Great location for Bristol airport. Comfy beds, kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Airport shuttle service available, however this is £8 p.p. which I think is a little steep, considering you're staying at the hotel. On site restaurant is also a bit pricey and they don't stock flavoured gin at the bar!

Situated about 5 mins walk from temple meads train station and as we where there for a gig in queens square which was only a 5 min walk away too this travel lodge was a great little place to find in this location. Very clean very basic but just what we needed.

srchmzWe stayed here as a group of four in two separate rooms. We chose the hotel partly because of its rustic style, but after this stay we realised that this type of accommodation was not really for us.
Unfortunately, our stay coincided with an extremely hot week in the UK, and the biggest issue was the temperature in the rooms. There was no proper cooling, only small fans, and they were not enough at all. One of our rooms became extremely hot during the day, while the other was very uncomfortable at night. Because of the heat, we had to leave the room earlier than planned.
There was also no lift, which may be expected in some older UK buildings, but it is still something to keep in mind. Cleanliness was average, but I cannot say it was particularly impressive.
Overall, it was not a very comfortable stay for us. The building has character, but the room conditions, especially during hot weather, made the experience difficult. I personally would not choose to stay here again.

POSITIVES:
Perfect location, friendly staff, rooms were clean and modern with biscuits, tea/coffee and mini bar. Very comfortable soft bed.
NEGATIVES:
Both the room and bed were quite small and cramped and fan in the bathroom wasn’t very powerful

We were pleased with room, welcome and breakfast and ready to give a good review.
I had booked via the Trip App and paid for a double room for 2 people with breakfast- at checkout a very rude receptionist demanded I pay £29 for two breakfasts and would not accept I’d already in effect paid for breakfast when booking. I showed her the booking confirmation which clearly stated the deal included breakfast - she still asked for payment. I demanded to see the Manager who still was reticent to accept that breakfast had already been paid for…..
Unacceptable.
As a result we were late for a family funeral

Guest UserWe had the loveliest time here the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was about a 30 minute walk into town and if you are travelling into town at rush hour walking is the best way as the traffic was pretty bad.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean and tidy and we were blown away by the service from the staff it really was lovely infact I was shocked to find they were part of a group and not independent as it felt the kind of service you would get from an independent. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the building was so beautiful inside and out we had a really lovely stay toiletries were provided and they smelt beautiful. thanks so much we had a lovely time.

Maria The Beverage GoblinThe room was clean but there were very few amenities. No fridge, no safe, no air con. Very basic room for the price. Bathroom had only soap and body wash (again very basic). For a room that charges over £100 per night this felt extortionate.
The walls are paper-thin. You can hear people walking in the corridor and your next door neighbours.
The only saving grace is the fact that the ladies at the reception are very lovely and helpful.
You would be better off staying in a nicer hotel in a city and just bus / taxi to the sport grounds.

Had a lovely stay overnight at the Grand. Whilst both lifts were broken they had my bags brought up to my room for me and kindly stored them when I checked out as well so I could explore the city before my train departure. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. Only slight gripe was with the towels, whilst they were clean they were a bit tatty and they had quite a musty smell to them. Apart from that I can't fault any part of my stay.

The bad-
1)Check in is only between 4-10pm so be aware.
2)Host (male) was unwelcoming and sarcastic on arrival, after a long journey - unnecessary 😏
3) Room 2- Bed squeaked throughout night with every movement. Thats the worst negative!
The good-
1) Room lovely, spacious and clean, including bathroom
2) Good range of Tea/Coffee and biscuits
3) Cost of room good value for money, central location
