"Challenging...we used our "suite" upgrades, which works in that they will put you in a suite that no one wants. While the room was large, it was right next to the service elevator. So, changed rooms. The new room was ok, but still had it's challenges. While we were there nothing seemed to work. My wife went to the spa,"

Sheraton Park City Hotels in Summit County

Sheraton Park City

"This is an average mid range Sheraton Hotel. The service is average. I have an issue with their parking arrangement (received a parking ticket), but the manager said the parking service is managed by a different company. Please make sure you read the signs very very carefully when you park. The front desk never told you to pay attention to all those confusing signs, and the manager never apologized that her employee needs to remind the guests about parking details. Other than that, the experience is OK. They have shuttle to Park City lifts and Deer Valley lifts during the daytime, as well as to Main Street in the evenings. Try to have a room facing outside streets, not the courtyard, where the indoor pool is. The noise from the indoor courtyard pool is amplified, and their sound insolation is quite bad. Their onsite restaurant is not too impressive. Try a neighboring restaurant "Salt Box," where the food is very tasty with very reasonable price."

Stein Eriksen Residences Hotels in Summit County

Stein Eriksen Residences

"There are locations and hotels that can really impress you...and then there are places that rise to a level of service and beauty that stay with you long after you’ve left. Stein Eriksen Residences is firmly the latter. Even visiting in the off-season, the experience felt nothing short of world-class. What stood out most was the service. It wasn’t just polished or efficient. It was deeply genuine. Every interaction carried a sense of warmth and generosity that felt as though the staff was picked because care was simply a part of their nature. Everyone seemed to take real pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere, and it showed in the smallest details: thoughtful recommendations, unhurried conversations, and an attentiveness that never felt intrusive. The lodge itself becomes something entirely different outside of ski season (when I visited). The private infinity pool helped me feel grounded, expansive, and deeply peaceful. And just a few steps below the pool was easy access to the alpine paths. When you go to a location known for its skiing, you don't think about visiting in off season, which, perhaps, is why I was surprised by the expansive hiking and biking. The surrounding mountains open up into a playground of trails that offer sweeping views of the flowering/green slopes, crisp mountain air, and a kind of quiet that’s hard to find. I looked it up and Deer Valley has easy access to 70 miles of lift-served biking trails of all kinds. I truly enjoyed my day hikes and, in rare instances, being able to watch the incredibly talented off-road bikers. The next time I go, I'm planning on renting a bike! And if you're going with a family, or even as an adult, there are still other things to do in Deer Valley just a short distance away, like the Park City Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, the local farmer's market, and other attractions. I also really enjoyed the craft beers and fresh eats with mountain views scattered across various small towns in the valley. In short, what the Residences makes this place exceptional isn’t just the setting, though it’s undeniably beautiful. It’s the feeling that you’re being cared for by people who truly enjoy what they do and where they are. There’s a sense of generosity in both service and in spirit that elevates the entire experience. In any season, this lodge would be remarkable. But in the off-season, it reveals a more intimate, serene side that’s equally memorable. It’s a place I would return to without hesitation."

Hotel Thaynes, Park City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Hotels in Summit County

Hotel Thaynes, Park City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

"Park City Peaks Hotel is an easy drive to Main Street. The hotel was super quiet even though they are renovating the hotel. The underground parking was nice but a bit of a mess due to the renovation. The breakfast was good and had sausage, eggs, potatoes, breakfast breads and fruit. The common areas and rooms were clean. They are building a nice outdoor areas that will be nice once it is finished, but for now the view is a construction site. The staff were all very helpful and nice."

"Having Marriott status doesn’t seem to do any good here. Next time we will probably check out the Montage. We live in Park City and used points to book a room over the 4th of July for our family. I have Platinum status with Marriott and we thought this would be a good idea for the kids. We booked a basic room with 2 queens. Upon checking in today I saw that our room was one of maybe 20% of rooms on a floor that doesn’t have a balcony. I went to the front desk to ask for a different room with a balcony as the Marriott app showed multiple open rooms with 2 queens that had balconies, albeit on the opposite side of the hallway vs ours. With Platinum status this was not a big ask. The person behind the desk went to ask his manager, who said no and that we had to stick with the room. I informed him that I can see on Marriott’s app that there are other rooms with 2 queens listed open during our stay that have a balcony. Just sitting empty. He replied that since we are using points, the manager said we have no choices and can’t move rooms, even though those facing the mountain are sitting empty. This seems pretty petty especially when you consider we have been staying at this hotel a few times a year as locals. With 4 of us in a room the balcony had been key in the past to let the kids hang and watch a show while my wife and I sat outside. Sadly, that is not an option for us on this trip since the staff would rather rooms with balconies sit empty vs try to help out a frequent Marriott traveler."

"The thing that struck me most was the additional charge of $45 resort fee per day AFTER we have checked out. Did not even realize that wasn't in the package. beware."
