"We loved our time here, it was truly a life changing experience. If you are just a casual traveler a few tips: Its off road a bit, be careful, it will look like you are going the wrong way, but keep going! Eat dinner before you get there or prepare for a fun excursion to Stonehaven to eat in the dark, and it is DARK there if you are from (US). There are a lot of good places to eat there if you get there early enough, the town is beyond beautiful, if you can visit during the day it will be worth it as it is gorgeous! Non casual travelers: Definitely worth the stop. Angela is the most perfect host. Rooms are charming, clean and beautiful. Breakfast was perfect, Angela is an amazing cook. View of the North Sea is spectacular! It is a bit of a walk to the beach and also returning back. It’s definitely worth it We look forward to returning very soon."

"I booked two nights from the 21st of November to the 23rd of November. I was met by Michelle and David and straight away they welcomed me and made me feel right at home and even made me some nice coffee to take to my room. The room was amazing and offered everything I needed and the beds are super comfy. I had breakfast the next morning and again Michelle made me feel so welcome and we just chatted away and the breakfast was sublime and cooked in-front of me by Michelle. Amazing hosts and exceptional comfort at the B&B. Could give 100 stars if there was an option. Lots of love for this B&B and the host where just fantastic!"

"Nicest place I’ve stayed in in a long time. Super quiet at night. Room was incredibly clean and the bed and sheets were brilliant. The bathroom was great and the breakfast was just what I needed before a long day of working at a nearby wedding. Owners were 10/10 friendly and helpful too!"

Shorehead Guest House

"The location of the guesthouse is excellent ( on the harbour front) We were in what was described as "deluxe double room" we felt the room was no more than average certainly not deluxe, the ensuite bathroom was small, the shower worked well ,however, the toilet brush was filthy. The bed was comfortable. the drawers in the bedside cabinets, were collectively too small to hold items such as several shirts / jerseys etc. There was a cupboard for hanging coats, jackets etc, overall somewhat inadequate, we tended to work out of our cases. A chest of drawers would have been better than what was provided. In respect of breakfast as a whole we were disappointed, not in the food, however, our previous experience when we have been in other guesthouses the food , would be laid out, in this case you were required to go to the fridge choose your food, boil the kettle, make your own tea or coffee. Flasks / thermoses (drink containers) would perhaps have been a better idea, having said this the configuration the room may require some effort /cost to achieve any meaningful difference Regrettably we would not be able to recommend the Shorehead Guesthouse."
