Our room was exceptional - spacious +++ a king sized bed, plus bolsters. Aircon and cable channels were tiptop, only flaw was hair dryer malfunctioned. Reception called to remind on checkout time 👍👍👍. Breakfast was mostly Indonesian food. Perhaps could include yogurt, savoury pastries or Italian dishes/pizza?

Located on iconic Asia Afrika street, this hotel offers great location. Overall the quality is just ok, considering this is an old hotel. Some notes: - the sliding partition in the shower did not work, so I have to take the shower carefully in order not to splash too much water into the dry area - the elevator broke down on Saturday. I had to wait 30 minutes just to go from 4th floor to the 1st floor. If this is scheduled maintenance, then why did they not plan ahead to avoid high season? If this is not a scheduled maintenance, then I doubt their safety standard. Such a shame for a hotel with iconic location, too bad I will not be coming back to this hotel.

Good strategic location and near to amenities. Second time visit to this hotel as we booked the room with bigger space especially the Naripan Wing. Breakfast was good with many varieties and the service was excellent especially the doorman (Sugeng) was very friendly and helpful. Will recomend to friends in S’pore!!

Old rooms need reno.. not enough power points.. bedside no PowerPoint to charge phone. Bathroom very old and needs work. Pool has cracked tiles need repairs. Old gym so didn’t use. Internet would often disconnect randomly and annoying. Good location for weekend and night activities. Concierge Mr Sugeng and other concierges were the friendliest and helpful during my time that made me thru the week.

The mattress, pillows, towels, blankets all smell and are too old for a 4 star hotel.

I feel disappointed with this hotel, the building is magnificent, the location is strategic, but the room is not according to the price, the bathroom: 1. There is no place for the bidet, 2. The sink is clogged, brushing your teeth feels..., the carpet in front of the bathroom is wet, so the room smells damp, the bathroom door is hard to close, it's hard, in short, I'm really disappointed.

The water is dirty, the response is slow... until I CO quickly and don't take a shower because the water is dirty

Formerly a beautiful hotel with faded charm. Poorly managed. Employees barely understand English. Large but worn rooms. Tap in bathroom wobbly, dirty all around. No yogurt or jam at breakfast. Restaurant catastrophic. 80% of the things ordered were not available. Service extremely slow and incompetent. It took 30 minutes before I was told that there was no Sprite. The waiter spoke and understood no English and had to get colleagues to communicate twice. Only the cash register worked...

The food is delicious, access to everywhere is close, highly recommended for families or couples.

The staff is friendly, breakfast has many choices, the rooms are neat and clean.
