La Estrella de Tarifa
"We arrived to our destination and went up to the room. We noticed very quickly that the whole Hostel was very outdated. I stayed in this place many years ago and liked it, so I wanted to go back. The worst decision ever. The whole floor was full of black long hair in the whole room, the bathroom and inside the bathtub. I send immediately a message to the person that send us the instruction for check in and told them what happened. No answer. We went outside to have lunch and after a while I called and told them what happened and he said that the cleaning lady wasn't there anymore, but he could clean it. I said yes of course, but we are not in, so he can go ahead and clean it. I wouldn't go all the way back and wait for an hour for him to clean the place. I assume that have an extra key for those circumstances. He told me we had to be there, so we agreed that the next day he would return me some money for the inconveniences caused. After a week I called to ask about the return and they are telling me that I should have cancelled the booking to get a return. I am in shock how people can have a working Hotel, treating their clients like that. PLEASE DONT GO THERE, THE PLACE IS OLD, DIRTY AND THEY TREAT THEIR CLIENTS VERY BADLY. There are so many nice places in Tarifa to choose from."
Ohana Tarifa Hostel
"Good stay with simple kitchen to prepare your own food."
Alameda Hostal Boutique
"I was afraid the location might be noisy at it is so central, but in February there were not so many people around I didn't hear much noise from outside. Actually, the town center was surprisingly empty in the evening. I arrived late by ferry, so the location near the harbour was very practical. My room in the annex building had nice style, and beside the bed there were a small table, two hairs and a fridge. The bathroom was clean, but I had to wait a bit for warm water. The person at the reception was nice and gave me some advise about where to find food in the evening. In the morning I walked to the beach road where some cafes served breakfast."

Hotel Tarifa Lances, a member of Radisson Individuals
"Nice hotel outside of Tarifa. Decent sized rooms and nice breakfast. Outdoor pool was closed in the off season. Helpful front desk and free street parking outside."
Hotel la Peña
"The place has a magical atmosphere! The garden feels like a paradise in a sunny day! The room was very confy with a high level of cleanliness and both beds were well prepared. The distance to the beach and to downtown is short with a rented car. The service was good although only available in Spanish. The overall experience was excellent, so we will return!!! We definetly recommend it and we feel deeply grateful ^^"
Hotel & Spa la Residencia Puerto
"I didn’t like the room I had at first, so I changed to a better room and the service was very good. The hotel breakfast is also very good The location is very good, it is very convenient to go everywhere. There are many restaurants around"
El Levante
Hotel Copacabana Tarifa Beach
"The hotel really is a budget hotel, the pictures look nice, but in reality it's a 1 star hotel. We got conned into paying 200euros per night and it really wasn't worth it. The pool was empty, the staff at check in were rude, only the cleaners were nice "

Margaritas 21 Rooms
"The location is convenient; Tarifa isn't large, and the rooms are just steps from the historic city walls and close to the sea. The rooms are also comfortable, but since there were four of us, we struggled a bit with space, both for luggage and for movement. However, since we were only staying for one night, it didn't matter. If I were to visit Tarifa again, and I hope I will, I would opt for two rooms. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but overall, I'm satisfied."
El Asturiano
"Ferry was cancelled in Tarifa so I quickly booked this to stay the night. Realized I had booked the wrong night so went to the hotel. Locked up, no answer to s phone call. Sent a message asking them to cancel the booking and refund the charge...no response at all. Read other recent reviews and stay away"
Convento Tarifa
"It should be a better accommodation in Tarifa."
Eole Tarifa Rooms
"Interesting and authentic place, the patio area with fireplace is a standout feature of this hotel, it's advisable to contact the owner in advance to receive check-in instructions. In winter, the room is somewhat cool and wet."
100% Fun
"This is a lovely hotel. Beautiful gardens and lovely setting.Staff were very attentive and pleasant .Plenty of space to sit in peace around the bar area. Lovely pool too Breakfast buffet has a very good selection. Used the restaurant once while we're there lovely food good portions and good value.n The beach is a 5 mins walk from the hotel. A couple of negatives. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, also no way of getting drinks during the day. Bar opening rather late if you fancy a drink before dinner."

"This hotel is horrible and, on top of that, they’re thieves! The photos have nothing to do with reality. They gave us a room that looked like a storage room, with an unbearable smell, it was terrible! Luckily, we had only booked one night. We had to urgently book another hotel at 9:00 PM. We didn’t even use the room! When we asked for a refund, they told us to deal with Booking. Booking submitted the request… and the hotel refused to refund us! An absolute disgrace. People like this are scammers. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!"
El Cortijo de Zahara by QHotels
"Not really sure where to start! The whole experience has left me doubting my sanity. Check in - starts at 3pm but unable to gain access until 3.45pm due to cleaning; floor still wet on entry, resulting in 3 attempts to check in. Room - no mattress on the cabana, minibar consisted on 2 bottles of water, sofa rear support was broken. Hotel amenities - truly lovely, pool is amazing, reception central courtyard is stunning. Views down to the beach are outstanding. Skybar was closed. Food - very good standard although I would avoid the half board as very limited option. Breakfast provided a very wide ranging excellent buffet. Service - best described as awkward. As an example, I asked for some ice for room & informed it was not possible but then next day an ice bucket turns up. I believe a lot of this is down to the individual staff. Looked to have a late check out and despite a delayed check in, late check out was €10 an hour. Hoping the items above can be addressed and make this an excellent experience. Unable to recommend a stay at present"
Hotel Boutique Varadero
"Great boutique hotel next to the beach and superb food and bar scene with a lovely zen decor and vibe. Great staff, very helpful and service oriented."
Meliá Zahara Resort & Villas
"Very disappointing all round - especially for the price paid. Constantly queuing for meals, breakfast, coffee machines that were rarely working - and topped off by very poor service. When escalating issues to management, they were indifferent (to put it mildly). Avoid. "
