Amazing
GGuest UserReally nice little place to stay. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference.
It’s a newer hotel, and initially the only downside was that there wasn’t any food service available. However, that changed on our last day, they now have a menu with a selection of food and drinks available from the kitchen/bar, which is a great addition.
The only other thing to note is that the hotel is located close to a mosque, so it can be a bit loud during the early morning call to prayer. That said, if you’re travelling in Lombok (or any Muslim country), it’s something you should expect and respect, it’s all part of the local culture and what makes the experience unique.
Overall, a great stay and definitely worth considering.
AAdrian DellerHad a wonderful experience staying at the Villa Theraum. The place itself has nice communal areas with excellent sized bedrooms and comfy beds. The view is stunning and floating in the infinity pool overlooking the bay is the perfect way to relax. The breakfast is decent with a good selection to choose from and freshly prepared. Finally, we were very happy with the great service we received from the staff and owner whilst we were there making sure we felt at home and that everything went smoothly with our deeparture. If we come back to Lombok in the future we would definitely look to stay here again.
HHanis SNothing but good things to say about Kalea Villa. Their manager, Fani was very attentive, she had contacted me prior to check in to ensure the room would be ready in time, i informed that i would be a little late and they waited for me to settle in. The staffs were also friendly they suggested us places to go for food and sunsets which was very helpful since we didnt detail out our plans here, we just wanted to do whatever for the day. They also helped to arrange motorbike rentals and airport transfer at a reasonable price. The villa was perfect, it was beautiful, private, clean, as expected from the pictures. And their services just made the whole stay very enjoyable for us.
MMenggulanvwangFor the last few days of my Indonesia trip, to escape the crowds of Bali, I came to Lombok to slow down and recuperate. I stayed one night at the Sheraton in Senggigi, and the service was so attentive, detailed, and thoughtful that it was unforgettable. Arriving at this hotel, there was a huge drop-off in experience right from the moment we walked in.
First, it was very unusual for them to take us to our room with our luggage to check-in. They led us to a small room on the second floor in a corner of the backyard. It was so tiny that there wasn't even space to open our suitcases. After completing the formalities, they opened the curtains and told us they were sorry, but there was construction going on at a neighbor's site outside the window, which might be disturbing. I said that wasn't right; I had clearly booked a mountain view or garden view room, which was also larger than this. This was obviously not the room I booked. My husband spent a long time discussing it with the check-in staff, and they agreed to change our room. They showed us a larger room and said we'd have to pay extra, which we didn't accept. We insisted on a room with the same conditions and price as our original booking. We then had to wait in the courtyard for a long time again. Finally, we were moved to a room that was more or less comparable to what we had booked. It felt like there was a clear差別待遇 (differential treatment) between Chinese tourists and Caucasian tourists; if you don't argue your case, you'll be assigned the worst rooms that don't meet booking standards.
After that, the service attitude was still acceptable. However, the next day, I asked the housekeeping staff for two extra bottles of water. When I returned to the room, I saw a trash can filled with two bottles of water placed on the bed. I don't know what that meant. I originally wanted to be more eco-friendly and not change the bedding, but now I had no choice but to ask them to change all the linens.
The hotel's location is quiet yet convenient. The design style and interior space are quite good, and the breakfast at the restaurant has long serving hours and decent taste. It's not far from the beach, and it's convenient for shopping and dining nearby, but the overall prices are a bit high.
TTutukiatOur stay was perfect. I stayed at a total of 5 different hotels or villa in this Bali/Lombok trip and i must say Lina’s Villa is my top favourite!
The service crews are super polite and helpful. The vila itself is simply gorgeous! Just look at the photos, they look exactly like the photos the villa posted.
The place is also a short 5-10mins walk to the main Kuta street. Villa offers free scooter ride to anywhere in Kuta area.
Only small improvement is perhaps you may have to book or arrange early if you would like to try out their spa/massage service as the availability of their masseurs is quite limited.
HHappiHallWe originally booked Lobster Bay for five days and ended up staying ten — which probably says it all.
The villas are fantastic: spacious, beautifully designed, fully air-conditioned, and each with its own private plunge pool. It’s a place where you relax the moment you arrive.
The staff are outstanding — friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, with genuine warmth and real smiles rather than scripted hotel politeness. The cooks are equally impressive, with excellent, freshly prepared food, and great choices on the menu.
We can’t say enough good things about this place and would happily return. One of our favourite ever stays.
NNatashia RankinWe had such a lovely stay. The hotel and amenities are really nice, great pool & restaurant, clean and comfortable room. The location is a bit far away, but the hotel can help you to arrange motorbike rent to reach the town, which takes about 10-15 min. It's nestled in the mountains which makes it very relaxing though!
GGuest UserWe stayed for a total of 4 nights. The room was very good, with a super comfortable bed. The garden was well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly.
Now for the criticisms:
- The breakfast is more than meager, definitely not appropriate for a 4.5-star hotel. The coffee was cold, there was no muesli, the yogurt was inedible, and there was very little fruit.
- The hotel is completely off the beaten path; you can't get anywhere without a motorbike or transportation. Although advertised on their website, the hotel couldn't arrange a scooter for us, even during low season. We ended up sorting it out ourselves, successfully.
- An additional 21% tax/service charge is added to the restaurant prices, which guests should be aware of.
- The sound system crackles constantly; it should either be turned off or repaired.
- Overall, given the price of the accommodation, we expected more.
HHaki AkujiThe place is a bit distant from others as it is on top of the hill and the breakfast is a one plate course. Do take note that the jacuzzi doesnt warm up. It’s more of a chill pool
However the view is nice, The room is nice, the staff are top. I would most definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserVery close to Kuta Beach, just a few minutes walk. The room is very average, with a door inside, which is weird. The breakfast environment is very good, you can see the sea. The breakfast is self-service, with quite a few varieties, and the taste is very Indonesian, which is not accustomed to it
