"This was our first stay at this hotel and we have booked for next year already. The room was superb, clean, roomy and warm. The corridors may be a little cool, but so what. Boot rooms were the best ever, individual lockers which were roomy and with individual boot & glove heaters. Dinner in Les chanterelles was exteremely varied and interesting, but always superb The restaurant staff were all very good, particularly the supervisors. The hotel is well situated for ski-in/ out."

"Hotel is nicely placed, although is quite a long way off to the right side of the accessible pistes. Furthest you can make in one day on the slopes is Val D’Isiere from Tignes 1800. Not much in the town. One small bar and restaurant - nice racltte and fondue and wines - not cheap, but where is nowadays €403 for 6 adults Hotel quite close to spar - up the hill and prices not too much different to UK TBH. Hotel accommodation is nice, but rooms bit small, certainly for family of 6 adults. Only one toilet and 1 bath en-suite, rather than having family bath separately and shower/toilet en-suite in master bed room. Big balcony with great view. Kitchen fully equipped and would not moan about cutlery/plates or utensils etc as some other reviews. Ski equipment shop in floor -2 fine a good secure lockers. Swimming pool actually nicer than I suspected and better than some others I’ve been in before. Sad Jacussi/Sauna/Steam room etc not included in price and did not try the extra to use it (€17/45 mins - I think). Is ski in/ski out, but probably do need to use reds to get there. Only thing I would change would be location, more central e.g. Val D’Isiere (but suspect more costly), sauna/steam room included, more shops in Tignes 1800. Overall nice holiday and although did not need to use reception staff much, they all seemed very friendly and helpful when we checked in and out. Would be happy to return."

"From the moment you arrive the staff are on hand and ensure your stay is as perfect and comfortable as possible! The customer service and experience is the best I have received at any 5* hotel. The rooms are spacious with every amenity covered, the bar is a lovely informal space for drinks or a family meal. Drivers are on hand to take you anywhere you need. Our kids also really enjoyed the children’s spa treatments. We will be back for our family ski holiday every year, we really couldn’t find anywhere better or value for money. Well done Maison Bouvier team!!"

"The hotel has character, is clean, warm and spacious with sitting areas, logfire, bar,stunning views, a great restaurant and spa. It's just a short walk down some steps to the shops and ski slope. We stayed on the 4th floor, our room was lovely with a balcony, bathroom and separate toilet. It had everything you could want. The staff were amazing, so friendly and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. I've read some negative reviews about the food and wonder if these people ate at the same place i did? We were half board. Breakfast was a self-serve buffet with a selection of breads, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, salad, pastries and sausage, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. It was so filling, we skied all day and didn't need to stop for lunch! Evening meal changed daily, there was a choice between 2 starters and then a main course, if they didn't take your fancy there's a standard menu with a choice of 3 starters and 3 different mains. Desert is a selection of cakes. The portions don't look huge but were rich and filling, certainly don't leave feeling hungry! It's traditional Fench dishes so I guess if you are a pie and mash/fish and chips person maybe the food wouldn't be for you. Part of our half board package included eating at 3 other very local "sister" hotels, we tried them all and found the food to be of an equally high standard, bookings need to be made through reception the night before, we had no problem getting a table on each occasion. The spa was clean and well maintained. There's a small outdoor pool, not really big enough to swim lengths but perfect for relaxing in and enjoying the views. Also a sauna and steam room which was just what I needed at the end of the day. You can book various massage treatments but we didn't so can't comment. We had a wonderful week, would highly recommend and 100% will be returning."

"The hotel is not in great condition and needs renovating. The rooms are basic and tired. The bathrooms have not been updated for decades although the bed was comfy. The Housekeeping service is poor with little or nothing done on a daily basis. I stayed on a half board basis and the food was very poor, often running out of basics such as bread. The front if house staff were always under pressure and one snapped at my father for asking politely for a plate."

"Pitiful hotel - not a 4 star by any imagination! Awful hotel- no bar, no welcome, no atmosphere. Small rooms, overpriced and disappointing! Breakfast was hard work bearing in mind we’d paid for this service- had to ask for glasses, plates, cutlery…. Food!!! Bread is stale,hot food server is empty (at 9am… 4 days running!) I’ve seen better food at truck stops in the uk!!! Had to ask for juice, bread, bacon…. Just appalling!!! Beds not made, toilet paper not restocked, rooms not hoovered/dirty. You’re not even provided with cups in the room - only paper cups, and supplies not restocked! On more than one occasion we have been greeted by a variety of ‘teenagers’ behind the desk…. Mates having a chat and not staff. Very unprofessional. This is not the experience I was expecting from a 4 star hotel. It’s a poor location, not ski in/ski out,.. balcony dirty (animal excrement) little storage for a ski hotel…. No where to store your cases! I got an electric shock on the first night off the light switch….just terrible!!! Marks in the bath? Shower head not fit for purpose and towels not changed after 4 days! If yore talk don’t even bother with the shower! Just book somewhere else!!! We won’t be back"

"A fantastic hotel , very well located in the centre of the village but also ski in/ski out. The customer service was excellent, with very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention to Johan in the Ski room, in all my years of skiing I have never met anyone more knowledgable and attentive. My daughter got to try different skis to see which were the best for her and the conditions , he even showed me how to take my boots on and off properly, it's only taken me 20 years!! Thanks Johan!"
