Everything here is perfect for an ideal trip. Once again, we are convinced that in China it’s better to choose a homestay rather than a chain hotel — it gives you so many more positive emotions and a truly authentic experience. Here, everything is thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

Guest UserThe boss is a handsome man born in the 1980s and very enthusiastic. The breakfast is very attentive. The Jinyun handmade noodles are delicious. The room is clean, tidy and refreshing. I like their graphite and natural stones. His bonsai are very vibrant. In his spare time, the boss made me their Jinyun yellow tea. The handmade yellow tea is good, and the black tea made from yellow tea leaves is also delicious. It was a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend his place. The boss is from Xiandu. I will stay at his place when I come to Xiandu in the future. I wish the boss a prosperous business.

A very design homestay with a great location. The proprietress is very warm and thoughtful. The breakfast is so rich and delicious. The fourth floor is my favorite. I washed and dried all my clothes after playing for many days. I didn't want to leave after living here. The homestay is located in the scenic area and is very close to several scenic spots. The room is very clean. The proprietress patiently introduced us to the place where we ate and taught us how to play. The service is very good and I will come next time.

Guest UserThe guesthouse boasts a beautiful exterior design with a lovely courtyard, close to Xiaochibi (Little Red Cliff) and directly opposite the Parrot Park. The interior is meticulously designed, with high-quality furniture that is impeccably clean – just like home, even cleaner. The decor is truly exquisite; the first floor features a living room, tea table, sofa, TV, dining table, full-length mirror, and bathroom, all constructed from expensive solid wood. There's a washing machine, and clothes can be dried quickly in the outdoor drying area – the air is fresh and the sun is strong in Jinyun. I chose this guesthouse before the National Day holiday; the owner sounded very honest, offering breakfast included and the option to pre-order dinner, all made with ingredients from their own garden. On my first night, chatting with friends in the courtyard, the owner brought out water chestnuts, which I unknowingly devoured – they were delicious! Before leaving the scenic area, I rested at the tea table in the living room and was served hibiscus tea, the hibiscus flowers growing right in the guesthouse's courtyard. The living room displays a city-awarded diamond-level guesthouse plaque, which I felt was highly prestigious, and the overall experience certainly lived up to the honor. Another reminder to future visitors: when booking dinner, please communicate your taste preferences in advance, such as saltiness, spiciness, etc.

ftmWanting to enjoy a few days of slow living, we visited the Xiandu Scenic Area in Jinyun based on a friend's recommendation. Avoiding the hassle of rushing from one attraction to another, we opted for a guesthouse within the scenic area for four days – a low-carbon and leisurely trip. Xuanzhiyuan provided a wonderful experience and is definitely worth returning to. The rooms were clean and tidy, the courtyard quiet and peaceful. The rooms were comfortable enough to comfortably accommodate five people. (There's only one bathroom, so it needs to be used strategically. We had three people, which was fine.) The owner, Xiaopang, was attentive and welcoming, always ready to help and offering suggestions for optimizing our itinerary. The owner's mother, a gentle and beautiful woman from Jiangnan, prepared different breakfasts every day: noodles, wontons, porridge, green rice dumplings, sweet potatoes, and Jinyun sesame cakes – all delicious. The owner's father maintained the charming garden, loved photography, and made hand-drip coffee, treating us to coffee every morning. Dinghu Peak, Zhutan Mountain, Yandang Study, and Niweng Cave are all within walking distance, emphasizing a relaxed and leisurely pace. Xiaochibi and Xiandu Temple are also nearby; the owner drove us there, and we strolled back. Boss Bao drove us to Yanxia Village and Heyang Ancient Village. Four nights and three days, a leisurely stroll through Xiandu, very comfortable. I recommend visiting in spring (March, April, early May), and autumn is also said to be beautiful (October, November). I'll come back again sometime, Jinyun!

The beauty of Zuoju stands out among the surrounding rustic wooden houses. The decor is primarily American, with touches of Baroque style, reflecting the owner's discerning taste. Of course, the beautiful owner herself is the most beautiful part of the scenery. Not only is she beautiful, but she's also gentle and thoughtful. Both the people and the space feel seamless, creating a comfortable and relaxed stay. As a northerner, I'm most wary of damp bedding and room odors. Zuoju's rooms are spotlessly clean, and the bedding is dry and comfortable. The location is also excellent, within walking distance of the surrounding attractions, which is great for a walker like me. I'd definitely choose this place again.

Guest UserWe booked this B&B on the first day we went to Xiandu. The proprietress was kind-hearted and provided excellent service. She not only arranged for us to cook tea and sing by the fire, but also arranged an itinerary for the next day, which was in the room. There was something wrong with the facilities. The boss said that the air conditioner had just been overhauled, but when we turned it on, it would emit a burning smell, which was a bit scary. It started to rain and cool down on the day we went, so we didn't dare to turn on the air conditioner in the afternoon. I turned on a heater and it was a bit cold! But when we turned on the air conditioner at night, the smell disappeared, and we didn't sleep cold at all. Another problem is that we booked a stargazing room in the attic. If we turn on the air conditioning downstairs, the attic upstairs will be very stuffy! Overall, the room was on the small side. We were two adults and two children, so we had a lot of luggage. There were no luggage racks or tables inside, so it was quite crowded to put things in.

ZhongguoduxingxiaThe hotel is located within the Xiandu Scenic Area, just a 5-minute walk from the Dinghu Peak entrance. The scenic area shuttle bus stop is right in front of the entrance, making it very convenient. Currently, only Dinghu Peak and Furong Gorge require admission tickets within the Xiandu Scenic Area; the rest are free. The shuttle bus is valid for two days. My itinerary is for independent travelers, so the following suggestions are provided:
Day 1 Morning: Dinghu Peak Scenic Area: Since I'm staying at a guesthouse at the Dinghu Peak entrance, I won't be purchasing a bus ticket today. I'll walk the entire Dinghu Peak area, which takes about 2.5 hours. To save energy, I'll take a cable car to the back of Dinghu Peak. Drive up the mountain and walk down.
D1 Afternoon: Niutan Mountain Scenic Area: Before the entrance to Dinghu Peak Scenic Area, there's a greenway leading to Niutan Mountain, approximately 1.2 kilometers long.
D2 Morning: Furong Gorge Scenic Area: Buy a shuttle bus ticket to Niutan Mountain, then take the Furong Gorge shuttle bus. From the bus station, walk to the Furong Gorge entrance, crossing a bridge. The entrance is unassuming, but the scenery inside is beautiful and unique. Admission is 12 yuan (discounted), and entrance and exit are from the same location. The entire walk involves climbing stairs, approximately two hours.
D2 Afternoon: Take a shuttle bus to Xiao Chibi, Dadu Rock, and Xiandu Temple.
D3 Morning: Take a shuttle bus to the scenic area exit, then take a Didi to the high-speed rail station.
Xiandu Scenic Area has many trails, making it a pleasant stroll in the early morning and evening. Vehicles are controlled within the scenic area, so security is very safe. The guesthouse I stayed at left its doors unlocked at night.

The service was quite good. We arrived at 12 o'clock. The boss waited until we were 12 o'clock. I was very touched. The facilities of the homestay were very good, especially the mattress. My husband couldn't sleep too soft. This mattress was not soft or hard. It was very comfortable. The quality of sleep went up. The location is in the Xiandu Scenic Area, it is very convenient to drive to various attractions.
