I suspect the owner has other interests, and the B&B is just a sideline. The entrance is also undergoing extensive renovations, and there was only one housekeeper on the day I stayed. The room was clean, but the service and homelike feeling were lacking. Nuodeng is a wonderful village worth revisiting, but it's already undergoing large-scale commercial development.
