"Objectively speaking, the hotel isn't bad overall. However, it's the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. You don't need a key card to go up the elevator, there were hotel staff's kids who weren't guests running around unsupervised in the gym, and the breakfast selection was limited. The most outrageous thing was that someone was actually smoking inside, and the nearby staff completely ignored it."

The laundry room was damp and dimly lit, filled with hotel staff's clothes. Service: "We've upgraded your room!" seems to be standard industry rhetoric, designed to make guests feel good. But was it actually an upgrade? I was assigned a room on the far side, with no extra space for a window. The small window made the room feel very cramped."
