"We stayed for two nights as a family of three and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nuodeng. We’ll definitely be back! The Guesthouse The guesthouse is run by a lovely local Bai family—everyone pitches in, and all were warm and welcoming. The young lady managing the place was a fantastic host, always attentive and happy to accommodate our needs. Grandma was just as friendly! Our three-year-old had a great time playing with their toddler, some neighbourhood kids, and other guests in the spacious twin courtyards. The whole property is tastefully decorated—traditional charm with a modern twist. The Rooms We stayed in one of the older family rooms, set slightly apart in a quieter courtyard. It was clean and peaceful. The newer rooms near the main courtyard are brighter and more contemporary—some even offer sweeping views down the mountainside. The Food The on-site restaurant is excellent and arguably the best value in Nuodeng. Breakfast noodles were delicious, and many dishes featured Nuodeng’s signature cured ham. The cooks were happy to adapt dishes to suit different tastes—less salt for our child, vegetarian options, and more. Surprisingly good espresso, too, at very reasonable prices. Nuodeng Village Perfect for travellers who enjoy slow, exploratory travel. There aren’t many must-see landmarks, but there’s a short scenic hike to an old temple, meandering stone stairways, village animals (great for kids), and a handful of cafés and restaurants. Adventurous hikers can set off on local trails and see where they lead! 我们一家三口在诺邓住了两晚，整体体验非常棒，下次一定还会再来！ 民宿体验 这是一家由当地白族家庭经营的民宿，全家人都特别热情、亲切，脸上总是带着笑容。民宿日常由一位小姐姐打理得井井有条，招呼也特别周到；奶奶也特别和蔼，十分有人情味。我们三岁的孩子在两个超大的院子里玩得特别开心，和他们家的小朋友、邻居家的孩子，还有其他住客都打成一片。整个民宿布置得很用心，既保留了白族传统的味道，又融入了现代元素，既有格调又很舒适。 房间环境 我们住的是一间家庭房，位于另一个相对独立的小院子里，环境安静、私密性好。房间非常干净，住着安心。主院那边是新建的房间，风格更现代，采光也更好，有几间还能俯瞰山景。 餐饮体验 民宿里的餐厅很值得推荐，性价比在诺邓算是非常高的。早餐的热铒丝特别香，正餐里很多菜都用了当地特色火腿，风味十足。厨房的阿姨们和小伙子都很热情，也非常愿意根据客人的需求调整口味——我们家小朋友吃得比较清淡，他们也都很细心照顾，素食也完全没问题。这里还提供意式咖啡，品质不错，价格也实在。 关于诺邓村 这个古村落特别适合喜欢慢节奏旅行的朋友。这里没有太多网红打卡点，但这正是我们喜欢的那种质朴和宁静。可以轻徒步走到山上的一座老庙，也可以在村里沿着蜿蜒的石阶闲逛，看看路边的鸡鸭牛羊——对亲子旅行来说是个加分项。村里还有几家气氛不错的小咖啡馆和餐厅。如果你热爱探索，不妨试着沿着村外的山路随走随看，说不定会有意外的发现。"

"🖊My trip is over, so I have to give a serious review. 🏠A stay that exceeded my expectations, highly recommended! The most delightful surprise of this trip was choosing this guesthouse. From check-in to check-out, every detail made me feel warm and comfortable. It was the off-season, and the owner upgraded me to the Biluan room type, which was incredibly photogenic. Environment: Located in the heart of Nuodeng, just a one-minute walk from the popular photo spot, Daqingshu (Big Green Tree), it's very easy to find. Facilities: The room is very spacious, perfect for photos, and has a great vacation atmosphere. In the morning, you can smell the fresh grass in the air as soon as you open the window. 💁🖐Service: The owner is very nice and we had a great chat. He enthusiastically planned our itinerary and highly recommended that we visit the Jade Emperor Pavilion on the mountaintop. The Chinese pistache trees at the top are breathtaking and make for amazing photos. 🍚Dining: I highly recommend dining in the restaurant. The auntie there is a great cook. She grows a lot of vegetables herself and took us to the garden to pick them, so we could have vegetables served right after picking them from the field. This is something you can't do in the city."

"I had a truly immersive weekend in Nuodeng. I stayed at a guesthouse in Gujingjianshan, a village in Nuodeng where goods are still transported by mules. The facilities there are comparable to guesthouses costing two or three thousand yuan in Dali Old Town, and the service was incredibly attentive. They even delivered a large bottle of contact lens solution in the middle of the night – something you might not even get in Dali! I also met Xiaoxi and her family, who were also there for the weekend. We played cards with their baby, Zhouzhou, in the evening 🃏 and stargazed together on the terrace before bed. The food in Nuodeng is much tastier, with better ingredients than in Dali. The meal consisted of stir-fried green peppers and ham, steamed sausage, and stir-fried chayote tips—so delicious it made my eyebrows fall off! I got up early to take a walk around the village, then came back for breakfast. Breakfast was rice noodles—they're not as thin as these in Dali—served with large blueberries and small, soft kiwis; the highland fruits were truly delicious. The guesthouse was piled high with new books. I spent the morning sunbathing, finishing Lyndon B. Linden's autobiography, *Searching for My Hometown in China*, which brought the characters to life. I casually flipped through Tagore's *Stray Birds*: ”Let this be my conclusion: I believe in your love.”"

"The inn is near a big green tree, and there is a small green tree at the door. Because of its high location, the scenery is also very beautiful. The early morning sun shines into the restaurant. I take photos facing the sun at a table facing the road. The light and scenery are really great. The room is decorated in a warm and artistic style. The bathroom is designed to be separated into three parts. The facilities in the room are complete, and the bedding and bathroom are particularly clean, making people feel comfortable, at ease and warm. Especially their Nuodeng raw ham, which has a strong aroma of cured meat and just the right amount of saltiness, leaving you with an endless aftertaste. The Western breakfast is also very distinctive, with crispy toast and a unique flavor when paired with Nuodeng ham. Black coffee is blended with coconut water, giving it a unique aroma and taste. They also have a group of very friendly and cute furry children at home, including a pastoral dog named Xiaohua, who has shiny and soft fur; and three very clingy cats, Dabai, Erbai and Lili. In short, after staying in so many B&Bs, this is my favorite and the most comfortable one!"

"The hotel is very new, in good sanitary condition, and the price is at the level of a fast chain hotel. The surrounding environment is a bit messy and it is a bit far from the central city. Two things to complain about, the breakfast was terrible, the breakfast time ended at 9:30, and before 9 o'clock there was nothing to eat except a bowl of rice noodles in clear soup, and the waiter said you were late, everyone else had eaten. This is the management level of Home Inn. It would be better to provide them by portion instead of self-service. There was no hot water to wash my face in the morning. The breakfast area is a semi-outdoor bar, which is beautiful and stunning. During this trip to Yunnan, I booked a lot of hotels on Ctrip, but this is the only one with a bad review."

"The view of the inn is super beautiful! The lady and her family are all very kind, gentle, and their cooking skills are great! We were lucky enough to catch freshly killed local chicken and stewed it with mushrooms. Oops, it was super delicious! The raw ham was paired with fairy mint and cherry tomatoes. I couldn't stop eating, and the two of them finished a large portion. The young lady was afraid that our food would be too salty, so she specially made mint tea for us 🍵 It was delicious! The B&B is easy to find. It’s right next to the big green tree, halfway up the mountain. The scenery is super beautiful. Whether it’s sunset or morning light, it’s a worthwhile trip! Good food, good accommodation and good looks!"

"Hardware is definitely the best in Nuodeng. The owner's careful design can be seen in every detail of the room. It is comfortable to sleep and safe to use. Even the bathroom supplies are Penhaligon's, with a fresh fragrance. The decorative paintings on the wall are specially drawn by the owner instead of the same old prints. You will never be disappointed if you come to Nuodeng to live in Suishan. By the way, their dishes are also delicious. The local chicken mushrooms are very fragrant, and the ham... even a ten-year-old child knows that it is delicious and can't stop eating... When I left, I bought more than three pounds of ham, and a small piece was cut into four bags of thin slices to take to Dali to make snacks with friends. I finished it before I arrived in Dali... A small suggestion: It is still a bit difficult to find the location of Suishan when you first come to it. It is recommended to make an electronic hand-drawn map and mark the important coordinates of the parking lot, bridge, big green tree, and Qitingyuan, so that it is easier to locate Suishan! "The stay experience was great! The location of the hotel is very good, the lobby environment is elegant, the front desk is very efficient, and the surrounding food is also intimately introduced. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept until dawn. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the hot water comes out quickly, and the toiletries smell good. Soundproofing is good, not awakened at all"

"The inn is located above the village. The scenery is very good. It is a ten-minute walk from the scenic spots. It is very quiet to stay here. The room is large, and there is a small tea table in the bay window at the end of the bed, where you can watch the scenery and drink tea. Outside the floor-to-ceiling glass is an independent small garden about the same size as the room, with some small landscapes suitable for taking pictures. The temperature of the shower water in the bathroom is suitable and the water is quite large. It's great to walk around the village, take a shower, and drink beer in the small garden! It is particularly worth mentioning that the bath towels and hand towels are sterilized and wrapped in cellophane, which is very hygienic! The boss is really polite and enthusiastic. I will come again!"
