call it meat was thin slices of luke warm tasteless process rubbish and the vegetables were frozen and over cooked. Goodness knows what you'd get if you ordered the smaller roast as our larger roasts came with only 3 potatoes, one frozen Yorkshire pudding and watery gravy. There were so many dogs on extendable leads making it quite dangerous for those carrying drinks and food...I for one nearly tripped over one of the leads just trying to pass. It appears no care has been put in place ensuring an enjoyable visit, and we certainly will not be returning."
Elmdene
"A wonderful holiday, Kim and Trev are wonderful hosts, always make you feel so very welcome, love the breakfast's so much choice, the afternoon tea was amazing, we loved it, the room was comfortable and inviting and had everything we needed, including a fan, which was much needed, love this B&B so much we have booked again for next year, thanks Kim and Trev for making our holiday special."
Carlton Court
"It was Carlton Court, Torquay revisited for us in August this year (2025)We last stayed in May 2015. We were warmly welcomed by Paul and Lynn who now run this delightful guest house. Our room was called the Fern which was bright and airy and beautifully decorated with a King size double bed and en-suite shower room with lovely plump, soft white towels. It had everything you can think of to make your stay comfortable, a mini fridge which was replenished daily with freshwater and milk, Tea, coffee with a delicious treat of a delicious homemade flapjack. There’s Bathrobes and slippers should you need them, hair dryer, safe deposit box and free wifi. It really was a pleasure to come back to after a day out and about. We stayed over a weekend so we were able to have a delicious freshly cooked breakfast, also available with fresh fruit and natural yogurt, a selection of cereals and fruit juices and of course toast, tea or coffee. It’s situated in a quiet area with its own free car park. It’s within a short walk to the seafront and a 20 minute walk to the marina where there are a good selection of bars and restaurants."
Court Prior Boutique B&B and Apartment
"What an amazing experience! From our initial welcome from Anthony and Pauline., to departing as friends. The B&B is beautiful, clean and classy. We were given a room on the ground floor ( when they saw my husband limping) without any hesitation . The room was spotless and spacious with everything needed. Breakfast was absolutely stunning! The choice of the cold buffet was great, the small and mighty yoghurt pots with fruit they have grown ( where they can) was my personal favourate, but the hot choice was where they excelled! The " full english", was tasty and excellent quality. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and was probably the best i've ever eaten!! We really didn't want to leave! We are hoping to go back again very soon."
Kingston House
"Immaculate house, fabulous breakfast, warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our 3 day stay. Plenty of scenic places to visit nearby. Kim and David."
The Grand Hotel
"We arrived around 2.30 tried to check get the paperwork out they knowing we couldn't have the room until 3pm was advised we couldn't so went to the bar at 3 .20: returnee to check it took nearly 40mins and the same to check out awful service"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have just enjoyed a wonderful week at the Charterhouse Hotel in Torquay, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Lisa and Christophe are amazing hosts who go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. Their warmth, friendliness, and attention to detail made our holiday extra special. The hotel is spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Torquay and the surrounding area. The breakfasts were absolutely exceptional, with an excellent choice of freshly cooked, high-quality food each morning—without doubt some of the best we've had. Thank you, Lisa and Christopher, for your outstanding hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely be returning. Devonshire Hotel
"Just returned from the Devonshire, Torquay. We found the staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble, room immaculate and food very good. It is on a hill but many walked down to the town and caught the bus bk so not a problem. Many people have been several times so they must be doing something right. There was no rush at meal times as unlike the other Daish hotels breakfast is from 8-8.45 (no pre booking ) and eve meal 6-6.45 (pre booked meal at breakfast) it worked very well. we will definitely return"
