"The Elmdene was outstanding in every way. This was a last-minute addition to our itinerary, and I can’t speak highly enough about the beautiful rooms, the delicious breakfast, and the friendly and charming hosts Trev and Kim! They immediately made us feel so welcome. We were blown away by the spotlessness of this historic bed-and-breakfast. We also so appreciated the location. It was right across the street from the Torre Abbey and a very short walk to the seafront. It was in a quiet area with easy parking. I would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Devon to stay at the beautiful Elmdene! An example of the hospitality, as we were leaving, Kim asked us if we needed any water or anything to take for our upcoming journey? I told her I had actually taken a water bottle from the room, and she said “well that was yours for the taking! Would you like another one?” They were just so kind and friendly. They also provided a beautiful tea, biscuits and fresh milk for our luxurious suite, as well as robes and slippers."

"What an amazing experience! From our initial welcome from Anthony and Pauline., to departing as friends. The B&B is beautiful, clean and classy. We were given a room on the ground floor ( when they saw my husband limping) without any hesitation . The room was spotless and spacious with everything needed. Breakfast was absolutely stunning! The choice of the cold buffet was great, the small and mighty yoghurt pots with fruit they have grown ( where they can) was my personal favourate, but the hot choice was where they excelled! The " full english", was tasty and excellent quality. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and was probably the best i've ever eaten!! We really didn't want to leave! We are hoping to go back again very soon."

"Swimming pool facilities were closed and it was not clear prior to booking when that was the point of stay. The bedsheet was dirty with a stain on it. Location is great. Breakfast average and not many options for food especially those whom don’t eat certain meats."
