"Greg is top notch! I’ve stayed here twice for several weeks at a time for my travel nursing contracts. It’s extremely clean and quiet and Greg will address everything very promptly and professionally. The price is unbeatable. Laundry facilities are nice and clean. All of the appliances and central AC/ heat work great and are well-maintained. Pro tip: If you’re going to be here for a long time, get a queen mattress pad to be more comfortable. The beds are sturdy but the mattresses might not be the best for your back. I love it here and will only stay here if I come back to Sumter. Zero riff raff. Just working people who don’t mess with you."

"Hotel is under renovation... dust and Nosie."

"I checked into the Candlewood Suites in Sumter SC on 7/19. The room looked great, and I even got an upgrade for my room type. I had to call to the front desk to get pillows, blankets and sheets for the sleeper sofa as there was none in the room for my granddaughters. When I finally got to go to bed, I pulled back the blankets on the bed in the bedroom and there was blood stains on the sheet. We all slept on the sleeper sofa for the night. I called the front desk first thing Saturday morning and informed the front desk with what I had found the night before. They told me they would send housekeeping up when they came in to take care of the situation. Housekeeping arrived and the lady said she was the Supervisor and cleaned the room herself the day before. She claimed she would have never put sheets on looking like that. I informed her of the trash I found in the trashcan under the kitchen sink as well, and it wasn't my trash. She and another cleaner cleaned the bed right away. Meanwhile, the GM Kaitlynn called me in the room and asked what was the problem. I filled her in, and the first thing out of her mouth was we won't be compensating anything on the room. Mind you, I am a Gold Elite member, and I hadn't even asked for compensation. All I wanted was clean sheets on the bed. But, the tone the GM used with me was unacceptable. I will finish out my stay until Friday at the hotel, due to having little ones with me, but next time I am in Sumter SC, I will be staying at another hotel. Like I said, all I was asking for was clean sheets and the GM made it seem that I was looking for a free room."

"The first room we were assigned was very dirty. We asked for another room and the deak clerk was very apologetic and helpful. We had a new room in minutes that was very clean. Just keep in mind , you are getting what you pay for."

"Newest and cleanest hotel in Sumter! Perfect for a long term stay. Free breakfast, free laundry machines, and stove tops in the rooms. They have air fryers, crockpots, blenders, etc. for rent at the desk. We loved the grill & smoker provided. We loved that we could grill steaks and enjoy the lovely fire pit table outside. This place has everything you can think of, plus amazing staff! Our room was spotless and everything looks brand new."
