This was by far the most delightful stay of our trip. Staying in an old house within an ancient village offered a truly unique experience. The old house was incredibly well-preserved, and every decorative detail showcased the owner's thoughtful touches. The room itself was thoughtfully modernized to suit contemporary guests, and yes, it really, really, really had a smart toilet! 🚽 We had dinner at the guesthouse both nights, ordering from the owner. While the prices were a little higher than outside, the ingredients were exquisite, the preparation was refined, and the dining atmosphere was wonderfully atmospheric. The food itself was very satisfying. (I absolutely loved the tofu, which is apparently a local specialty). Also, when you're exploring the village, don't forget to say hello to the local dogs! 🐶 They're all very friendly, and we became good pals with them over our two-day stay.

The B&B is located at the highest point of the mountain. It happened to rain during the two days of the trip. I thought I would be able to see the sea of ​​clouds the next day, but it turned out to be foggy when I woke up early. But I was not disappointed. Chenjiapu has a unique flavor when it rains, and the view from the room is great. It's the best. It's a refreshing day hiding in the mountains away from the city's atmosphere. If you like a different Chenjiapu, don’t complain about the bad weather, enjoy the moment, wear a jacket and get wet in the rain, at that moment freedom reaches its peak. Another thing to mention is that the boss was so nice. He introduced us to the village when he arrived late that day, called us in advance to ask what time we would arrive, and even helped us carry our luggage.
