"Wonderful place to stay. The location is excellent for visiting Mati temple. The family that runs it was super friendly and helpful: Even though we only spoke English, they managed to arrange a transfer for us from Zhangye station and then onwards to Danxiakou. The room was very comfortable and the view was great. Many thanks to everyone. We hope to go back some day!"

"Everyone should come and stay here! The owners are an angel. We arrived on Chinese New Year's Eve, and they cooked us New Year's Eve dinner. The next day, they provided an incredibly delicious breakfast, and they even gave us a discount on entrance fees to Mount Bals with our accommodation certificate. When we went out to stargaze that night, the owners were waiting for us. The next day, they told us the best spot for sunrise. What an amazing family!"

"The room was OK and it was close to the scenic area. The downside was that the hotel had no walls and people could come and go as they pleased. There was no lock on the door. It was difficult to get the luggage from the front desk to the room. There was no electric car to take it."

"The biggest advantage is that the scenic area shuttle bus is right outside the door, and there's a door from the front desk leading to the visitor center. You can book a guide before breakfast, and then go directly into the scenic area when they open at 8:30. That afternoon, it snowed lightly at Mati Temple, which was perfect for us southerners – we could see snow without it being too cold. We took lots of photos and even had a snowball fight! It was so much fun. When the snow got heavier, we stayed in our room and looked at the distant Qilian Mountains – amazing! After resting, we went to the restaurant for dinner at 6:30 PM. The 168 yuan meal for four included two meat dishes, three stir-fried vegetables, and a soup – the portions were huge, we couldn't finish it all! We specifically asked for no spice. Even though it was the off-season, we were the only ones having dinner, but the food was still quite good, and the service was excellent. They even gave us an extra breakfast. We checked out late at 3 PM, taking our time exploring Mati Temple – perfect!"

"It is very close to Danxia Scenic Area and very convenient. The proprietress was very enthusiastic and explained to us the business hours and bus times of the scenic spot! The people are very nice and the food they cook is delicious! ! I will recommend it to my friends if they want to travel to Danxia next time! ! !"

"Arrived at the B&B at night, it was pitch black outside, so I didn't dare to go out. The bathroom heater wasn't working, and the 'starry sky' ceiling and glass were really dirty 😅. Maybe it was due to the weather, but I couldn't see any stars either."

"To be fair, the landlady was fine; her service was excellent, and the location was convenient. However, the environment was absolutely terrible. There was a small gate to a large courtyard on the first floor, and three huge flies were swarming around the entrance. I had to swat them all over the place at night. The sheets also had black spots and weren't very clean. The toilet smelled terrible all night; it was separated from the room by an aluminum alloy door, and the smell was right next to the bed. If you're a girl who's particular about cleanliness, don't skimp on this place; you won't be able to handle it. I didn't sleep a wink all night."
