Tucked away in the labyrinth alleys of the Medina, Riad Algila transports one into a world of tranquility & elegance. The riad's meticulously adorned courtyard with gentle tricking of water from the fountain, swaying green trees and intricate tile work serves as a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city outside. Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay. Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

BRAVO! Jamal and his family have transformed their ancestral home into a place that we (and other visitors alike) can call home in Fez. From meeting us at the main road and escorting us through the narrow lanes of the medina, to joyfully serving us breakfast each morning and a sumptuous dinner on our final evening, Jamal and family were super accommodating and friendly.

This is a hidden gem of Fes 😍 we were very well treated and the room is cosy and beautiful. The shower head needs something to hold it in place so water does not splash all around but apart from that everything else was perfect. The night receptionist was amazing to make us some breakfast bags for our early trip the next day, and he helped with a taxi and all. My friend has done the hamman and loved it. Well recommended!

The 14th century house, the building itself is very beautiful and amazing. Breakfast is on the top of the building, the scenery is great, and you can see a large area of medina. The room facilities are also good, basically have everything they should. But the old house also has problems. The soundproofing is too poor. There is a room on the second floor that can be heard up and down by the elevator, and the noise in the aisle will be loud. It was already evening on the day of arrival, and when I entered the house, I rushed into the smell of disinfectant water. The biggest breakdown is that there are 4 power jumps in 2 nights. This kind of thing happens in such a house is really scary. When the staff said that this had never happened before, it made people feel even more terrifying. The traffic is fairly convenient, you can park nearby, and you don’t have to drag your luggage for too long. But this location is actually quite far away from the regular old city activity area, and the shortcuts in the old city don't dare to go at night. We wanted to take a taxi on the side of the road at about four or five o'clock. It was difficult to take a taxi. It seemed that the taxis were full of people. Leaving in the morning, I had to take a taxi to the CTM station. Since it is difficult to call a petit taxi at this location during the day, I asked the front desk to help book a private car. It takes about ten minutes and 100dhr. If you know you have been killed, you can only use this method. The girl at the front desk is very dedicated and feels like she is sitting there day and night. If you have any questions, just ask her, but it makes people feel that pushing dinner and spa is a bit too much, but I don’t say anything if I refuse. Woke up the morning before leaving and helped us pack breakfast.

What made me very unhappy was that on the first morning, I knew that the B&B did not include breakfast, so I had already walked to the street when I ran into the boss, who stopped me and asked me why I didn't have breakfast, ”It's included”. Confirm it's included again and again, and then go back to the B&B for breakfast. As a result, when I left the store, I received an additional bill of 100 dirhams. The boss said it was your breakfast. Isn't the question repeatedly confirmed included? The boss began to use sign language to excuse him from not knowing English, and used Google to translate it into his language, and began to pretend that he was illiterate and unable to read. I'm very, very, very upset about that. It is not a matter of amount.

If I ever return to Fes, I will definitely stay here again. In contrast to its historic and traditional charm, the rooms were incredibly clean and beautiful. Waking up to nothing but the sound of birds chirping in the morning was a dream. Every detail of the interior was stunning, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The location is actually much easier to find compared to other accommodations in Fes. However, I did have a bit of trouble finding it at first and unfortunately got scammed by a fake guide—so please be careful! Also, keep in mind that the stairs are quite steep. Aside from those points, my stay was absolutely perfect.

Close to the edge of the ancient city, the location is good, the lobby atrium is beautiful and exquisite, and the staff is friendly. The room is small and the facilities are average, the bath water takes a long time to heat up, the water is not smooth, and the two rooms booked are leaking; Stayed for two days and the next day, the room did not clean the room, the room did not provide water, and the charge was 20 di a bottle. Later, the water was not charged after reflecting the previous problem. I don't know where Ctrip's luxury five-star evaluation came from?

The location is very good to find, away from some areas that are too noisy, not close to the main attractions, but walking through the alley is also more fun. The middle courtyard is large, there are tall trees, very beautiful, and the room can't be counted. I feel that the room is warmed by floor heating, and I feel very warm without air conditioning in winter. The toilet started to be bad, but the staff repaired it immediately the next day. On the first night, I could use a small bucket to pick up the water and flush the toilet. The bathroom is equipped with a bathing pool, but the nozzle installation location is too low, the squatting can be rinsed out, but it is too short, the squatting can be showered, especially inconvenient, the water is still relatively hot. The girlfriend's room has a high fixed position to fix the nozzle, but their bathroom is very stuffy on the second floor. The breakfast is very rich, if you leave early, you will help pack it. Toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, remember to ask the hotel, no moisturizer, it is best to bring your own, the impression seems to have no hair dryer, the girlfriends used to bring their own. Overall ok!

The location was hard to find. Once found, the Riad is definitely a reminder of historical significance as a palace. It has not been updated as far as bathroom and privacy in the room( voices carry from floor to floor). The breakfast service was very good and the staff were very courteous, they spoke both French and English .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unexpected Moroccan traditional courtyard experience! ** The **Volubilis Hotel** that I stayed at in Fez this time was really great! The hotel is located in the old city of Medina, and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Blue Gate of Boujilou. The location is super convenient. As soon as I entered the door, I was amazed by the Moroccan traditional courtyard. The mosaic tiles and carved wooden doors are super atmospheric and beautiful for taking pictures! Special thanks to our Chinese tour guide **Director Lin (WeChat: **********)**, who helped to book a price cheaper than the platform and upgraded the suite for free! The room was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the terrace overlooked the panoramic view of the old city of Fez. Director Lin also recommended a super authentic tagine restaurant near the hotel, which was much better than the Internet celebrity restaurant! The hotel service is also very considerate. The front desk is fluent in English and helped arrange airport pick-up and local SPA. You must try the mint tea and honey pancakes for breakfast! If you come to Fez, I strongly recommend staying here. Find Director Lin (WeChat as above) to book and you can also get a desert group coupon, which is super cost-effective!
