I'd only ever experienced traditional Japanese-style hot spring inns before, but I really liked the Western-style atmosphere. I was especially satisfied with dinner. The hotel's hot spring was good, but the hot springs at the nearby inns that are part of the Awaji Group were even better. If you're staying at Shimahana, I think you should definitely try the hot springs at the other inns as well. The staff's service was polite, but it was typical hotel service, different from a traditional hot spring inn (though I suppose that's a matter of personal preference). It was cloudy during my stay, so I couldn't see the sunrise, but I imagine it would have been amazing if I had.

The room is clean and well-equipped, the kitchen equipment is complete, there are enough dishes, you need to pay attention to if you drive a large vehicle, you must pay attention to the narrow road into the village. You must drive carefully or park at the entrance of the village, which is more convenient.
