The cleanliness and organization of this hostel are exceptional, making it a top choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. The facilities are modern, and the overall atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, perfect for both solo travelers and groups. One downside is that the hostel has an in-house restaurant, so bringing in food and drinks from outside is not allowed. Additionally, there’s no kitchen available for guests, which might be a drawback for those who prefer cooking their own meals or traveling on a tight budget. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, stylish, and well-maintained hostel in Miami and don’t mind dining at their restaurant, Generator Hostel is a fantastic option.

A large hotel that would benefit from renovation as furniture and fixtures are showing their age. Kitchen is very small and not well equipped. Breakfast is basic as is Happy Hour. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Excellent hostel with a fantastic location, and for minimal money too! The staff are friendly and genuinely always ready to help. The rooms are clean, with daily housekeeping, and the beds and their ladders are sturdy. There's a hot water dispenser near the pool (next to the washing machines).

Conveniently located for the Miami Port and Airport. Check-in was quick and ahead of schedule, for which I'm extremely grateful to the staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. There's a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave, but no dishes. Breakfast is ok on the 24th floor. Cons: The bathroom faucets are a bit peeling, but everything works. There's a railroad track and construction site right outside the window, which creates noise. Ideal for one or two nights.

The hotel is pretty good, conveniently located near the airport, and the interior environment is quite nice – clean and tidy. The rooms were suitable, and everyone was satisfied. The only downside, which is unavoidable, is the noise from the airplanes. Other than that, everything was great.

Overall pretty decent hotel in a great location. For the price, you get what you pay for, the room was in decent condition. The entrance definitely should be more visible as it was hard to find the place… Parking was not ideal as they suggest you park in a paid parking lot $40 a day that’s a 6 min walk from the actual hotel. The rooms were very pretty though and clean, and the service was friendly! Only complaint really is the lack of counter/storage in the ADA king bed room… there is a single sink that you would find in a powder room, with no counter or cabinets. Wasn’t too expensive especially given the close location, so would come back to this hotel. Also, I would say that I wouldn’t visit if you’re looking for a quieter stay as the walls are pretty thin and there were definitely some rowdy late night guests. Thats many places in SoBe though, so was expecting as much.

I booked it with a friend. The room is large, you can store your luggage, and the service staff is very helpful with free parking. I went there during Ultra. The room price was reasonable and it took about 20 minutes to take an Uber to the city. recommend!

Great location. Rooms are clean, spacious, air conditioned.. They allow me to do a really early check in with charge. The staff is nice, helpful and professional, specially Nathaly, such an awesome and kind person.

Staying in Penguin Hotel is very convenient since it is really closed by at the Beach and nearby outlets. However, when we were checking in the lady who assisted us didn’t explained well the informations. And every night there’s no front desk. But overall stay it’s really good the free breakfast was really good I will definitely recommend.

Review: I arrived at 7:00 AM and found no staff, no reception, and no check-in instructions. My wife and I had to wait outside until another guest happened to come out and let us in. Inside, I met someone who I thought was staff, but he was just another guest. He tried to help me contact the hotel, but no one — not even other guests — could reach the manager. There is no real lobby, just a yard. I waited three hours outside until someone finally responded. Then I was told I couldn’t check in until 3:00 PM unless I paid $100 extra. That’s way more than most hotels charge for early check-in which is about 20$. I asked for a refund so I could leave — they refused. With no choice, I left my luggage with the housekeeper (the only helpful person) and had to walk around the city with my wife for six hours before coming back. When I finally checked in, I just got a text message with a door code — no person, no welcome. The room had lots of bugs, and both of us got bitten badly overnight. There were even cockroaches in the kitchen. This is not a real hotel. It’s overpriced, poorly managed, and has no customer service. Avoid if you care about basic hospitality.
