Хороший вариант для транзитной остановки при поездках. В 100 метрах автобусный терминал, откуда можно уехать в Бангкок, на Самуи или Пхукет. Отель очень чистый, есть wi-fi, скромные завтраки: фрукты, кофе, рис, яйцо, какие то местные блюда. Останавливались уже второй раз. Персонал доброжелателен. В полукилометре огромный торговый центр с большим выбором . 

Location is nice, right in town with 7/11 n Watson within walking distance. But room not very clean. Bed a bit hard but unfortunately, gave only 1 pillow. We had to pay an extra 40 bahts for an extra pillow while most hotels would gladly give U for free

This is my go-to place to stay, great value for money and close to Central Plaza. It's super affordable! Whenever I'm in Surat Thani, I always stay here. It's also not far to drive to Nakhon Si Thammarat. At this price, it's definitely a good deal, highly recommend! The staff are also incredibly helpful and provide excellent service.

Сначала плюсы: + очень приятные девушки на ресепшен, дружелюбные, стремятся помочь) + есть холодильник в номере + чистое х/б постельное бельё + две бутылки воды по 0,6 л - это прямо очень приятно в жару) + в душе есть и горячая, и холодная вода + отель расположен в тихом месте + хорошо и тихо работает кондиционер, регулируется нормально, поэтому смогла спать даже со включенным + около 950 м до офиса Phantip, откуда отправка на острова Самуи, Панган) Минусы, что легко исправить: - прямо клочья пыли и мусора в общественных местах, в коридорах, на лестницах ( легко решается даже простым подметанием; - везде, и в номере тоже много черных длинных волос (- в душевой черная плесень в швах между плитками( при регулярной уборке с доместосом всё пройдет; - очень короткий шланг для душа, можно перетерпеть разок, конечно же … Но неудобно ( - не было туалетной бумаги в номере! Оказалось, заменили на маленькую пачку кухонных бумажных салфеток… Ну ок) - чайника тоже не было, но его и не заявляли. Очень неудобно без кипятка: ни чай не заварить, ни лапшу на скорую руку ( Но! Я спустилась и спросила на ресепшен и девушка выдала мне чайник) Спасибо большое, спасли меня от голодного вечера) - ещё маленькая заметка: вешалок в шкафу нет; хорошо, я останавливалась лишь на одну ночь и они мне не потребовались. Итого: если остановиться на одну ночь, то вполне норм. Но в следующий раз я таки постараюсь остановиться в другом месте, где лучше с удобствами)

Facilities: Microwave, coffee machine, plates and bowls are available in the room. Hygiene: Very clean. Two toilets, one with shower. The swimming pool is very clean. Environment: Built on the mountain, so there is no garden-like feeling, all villas. A bit remote, suitable for self-driving. Service: The beautiful lady who checked in was very warm and polite. If you have a car, I highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback is that the shower head in the bathroom is too small, I hope it will be improved.

Communication was a bit challenging. I'd messaged them via the travel site and emailed the correct address, but it seems calling is the most reliable way to reach them. I wanted to arrange a pickup, as Bolt/Grab services in Surat Thani don't accommodate 5 people; they only cater for 4, and we also had quite a bit of luggage. The van was supposed to meet us at Surat Thani station, but our bus dropped us off in the city center instead. This led to a dramatic 45-minute wait, during which we made several calls and sent emails. It was incredibly frustrating because our emails weren't getting through, and the staff member's English wasn't good enough to fully understand my concerns. Eventually, we were picked up, but by then, after a 6-hour journey, we were completely worn out. Upon arrival, check-in was quick. Unfortunately, the rooms don't have balconies, but they are clean. The bed was too soft; if one person turned over, the other could feel it. However, there was a TV, so we could connect our Chromecast to watch Netflix. The pool was beautiful, and there was a designated smoking area outside. Two pillows are provided per bed, so there's no need to ask for extras. The only downside is that pool towels aren't provided, so you have to use your bath towel for the pool and then dry yourself with it again after showering. I find this unhygienic; I asked for a second set of towels, but I think this should be a standard offering. They diligently refill water bottles daily, and housekeeping is excellent – you don't even need to ask, they simply do a great job. The hotel has a fridge stocked with drinks and beer for purchase, which allowed us to comfortably sit outside. Someone is always at the reception until late, which is reassuring. It was very quiet, so we had the pool all to ourselves the next day too. We found the mall, and the receptionist kindly helped us locate a supermarket less than a 5-minute walk away. She also arranged a taxi for us to the pier for the following day. For our two-night stay, it was perfect. We only had breakfast one morning, and it was less than we expected and not really worth the price. All in all, this was an excellent hotel for us to unwind before catching our boat. The staff truly goes out of their way to help you wherever they can.

Very average hotel for the price. Rooms were big. Air conditioning could not be switched off (can change temp) in room... had to be done by hotel. I got many mosquito bites in breakfast/lobby area. The breakfast is brought in and heated up, which means no requests.

A Fading Gem with a Fantastic Breakfast The Wang Tai Hotel feels like a grand dame from a bygone era. Walking into the lobby, you can see it was once a truly luxurious place, and that sense of scale and history is still there. However, it's clear the hotel is in need of a bit of a makeover. While everything is clean, the decor and some furnishings feel a little tired and dated. That minor point aside, our stay was very pleasant. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to assist us. The breakfast, however, was a wonderful and unexpected highlight! Instead of a standard buffet, it's ordered a la carte from a menu. Don't let that worry you the range is huge, covering both Thai and Western options. Everything we ordered was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. It felt more like a restaurant experience than a hotel breakfast. The large swimming pool is a major plus – perfect for a refreshing dip and lounging in the sun. The location is also very good, making it a convenient base for exploring Surat Thani. In summary, if you can look past the slightly worn edges, The Wang Tai Hotel offers incredible value, spearheaded by a stellar breakfast, great pool, and excellent service. A little refurbishment would easily make this a 5-star experience again.

Good location if you need to get to the pier! Nothing else going on around the hotel. Clean and comfortable

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Deposit for the key is 100 baht, nothing else is needed. It cost about 1100₽, for this price everything is fine. For a cheap overnight stay before a flight or a ferry, it is good. Cleanliness is not bad. Two bottles of water in the fridge 👍🏻 The air conditioner works, fridge, hot water available
