đ A stay that exceeded my expectations, highly recommended! The most delightful surprise of this trip was choosing this guesthouse. From check-in to check-out, every detail made me feel warm and comfortable. It was the off-season, and the owner upgraded me to the Biluan room type, which was incredibly photogenic.
Environment: Located in the heart of Nuodeng, just a one-minute walk from the popular photo spot, Daqingshu (Big Green Tree), it's very easy to find.
Facilities: The room is very spacious, perfect for photos, and has a great vacation atmosphere. In the morning, you can smell the fresh grass in the air as soon as you open the window.
đđService: The owner is very nice and we had a great chat. He enthusiastically planned our itinerary and highly recommended that we visit the Jade Emperor Pavilion on the mountaintop. The Chinese pistache trees at the top are breathtaking and make for amazing photos.
đDining: I highly recommend dining in the restaurant. The auntie there is a great cook. She grows a lot of vegetables herself and took us to the garden to pick them, so we could have vegetables served right after picking them from the field. This is something you can't do in the city."

Hotel near Nuodeng Ancient Town,Yunlong
My inn underwent overall renovation of water, electricity, and rooms in August 2024.
The inn is located on the mountainside of Nuodeng Village. In order to get into the village, guests need to go through a parking lot at the foot of the mountain (the parking lot is public and free). After parking, please walk up to Eastern side of Daqingshu (a big tree next to the main square of the village), which takes around 15 minutes (the inn is located around 20 meters above Daqingshu). The straight-line distance from the parking lot is only around 300 meters, but it is still a bit tiring to walk up as the whole village is located on a mountain.
Be careful while walking up in the evening. The village has dim street lights.

"Such a wonderful, peaceful stay, with the most friendly and helpful English speaking hosts! Kindhearted owner Liuting (Eva) cooked us very tasty vegetarian meals, and her partner Dima gave us some lovely travel recommendations in the region. Liutings brother and sister were also very sweet. Nuodeng is the perfect combination of nature (nice walks in and around the village) and culture (old temples, beautiful old houses and stairs- it's smart to bring a backpack instead of suitcase). Also very suitable to work away from home for a few days: strong wifi and plenty of little work spaces up and downstairs in the property, with the most beautiful views over the valley. The cute animal companions made our stay complete: I loved the cat cuddles, and dog Xiaohua even joined us on multiple walks. On our departure day, Liuting helped us so much with organising a shared taxi too. And on top of everything: the food and stay was so affordable, great value for money. We hope to come back one day!"

"The hotel is very new, in good sanitary condition, and the price is at the level of a fast chain hotel. The surrounding environment is a bit messy and it is a bit far from the central city. Two things to complain about, the breakfast was terrible, the breakfast time ended at 9:30, and before 9 o'clock there was nothing to eat except a bowl of rice noodles in clear soup, and the waiter said you were late, everyone else had eaten. This is the management level of Home Inn. It would be better to provide them by portion instead of self-service. There was no hot water to wash my face in the morning. The breakfast area is a semi-outdoor bar, which is beautiful and stunning. During this trip to Yunnan, I booked a lot of hotels on Ctrip, but this is the only one with a bad review."

"Hardware is definitely the best in Nuodeng. The owner's careful design can be seen in every detail of the room. It is comfortable to sleep and safe to use. Even the bathroom supplies are Penhaligon's, with a fresh fragrance. The decorative paintings on the wall are specially drawn by the owner instead of the same old prints. You will never be disappointed if you come to Nuodeng to live in Suishan. By the way, their dishes are also delicious. The local chicken mushrooms are very fragrant, and the ham... even a ten-year-old child knows that it is delicious and can't stop eating... When I left, I bought more than three pounds of ham, and a small piece was cut into four bags of thin slices to take to Dali to make snacks with friends. I finished it before I arrived in Dali...
A small suggestion: It is still a bit difficult to find the location of Suishan when you first come to it. It is recommended to make an electronic hand-drawn map and mark the important coordinates of the parking lot, bridge, big green tree, and Qitingyuan, so that it is easier to locate Suishan! Looking forward to seeing you next time!"

"House: The B&B was renovated from a 400-year-old old house. The interior retains the style of the ancient house, with sliding windows that reveal the mountains and a very atmospheric feel. The only drawback is that the sanitary conditions inside the ancient house need to be improved.
Scenery: The B&B is surrounded by gardens and there is a mountainside cafe where you can watch the mountains and chat, which is very pleasant. There is also a restaurant under construction in the garden, which is worth looking forward to.
Person: Whether it is the boss sister, Big Beard, or the aunt, or the little girl, they are all very honest and friendly. The cooking made by Big Beard and the aunt is very delicious. We sit in the garden every day and eat the delicious food they cook. Donât be too happy. People in Nuodeng like to give their children delicious food. We took the baby for a walk around the village, and the baby's belly bulged... There are also three dogs in the B&B. They are not afraid of people and can play with them casually. The baby enjoys playing with them every day. Huh.
It was our first long-distance self-driving trip with a 2-year-old baby. We chose Nuodeng and Nuoyan. Of course we were tired, but it was all worth it."

"I found this highly rated inn on Ctrip and booked it with the intention of giving it a try. It was really surprising to find such an elegant inn in Nuodeng Ancient Village, Yunlong County, Dali, a relatively niche tourist destination. The owner of the inn, Xiao Huang, is a very careful and gentle girl. She speaks in an organized manner and is not impatient. I didnât know how to get to the inn with my heavy luggage. When I called her, she patiently told me how to download a Yunnan travel reservation. In carpooling, he explained clearly how to get the puller to pick me up and carry my luggage to the inn. Especially after arriving, she turned on the air conditioner in the room in advance to cool down and relieve her fatigue. The room is also clean, refreshing, and a bit artistic. After eating delicious ham and egg fried rice, we walked around and took a good nap until eight in the morning. The village is very quiet at night, except for the occasional meowing of cats."

GGuest UserThe inn is located above the village. The scenery is very good. It is a ten-minute walk from the scenic spots. It is very quiet to stay here. The room is large, and there is a small tea table in the bay window at the end of the bed, where you can watch the scenery and drink tea. Outside the floor-to-ceiling glass is an independent small garden about the same size as the room, with some small landscapes suitable for taking pictures. The temperature of the shower water in the bathroom is suitable and the water is quite large. It's great to walk around the village, take a shower, and drink beer in the small garden! It is particularly worth mentioning that the bath towels and hand towels are sterilized and wrapped in cellophane, which is very hygienic! The boss is really polite and enthusiastic. I will come again!

I just searched on Xiaohongshu randomly and didn't expect much. I was surprised when I arrived. The design and facilities of the room are all high-end homestays, but the price is only half of the same type of famous homestays. It's a surprise! The bedding is very comfortable and the pillows must be praised. And her ham is unique, it's delicious and not as salty as other hams. You must order it. The eggs are picked up by myself from the chicken coop, and the vegetables are picked by the eldest sister in the field. The native chicken only eats vegetable leaves and corn. The soup is golden and fragrant. The landlord's family is simple and kind, and gave me a very good experience during this trip. I highly recommend it!

It was my first time staying in a youth hostel, and I really liked the layout of the hostel. The food cooked by the proprietress was also delicious. I would choose this place again if I go there again.

GGuest UserIn the natural surroundings of Nuodeng, this kind of B&B is quite good, but it's not as boastful as some other reviews suggest. I suspect the owner has other interests, and the B&B is just a sideline. The entrance is also undergoing extensive renovations, and there was only one housekeeper on the day I stayed. The room was clean, but the service and homelike feeling were lacking. Nuodeng is a wonderful village worth revisiting, but it's already undergoing large-scale commercial development. I hope the ancient village can become less commercial and more rustic. Here's a photo of the Milky Way taken from his balcony on September 20th (fruit machine).

YYusanxiadeyikewanziSatisfaction beyond expectations, the whole is very new and there is no smell. The bedding is comfortable and the bathroom is large. There is a parking location in front of the door, which is convenient for self-driving. The boss is warm and kind. It is about 20 minutes from the parking lot of the Nuodeng Ancient Village Visitor Center. It is a good choice not to live in the ancient village. It is highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserThe B&B is located halfway up the mountain in Nuodeng, and the view from the room window is absolutely stunning. The B&B also has a garden restaurant, and even though it's winter, the garden is still in full bloom. It's hard to imagine how beautiful it would be in spring and summer! The B&B's housekeeper was incredibly helpful. Seeing I was traveling alone, she not only helped me with dinner but also took me to Yunlong's pig-killing rice restaurant. I can't express my gratitude enough.

GGuest UserReturning to Guangdong from Deqin Motorcycle Tour, I didnât have the chance to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain in Meili this timeâšď¸. With some regrets, I navigated to Nuodeng and chose the highly rated Hemerocallis Lodge. The overall accommodation experience was very good. This was my motorcycle trip. The most restful night of sleepđ. Before I left, I happened to see swallows flying between the eaves of the small courtyard. It turned out that the little ones chose to build their nests on the wooden beams of the small courtyard. Haha, I was lucky to have this small courtyard. There were swallows. Come, good omenâ! Well, I can sort out the regrets caused by Meiliâs cloudsđ. When writing this review, I should also plan when to come to Hemerocallis House to see the Yanzi family and add some blessingsđ.
