GGuest UserThis place is in walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants (Shaggy’s, Saulte’, Chimneys). We enjoyed walking to the beach and the restaurant options near by. There is a restaurant on site. During our stay, there appeared to be parties and other events so we did not eat there. We enjoyed renting beach chairs a close by. There were a couple of things that didn’t make it perfect. We were told the restaurant closed at 10p. On the Saturday, there was a bunch of commotion that carried well past 12a at the restaurant. No worries for us but could be bothersome for some. Especially because you could hear everything through the balcony and walls. Then the Sunday night, our neighbor was extra loud. Not the fault of the hotel. But he was hollering and playing music very loud. It could be head from our room. He was pretty obnoxious. All in all, this place has so much potential. We did enjoy our overall stay. The “Melinda” suite was nice and cozy. And the restaurants nearby were nice. Plus the beach is right there!! I would consider staying here again.

GGuest UserOk hotel, a little pricey, good area around lots of restaurants, had a mouse problem, called the front desk, the attendant did offer a full refund but we declined because it was a Holliday weekend and all hotels were booked but he did give us some money off. Key card stopped working when we got out of the pool so we had to up front to get our cards rekeyed.

GGuest UserThe grounds and exterior of the White House hotel is wonderful. However, other features of this hotel leave something to be desired. Firstly, if you're looking for a place to unwind by the pool with a great ocean view, you're in luck, but unfortunately the pool is not heated. The dining room was unavailable due to ”construction” or ”remodeling,” so any food ordered (which was good) either had to be room-service or eaten at the bar. I stayed in a standard room with a king bed, which was not very comfortable. The vanity light in the bathroom was only half lit, making shaving difficult. The TV in the room was old and the back light seemed to be going out. There was a small 3 drawer dresser for clothing, but other than that, really nothing other than the nightstands to set things on (but there was a very small bistro table for the coffee maker. And the most frustrating part, the AC unit either made the room VERY cold or VERY warm. The uncomfortable bed, with thin covers and a bipolar HVAC made getting good rest impossible. For the same price or less, I could have stayed at one of the casinos with better amenities and more comfortable rooms.
