We went to Chengdu during Easter Holiday and stayed at this Langbo hotel. The view is stunning at night. Room is clean and modern. my kid loves the bath a lot :) Location is excellent and Taikooli is just across the street. Breakfast is quite good with lots of choices yet the coffee is a bit tasteless. My stay at the Chengdu Kapok Hotel completely exceeded my expectations! It happened to be my birthday, and Winnie, a wonderful staff member, proactively asked if I'd like a complimentary cake. She actively coordinated with the decor company throughout the process, and the moment I opened the door, I was deeply moved by the special celebratory ambiance and exquisite details in the room. Winnie not only helped with the room arrangements but also assisted with the TV screen casting details, even during her break. She always responded to my messages promptly, making it a truly delightful and unforgettable birthday experience.

The hotel's attention to service details is truly impeccable; from the warm greetings at check-in to the well wishes at check-out, every single employee made me feel like family. The room was clean and comfortable, and the night view was absolutely stunning. Combined with Winnie's enthusiastic and attentive service, the entire experience was simply perfect! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special celebratory touch. The Kapok Hotel is definitely the top choice for celebrating anniversaries or any special occasion! I'll absolutely be back next time!

The front desk as well as other service staff provided splendid service to make us feel at home right from the start to the very end of our stay! Would especially like to commend front desk staff Angela for her help making us feel right at home during our check in. 

Will also like to commend the uncle from the supplies dept for troubleshooting the HDMI connectivity from my laptop to the room TV. He left us a direct HDMI cable for direct connection to the TV when we found the wall HDMI socket to be not working. 

Will definitely come back to stay here again when there's another concert nearby!

I booked a room with a view of the Empire State Building, but I could only see it in a line, which was a bit disappointing.

The room was a bit small, but the decoration was quite fashionable. The air conditioner was too noisy. Fortunately, it was not hot at night, so I just didn't turn it on.

The location is great, it's close to everything.

The hotel has its own restaurant, which tastes good. It's quite convenient for solo travelers

The most satisfactory hotel in New York, although not big, but the design is enough to make up for it. The service from the front desk to the back office is very thoughtful. The service standard is very high. Because we were given a room too late. In addition to upgrading the room, they also treated us to a Michelin meal. They were all proactively proposed, and I can say that I really like it. This trip to New York is so satisfactory, and this hotel has contributed a lot.

All was perfect, as usual. Always coming back here for business trips to New York.

Absolutely delighted with my stay! Firstly, the location is unbeatable – it's just a quick 500-meter, few-minute walk from the terminal. Secondly, the comfort was exceptional; the bedding was pristine, odor-free, and incredibly comfortable. Thirdly, the hotel felt truly high-end; even the toilet lid automatically lifted when approached. Fourthly, I loved the thoughtful touches, like the charming small sculptures of readers by the bed and in the bathroom. Fifthly, it was incredibly modern, featuring convenient voice-controlled curtains.

Stayed 2 nights at the Commune by the Great Wall, an Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

The resort is spread over a big acres of land within the Shuiguan area, also a short proximity to the renowned Badaling Great Wall.

You have to reach there by car or by DiDi as there is no public transport to reach the Commune. This is a resort for those who wish to spend quality time, to seek refuge and to relax. 

The resort was designed by 12 individual renowned architects, each reflecting their own taste and styles, clearly demonstrated in the Communal Home you are staying. 

Each Communal Home consists of 5-6 rooms where you share common spaces such as Living, Dining, Kitchen and Courtyard with other fellow travellers. You will still have your own room and private bathroom similar to any other hotels or resorts. With the Communal Home, you can access these public area / communal area where often it is under utilised which is great for us.

The room is immaculately adorned with the furniture styles of the Communal Home you have selected. There is Cantilever House (Red House), Terrace House, Suitcase House, Bamboo Wall, Forest House etc.

My Bamboo Wall room is a little small in my opinion. The bedding is on a Tatami Platform. Bathroom is too big and it takes up too much space for the bedroom. There are limited spaces for the suitcase as we travel from afar. There is also no hook for clothing in the bathroom, no hook for the hand towel which is quite strange given that it is quite luxurious.

We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2 with Shuiguan Great Wall Ticket and a High Tea. 

There is an outdoor swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. The pool is only open for 3 months during the summer months, not sure why the restrictions even though it is not a heated pool. During my visit, day time was hot and the air temperature was around 26-28 degrees. Though the water temperature may be way cooler, but if the pool is opened, we will probably take a dip.

The breakfast is either a la carte or buffet depending on the hotel's occupancy rate. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel as well and the food is very good though it is on the pricey side.

To move around the resort, you will either walk (depending on the location of your accommodation), it can be far away from the restaurant or the reception. You can call them for a car pick up.

The driver 小宋 is a great asset to the property, so as our Housekeeper 小李(李鸿建), he was very attentive and observatory. He saw we have many medicine and supplements in the room and he gave us extra water and left us a note. Great initiative!

In short, it is a very memorable stay and a very good hideaway.
